A perfect inn with very nice rooms. There is a bar and restaurant at establishment. There is a short walk by the river. There is also parking!
I liked everything

Location was good with nice views.
Basic accommodation for price charged. Food good but expensive. Soft mattress on bed so didn't have a good nights sleep.
2.5
Really good food, friendly staff and very dog friendly
Room walls were like paper so neither of us slept well due to noise all through the night from the next room. Room didn't have the 'view' it was advertised with and £25 is a bit much for a dog. Poor value for money overall. Be aware, a pint of Tenants is nearly double what you will pay elsewhere too.

It's a great place to stop for a night. Clean, comfortable, all of the amenities.

Beautiful location, great food and very comfortable room.
Mostly the staff were great particularly the charismatic manager who served us both nights. Did find the breakfast waitress slightly stand offish and not particularly helpful when we sought her advice about booking a taxi.

Beautiful building and a great location. Good restaurant and bar with friendly staff. Large, comfortable and clean room.

Loved the peaceful location, garden and forest walk just up the back of the hotel. Was perfect stay with our dog who loved the sausage she got for breakfast. Will definitely go back.

Hotel is in a beautiful spring. Room 215 was large with a really good ensuite shower and bath. Bed was fabulous- after so many awful ones as we've travelled around Scotland. Restaurant had meals at fair prices, we had the venison casserole-delicious. Very pretty location on a river with an outdoor garden. The lounge and bar has carefully selected furniture, lots of tartans give atmosphere. Everything is comfortable. Helpful ladies on reception.
All round it's a marvellous place to stay- wish we'd known earlier and booked more nights.

A really lovely traditional hotel, very warm and cozy. There is a games room where we enjoyed a game of pool. There is a real fire in the bar area and also a cosy lounge with library. Our room, 12, was spotless with fresh decor and a nice view over bridge and river. We booked dinner for first night of our stay. The dining room is well laid out and they have a separate dining room for guests who have their dogs staying with them. The dinner menu has plenty of variety and we thoroughly enjoyed the food served so we booked for our second night too without hesitation. The breakfast was also first class with plenty options. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, they really do go out their way to make their guests feel welcome, Straun, Gareth and team. We stayed here as we had planned some hillwalking from Glenshee Ski Centre and found this an ideal base. Also good for walking the Cateran Trail. Would definitely stay here again.
No negatives for us.

Super friendly staff, and good facilities. Great breakfast too.

Staff was very Nice!!!
The food was a bit overpriced considering the medium quality. And though the restaurant had space there was a waiting and reservation list that probably could be resolved by kitchen resources. Bring charged twice by drinks I didnt have was a bit unpleasant.
