Exceptional

Beautiful and unique apartment right in the centre of Hay, with lots of lovely shops and cafes within very close walking distance. The house is furnished to a very high standard, and is extremely comfortable. Huge comfy bed with lovely bed linen, and huge sitting room with comfy sofas and fire - it was lovely looking down from the sitting room and watching the world go by! Excellent shower and huge bath, and the kitchen is well equipped. Very good communication with the host, and check in and out were very easy. Highly recommended!

Lovely quirky, clean and comfortable accommodation, right in the heart of Hay on Wye, everything in walking distance. Excellent communication from owners.

Absolutely everything was PERFECT - couldn't have wished for more. Gorgeous apartment which was centrally located in a stunning town. Would highly recommend.

Overall a pleasant experience

Nice town. Pretty location. Comfy bed. Nice ambience in the flat. Quite well appointed.

Ironing board was small and wonky. The toilet almost in the bedroom was not nice. I expected a hanging chair because that was advertised in the photos but it was not there.

we had a lovely holiday , just a few blips in the apartment , but they need sorting as people like to watch t v ,

the location and bed

t v no signal ,went to watch wimbledon , and t v came on twice for 10 mins . needs up dating t v and free view box , .also need to take the egg chair off the description , as I was really looking forward to watching t v in the egg chair . also ,needs a safety mat in the bath itself as it was slippery . otherwise a great property

Superb

Gorgeous unusual property with original features and very comfortable in a fabulous location centre of town. Although central it was still very quiet and peaceful to stay there. It was well equipped in the kitchen with everything you could possibly want. Wonderful hot shower with pressure always a blessing with a bath if that is your preference. The pick up and drop of keys was easy and well explained. The host messaged with his details to me to ensure all was fine and to let him know if any issues he needed to deal with. Happily this was not the case.

The bathroom and kitchen were downstairs and this was only a little problem for me as I have mobility issues. However, because of the age and structure of the property it was very well designed as no other option but to do that. Of note there is small toilet attached to gorgeous master bedroom with holds a beautiful vintage king sized bed which is very comfortable.

A great location if you want to be in the centre of Hay .

Beautifully appointed apartment that the owners obviously care for and take a lot of pride in. The owner James was most helpful with his advice so that we could get the most out of our stay. Really appreciated the instructions for parking.

Had everything we needed for our stay. It was lovely and clean and comfortable beds and sofa was perfect place to read all the books I bought.

Absolute perfection. Beautifully designed and equipped, period, luxury apartment in the middle of Hay on Wye. Without fault. Had a glorious weekend and will visit again. Well done to the owners for such a stunning, extremely sympathetic treatment of a beautiful old building. I cannot recommend more highly!

A Hidden Gem

I really don’t want to tell you how wonderful this place is, otherwise everyone will want to go!! Seriously, The Pavement Palace is a wonderful , fab hidden gem of a place in the heart of Hay on Wye. The rooms are beautifully furnished with top quality products and it has everything you need! James, the host couldn’t be more accommodating, approachable and friendly. The location is in heart of town, everything is on your door step! A superb, beautiful apartment to match beautiful Hay on Wye !
