Do recommend!

Very nice welcome by the host. The cabin is located off the main road, on a very quiet little street. Besides the things you might expect from a fully equiped cabin, there's also a cosy patio, a private sauna with woodstove and cute but temperamental cat called Max. Awww. On the other side of the main road (3 minute walk) there are some well maintained and wheelchair accessible trails, a wild river with bridge, all excellent for an evening stroll.

Fully equipped, great location next to the hiking area, very nice and helpful guy at the reception. We spent overnight there and I recommend to other travelers as well.

Clean, comfortable and fully equiped. Love the wood fire sauna. Saw the aurora outside the cottage on the night we stayed here.

Need a new WC cover, instead of a quick fix. One cannot tell the problem unless you sit on it.

Perfect stay at Scandinavian Dream Cottages

We absolutely loved our stay at Scandinavian Dream Cottages Vikajärvi-Rovaniemi. The location was absolutely perfect for us. Close to Rovaniemi and the airport. Perfect location for wonderful hikes in the neighborhood. And a good location to explore more of Lapland with a rental car. The host was very friendly and thoughtful. The cottage was 100% perfect. Good heating. Perfect bathroom and equipped kitchen. I would recommend a stay at Scandinavian Dream Cottages to everybody.

Nice place! It is located close to the airport (around 20 km) near the Vikajärvi lake, very quiet area. The hosts are very friendly and very helpful. The room has everything you might need (including your own sauna and a mini-kitchen) and is very comfortable. The parking is free. My conclusion: It is a nice place to stay.

Amazing location in nature, with hiking/snowshoe and cross-country ski routes, well comunicated with Rovaniemi by bus and car, but also in a hidden and calm spot, and there is a grocery store nearby. Amazing prices for the accomodation that is given as well. I was just looking for a bed to sleep on and I found myself with my own private sauna!

Good communication and budget price but place needs some TLC

Good communication from owner. Cheapest price that night in Rovaniemi Quiet location.

Probably not ideal to visit in the dark, in freezing conditions in an unfamiliar hire car like I did Satnav says 15 mins from airport but felt much longer. Had to contact owner for final directions as Satnav takes you to end of road. IMO the place needs some TLC and a new kettle but for the price I guess this is expected. There is better similar priced accommodation in town in my opinion.

Add this to your list of places to stay near Romanieni Airport.

The owner messaged via booking.com and told us all the information..we were arriving very late around 22:30 and he accommodated us and said he would meet us at the lodge ... Which he did. He went through the facilities there and was jolly ,smiley and just super helpful. In the brief time we met him, it was clear to see that he was a wonderful host. The lodge itself was very clean , had the facilities we wanted and he had upgraded us to the lodge with a sauna. The area where the lodge was situated was absolutely stunning ,surrounded by woodland.

A lovely cottage close to nature and hiking trails

Very large cottage with very well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities available. Hiking routes nearby. Cottage was very clean and cosy. The host Dmitry was very friendly and went out of his way to ensure I had a good stay.

Really comfortable and cozy apartment/cabin with everything you need! Wooden sauna was a really nice touch. Nice surroundings and nature close by. The host was really friendly and communication was fast and easy. Great value for money! Definitely will book again!

Perfect place to stay near Santa Clause Village

We stayed in the cottage for 5 nights, Demetri met us and took us to the cottage, everything you need to stay there and more, was really cosy, clean and warm, forest out the back and a few mins down the lane was a beautiful nature walk, there you could light a fire and cook food, would definitely stay there again if ever coming back to Finland. 10 drive to santa clause village, so would definitely need a car, there was also a bus stop at the bottom of the lane.

Unfortunately I left with backpain.

There was no one at the reception when I arrived, so nobody to welcome me and properly show me where everything was and how things worked. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable, I got up in the morning with backpain unfortunately. If I could I'd want a refund.

Mind blowing customer service

Staff was really good. My friend forgot his bag and the guy brought it to train station in just few mins. That was simply awesome. Location was perfect. Almost everything was available in apartment.

Towels were inside the cabinets, may be better to keep in front. Kitchen tissues were missing or we didn't find it. Rest everything was good.

Best Value in Rovaniemi!

We've traveled to Rovaniemi in February 2022 and stayed for one night. The accommodation is amazing. The value one get's is incredible! it was clean, in the middle of the nature and the owner is super friendly. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the sauna wich is inside the House, but once we come back we will be more than happy to use it ☺️ thank you!
