Good location, friendly staff
Overpriced room , not what I expected. Small room, unable to open windows so uncomfortably warm during night

Nothing much. Good value for money

Local town hotel, such a change from the usual corporates. Right next to the town. The Swan had some atmosphere and so good to relax for a few days. Room was big enough, shower worked, bed was comfy. A little bit old fashioned perhaps but what would you expect in Hay! Afternoon and evenings was very warm so a drink in the garden was pretty near perfection.
Extractor fan in the bathroom rattled a bit. Might be time to replace it. Otherwise can't think of anything we did not like

Location. Friendly staff. Laundry services available. Parking available. Fair breakfast
Not impressed with breakfast
7.0
Breakfast was unadventurous, but well presented.
Vegan option at lunch could have done with side dishes of vegetables.

Breakfast was very good, dinner was good. Location was very good indeed.
Didn't serve Guinness!

Excellent location in this beautiful book town.
The meals a friend and I had were lovely.
Fluffy towels, decent parking, friendly staff, spacious room.
Nothing, just a bit pricy, but it's Hay on Eye :o)

they were very accommodating when I amended my booking last minute

Big room. Very relaxing in the sofa's and arm chairs in the bar areas. Lovely steak meal.
The large double bed had a 'mound' going right down the middle. So it was a bit like sleeping in two single beds.

close to the town and walks
everything seemed ok for us

Location
Deluxe rooms are very very small and dated. Not very clean. Part of finger nail found on bedside cabinet. Very poor attitude of manager. Not worth the money. There are far better hotels in hay for more reasonable prices.

Staff friendly and attentive. We had our pooch with us and she was very well looked after 😁. Nothing was to much trouble. Hotel comfy but tired. Puddings yummy.
Visited during a very cold w/e but Hotel too warm! Heating on full blast 24hrs ? The bill must be HUGE.Had to sleep with window fully open 🙁
Had one meal at hotel. Not that great. Not very warm, steak not very good quality for the price and steak & ale pie very disappointing.

great location . lovely staff
we stayed for an evening meal on Saturday night - the food wasn’t great . The tomato soup tasted like a cheap tin of plum tomatoes had been puréed . The fish and chips had been fried in slightly off cooking fat (it tasted old -as if reused from earlier , or it had gone rancid ) . The whole downstairs kitchen corridor smelled of nasty cooking fat all evening . It was a shame because we had a perfectly nice meal on the Friday night.

the building was stunning, our room was lovely, very clean, lovely atmosphere.
evidently they were on reduced staffing levels which I understand but there were delays trying to find service at the bar or reception at different times BUT the staff there were all lovely and worth the wait!

Nice room, good location
Poor service at breakfast - slow, had to sit at a dirty table that nobody cleaned, forgot parts of the meal.

The Swan is in a perfect location for exploring Hay on Wye. The staff were lovely and helpful and the room was well fitted and smart as well as comfortable. Parking on site was an added bonus

We got two rooms right next to each other, great for us (family of four). Perfect location and the staff were very helpful and kind. Big bathrooms, comfy beds and we loved the little window seats :)

Friendly staff. Lovely ambience. Very clean. Great breakfast.
If I had to be picky, just the lack of power from the shower
