About this house rental
Two story new construction with 2 car garage underneath. Four bedrooms, one on first floor with private bath and 3 upstairs with shared bath. Bay views, one large deck on each floor. Living area on each floor. Kitchen, dining room and powder room on first floor. Outside shower at back of house with large clothesline area and bar-b-que. Fully furnished, central AC and vacuum, washer, dryer, blender, toaster and iron .. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and both living rooms. Wireless internet. Detached garage is NOT part of the rental property. It is rented separately by a family for storage and you will occasionally see people accessing that garage.

The home is more gorgeous than the pictures depict. You can walk to the most gorgeous bay views at the end of the road and the decor and outdoor spaces were just stunning. The house was clean and everything worked well. We had an amazing time and we could’ve spent a much longer vacation there very happily.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights to attend a wedding at the Hotel LBI. The house was spacious and clean and the house rules clearly laid out/posted for guests; host was responsive when needed. Plenty of seating for relaxing and dining.
Since guests are instructed to bring their own towels, I would suggest also bringing an extra one or a mat for stepping out of the shower onto the tile floor to avoid the possibility of slipping…for safety 😉.

The property and location were amazing. The area in ship bottom was quiet and family friendly. You could walk or bike to the beach as well as breakfast spots, luch and dinner, mini golf, drinks and ice cream! We had great weather all week which made the stay even more enjoyable!

We were visiting the shore for a wedding. The condo was awesome. The location was perfect, the condo has plenty of room and is very inviting. We would stay again if we come back to NJ. Wally's for lunch is recommended.

The house was clean, in a great location, had plenty of space and there were tons of extras (beach equipment, etc.) that made our stay very enjoyable. Loved being able to walk to the beach!

A Beautiful House
This house almost fulfilled our needs. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us and the 8 and 6 year old loved the air hockey table and ping pong. The outdoor shower was a “hit” and the walk to the beach was doable. We had perfect weather which is always a plus. The only downside were the kitchen supplies. We do cook and with a 17 month old it was easier for us to eat in. There were plenty of dishes and mugs but not much glassware. The 2 frying pans caused everything to stick despite using plenty of butter and oil. There was no Tupperware to store leftovers so we purchased our own. There was only one cookie sheet and a 9x12 pan which made baking a challenge. I had read that the knives were not sharp and that was correct! The grill was not clean enough to use so we had to resort to the oven. All in all we had a wonderful time and managed to be creative with the lack of kitchenware. ThThank you, Jacklyn!

Wedding
We stayed at this property because we had a wedding at the LBI hotel. We were able to walk to the wedding and walk half a block to a gorgeous sunset every night as well as see the sunset from the beautiful decks at this home. Easy access to all around. Ping pong and air hockey a plus!

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Manor. The house and property were beautiful and had many great amenities (ping pong table, beach chairs & badges, private outdoor shower, washer/dryer, two lovely outdoor decks to name a few) and the location was perfect. We loved watching the sunset over the bay, and being able to walk to the beach!
The house was INCREDIBLY clean and tidy - virtually spotless, which we loved. We really appreciated that Lyn was so responsive and answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly. We would love to stay again in the future. :)

Couples in LBI for Wedding Weekend
We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Manor. The house and property were beautiful and had many great amenities (ping pong table, beach chairs & badges, private outdoor shower, washer/dryer, two lovely outdoor decks to name a few) and the location was perfect. We loved watching the sunset over the bay, and being able to walk to the beach!

Loved Our Stay
The property was clean and allowed our family to have plenty of space. We enjoyed spending time out on both decks which provided great views. It was half-a-block to the bay for viewing the sunsets and a short walk to the beach to enjoy the sand and waves. I definitely hope to return in the future. It was a great vacation home and Lyn responded very quickly to each of our questions!

