Séjour agréable

Chambre à l étage dans le bâtiment externe très bien Variété des repas (avec quelques nuances, trop de plats "anglais " gélatine, gros gâteau plein de crème rose violet...,pas assez de dessert grecque)

Peu d animations, Les personnes qui se permettent très tôt le matin de monopoliser les transats pour la journée, sans que personne ne dise rien

Awesome quality-price report.Awwsome people and awesome food…100% recommend

Great location, close to beach, stores, restaurants and some attractions. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was awesome, so many delicious dishes to choose from.The cocktails and the live shows excited our evenings. Honestly it was hard to leave that place.

Wi-Fi wasn’t strong enough in our room, but we aren’t complaining.

Comfortable and close to the sea

It was first vacation with out baby and we had a great time. The room has all the facilities to prepare baby formula and food - kettle, microwave, fridge, stove etc. The saff loves children and everyone was very nice. The pools are fantastic - both big and baby paddling pool. They are not too deep so the water heats quickly, so baby could enjoy splashing too. Hotel was very close to the beaches. Relatively easy to go everywhere with a pram There was some entertainment in the pool area on some of the nights and it was a nice bonus. Food was varied, breakfasts were standard choice with some variety of British food like in most resorts. Dinners offered some Greek and international dishes. There was something different every night - we stayed for a week and nothing was a repeat. The baclava for dessert was great. Lots of fresh and cooked veggies and different types of meat every night. Gyros was nice. Food exceeded my expectations and I gladly tried lots of Greek dishes.

Wi Fi did not work in the suites as well as in the common areas

loved the food, the staff (who helped us a lot) and the location.

in our room the kitchen was completely empty and we had to buy kitchen tools. The kids club was messy and lack of games for toddlers.

Room was very big, with a nice balcony. The hotel's facilities were good, especially for a family with kids.

Typical all inclusive hotel, with average food and not as warm welcome from the stuff as you would expect in Crete. I was a bit disappointed to be completely honest from the lack of hospitality...

Superb

The hotel is located in a nice and lively area. There are two beautiful beaches nearby. Absolutely excellent staff throughout the hotel. Everyone works at 150% to ensure the best service - the bartenders and waiters are incredible. A big shout out to the hotel chefs, all the food was absolutely amazing. A big thank you to the great receptionist Maria, who helped us a lot in many things, as we were not on vacation with a travel agency but on our own.

The only downside is the large concentration of British tourists who are sometimes really inconsiderate (they occupy the sunbeds by the pool even though it is located elsewhere, they waste food, they act superior, etc.), but of course it depends on the particular person or family and the hotel is not to blame.

A lovely week away

The staff were really lovely, very helpful. The cleaners did a great job but did tend to come too early. The location is perfect. So close to a gorgeous stretch of beach and to some lovely shops and Tavernas. Plenty of loungers by the pool and the environment was really quiet and relaxing.

Food could have been hotter, often luke warm. Coffee machines often not working well, i.e. no milk served and usually only poured half a cup. The desserts were really poor. Other food was decent although on too many occasions there were no labels to let you know what was being served. The German customers appeared to get treated better, they were often given table service for their drinks the one evening there was entertainment by the poolside. We had to go to the bar ourselves, just seemed a little unfair really.

Great location

Lovely room in the new annex over the road, clean ,modern, with its own pool & was cleaned to a very high standard. Majority of staff were lovely. Especially the cleaning ladies in our block.

The food wasn’t great at all. Some days were fine, but mostly not & we ate out the majority of the time meaning a great more added expense to the holiday. Plus the drinks were shocking. Want a decent drink? That’s extra!! The local drinks were just rubbish.

Amazing stay with wonderful people

This was a lovely stay. Better than expected! The staff we're incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was extremely delicious and there was lots of choice and it changed every night. The baklava was to die for! There were always enough sunbeds, it was a minute walk from the beach it was a beautiful location. Thank you for making our stay some welcoming and so much fun! I want to come back again already!

The rooms in the hotel were clean and a they have a nice pool, good location,

the bath drain was not proper, water flowed slowly, food at dinner was not suitable for everyone. Although they approve to me late check out from booking request, on the property they said it's a mistake and try to charge me , which i didnt agree. Shame since its leaves me with bad impression

Nice smaller hotel with homely atmosphere

It is a smaller older hotel with nice atmosphere, we felt like at home. Especially staff at dinner were so so nice! And the ladies from housekeeping as well, thank you very much. No problem at getting a place by the pool. Everyone was friendly to out daughter. The location is amazing, so close to the beach, supermarket and restaurants.

You could tell that the room is a bit older, but we didn’t mind it really. The staff that worked at breakfast wasn’t in the best mood sometimes haha.

Globally correct, clean hotel but poor front desk to assist if questions.

Hotel location at a central place with nearly direct bus to many destinations was appreciated. Cleaning and restaurant staff was awesome with always willness to help and satisfy customer.

Lack of language proficiency, no sense of customer support, lack of experience when it was needed by the Reception staff, both morning and afternoon/evening decrease our global appreciation of the hotel. Example: No guidance to reach Heraklion by bus except a timetable sheet and finally we succeeded to get more information from the supermarket near the hotel.

Great Hotel with potential to get even better.

Blue Aegean is a really great Hotel! Especially the owners Familie and staff :) During our stay we treated very kindly and as friends! Especially Stefan is a great guy. His open behavior and kindliness is rarely seen this days. The rooms were clean and modern. Room service did the job great. Food is good and allways enough. Beach is not from the Hotel but is good and not crowded.

There was nothing i didnt like but there are things they could imrove. 1. WLan was working but the speed is slow....it did load most apps but the Download could get an upgrade. 2. Food is focused mostly on British people. You could allways get an full english at any time tho...In my opinion they should serve more greek cuisine. 3. I did expect that i will get a suite apartment with livingroom etc but instead received an 3 beds room. First i was disappointed but it wasnt such big of a deal later. So be more transparent online with the rooms you get when you book.

Very good

Small family hotel, friendly staff, close to the beautiful beach. We have booked quite spaceous apartment which was just by the pool. Rooms were always clean, bed was comfortable, wifi and A/C in our apartment worked well. There is a possibility to take COVID test in the hotel´s premises which is a great advantage these days. Guests were mainly from Poland, Czech Republic or Russia, mostly with kids. Entertainment was twice a week.

I would prefer more variety in food and especially fruit. It was a bit monotonous. There were 3 types of pasta every day, french fries, meat, potatoes. We would preffered more grilled food (meat, fish, vegetables), more seafood.

Great value for your expenses

Staff was very kind and friendly. The food was exceptionally delicious! Location of the hotel is right by the beach. Little shops/markets are around the corner. We can definitely recommend the Blue Aegean Hotel.

The amendments of the bathroom in the room we had could be renewed.

Wonderful hospitality and excellent meals.

We had the all inclusive option and the food was very excellent, a literal smorgasbord for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally the central pool area and bar were ideally situated and a great place to hang out and have a glass of wine.

The rooms have seen better times!

The staff was really friendly and the food OK. The pool is nice and suitable for kids.

The rooms are quite outdated and do not look as shiny and new as in the pictures. They are Ok, but not for the price we paid. We’ve been to similar rooms and paid half the price. The food has too many meat options and it’s hard to understand why eating outside is not allowed especially in times of COVID. Almost no guests were wearing masks at the buffet and due to the AC, windows and doors were often shut. This seems quite irresponsible.