Given that we chose an extended Memorial Day mini-vacation, a time of year when the weather is less than predictable, it was important for us to book a place where we thought we would be happy staying put if need be. As it turns out, it rained all but half of one day and we were there ... allowing us to bond with each other in this spacious house ... playing ping pong, air hockey, board games and watching movies when not doing other "rain-friendly" things like bowling. This was our first family vacation with all 3 generations and have decided to do it yearly since this one went so very well ... crossing our fingers we will get to enjoy the beach next time like we had all hoped this year.
The 2 living room areas really helped us spread out. The first day the kids and grandkids used the bikes to explore the area before the weather turned grey and wet. Pictures of the house on the website (as of March 2021) do not do it justice, so please make sure you watch the video to get a better sense of the layout. The owner is very friendly and helpful ... completing the package.

Really lovely, even better than the pictures
We had a really lovely stay here, we were pleasantly surprised that the house actually looked better than the pictures, which is not usually how these rentals work. Jaclyn was in touch but not intrusive, the location of the place was perfect, the balconies were wonderful, and it was extremely clean when we got there. We were also excited to find a ping pong table and an air hockey table in the basement, which were not in the pictures. Would definitely recommend.

We spent a week at this house in Ship Bottom, and it was a comfortable place for our family! The location was convenient because it was close to the bay, walking distance to the beach, and close to restaurants/activities. Lyn was super responsive and a pleasure to work with. Mermaid Manor is a gem!

Beautiful home!
This is a beautiful home! My two small children loved staying here. The location was perfect and the beach was only a 5 minute walk away. We will definitely be staying again! 😀

Our families had a great time at the house. Ping pong table was great for the kids. Kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was very clean. Great place for a get away!

The Perfect week
Our family had a wonderful stay at this home last week topped off with a perfect week of weather.
The owner was very accessible and easy to communicate with. The home is located in a very desirable location and has two very nice outdoor decks with plenty of seating and great views of the bay. Walking distance to Flamingo mini-golf and Woodies drive-in made this location that much better!
Everything you need in a rental home is provided including washer & dryer, beach chairs, a buggy to haul your items to the beach, several bicycles, outdoor grill and dining space along with a ping pong table and air hockey in the garage space. We were very pleased with our stay and will choose this home again if available for our next stay.

Ship Bottom, NJ Mermaid house - we had a wonderful time.
The house was very clean, a block from the bay, and a few blocks from the ocean. We had no negative issues. We have family who have a summer home there but couldn't put all of us up, so this was an excellent solution.

Great Memorial Day weekend stay
Myself and six friends enjoyed Mermaid Manor over Memorial Day weekend and had a very positive experience. The home was clean, modern, very spacious, and exactly as pictured in the listing (if not better). With seven total adults we had plenty of beds and bathrooms. The kitchen and open living room area were large enough for all of us to hang out together, and the two huge decks were a nice place to have morning coffee or get a quick reprieve from the sun. The kitchen included a coffee maker, toaster, and crock-pot, and was stocked with paper towels and trash bags. One minor item to note is a couple cooking essentials (such as salt) were not available and the dish soap bottle was nearly empty, but overall the kitchen supported our needs well.
We walked to the beach each day (about 10 minutes each way) and utilized the beach chairs provided with the home. We also walked to various restaurants and Wawa for a few essentials, so the home is very well located for all your needs.
The homeowner was great to work with, providing entry instructions the morning of our arrival so we could enter easily. She allowed us to enter the home a little bit early as we beat the worst of the MDW traffic and arrived sooner than expected. Additionally, we appreciate that she returned the deposit very quickly after our departure.

Clean, spacious home
We had an excellent stay at Mermaid Manor. Lyn's home was clean and well maintained. Lyn was a pleasure to work with and responded to our questions quickly. We (four couples) stayed here to attend a wedding and we were very comfortable. Linens and basic household goods were there upon our arrival, which was convenient and is hard to come by on LBI. We couldn't have asked for a better home. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Super clean and lovely!
The house was extremely clean and fresh. Great location and views. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was perfect. Basement has ping pong table. Only wish that Lyn could have controlled the weather with as much attention to detail as she set up the house :). Would love to come again!!

We had a great time in LBI. We enjoyed this home. Spacious, very clean, and the owners very nice. The only comment I would make note is the house does not have cable television. So we could not watch live programming or current events.
