Great location and the house was great

It is a lovely property. The only thing that let it down was the outside furniture was very tired and needs attention.

Lovely house, simple and perfect for us. Great location and great garden for our dog

Tired and well past its best. The bathroom in particular could do with a serious make over. We concur with previous users who passed comments on the drive - it is appallingly bad to being almost beyond use. Other previous comments note the shower - frankly it is unsafe for even the most able bodied. But for the elderly and those prone to falls it is perilous. A simple solution would be a good non-slip bathmat - and, of course a grab rail.. Another concern for the aged are the loose rugs that shift and rumple up creating potential trip hazard.
This was the first accommodation of its type we have stayed in that did not have electric blankets - end given how chilly the weather was they were needed.
In regard to heating why has the heat pump been "locked on" to a single lowish temp with no way of increasing same or boosting the flow. Very strange!
Also needed was some instructions on using the microwave - all these devices are different and without suitable use instructions they can be frustrating to use.
Overall we were very disappointed with the accommodation and believe it to have been way overpriced compared to recent holiday stays we have enjoyed in Tasmania. Sorry.

Our third time at Halcyon Days so that speaks for itself.
Fantastic views over looking George’s Bay and a lovely walk into St Helens in a relatively new path, we will be back.

I feel that the lack of condiments let the place down a bit .Other places we have stayed in always had milk in the fridge, a variety of teas to choose from and coffee sachets t choose from, not everyone enjoys plunger coffee.I realise these are trivial points but they do make for a better stay.ps the jug didn't seem to want to turn off automatically. The rear deck is a big bonus

The home offers a beach house vibe that is relaxed, homely, and so well-presented. My mother and I felt immediate excitement as we entered the home and knew we were going to enjoy our stay. And it certainly did not disappoint. It was clean and well-furnished with everything we needed and so much more. The view to the bay from the huge back deck was just the cherry on top!

Very clean with everything needed for a self contained stay. Quiet location, parking at door, great communication with host. Close to the bikeway/walkway along the bay and easy walk or drive to town

The house was perfect for us. A great size, neat and clean, and in a good location on a quiet street, but still within walking distance of the town. The house had everything we needed and really enjoyed our stay, but it would have been nice if the DVD player was available as advertised in the amenities list for the house - we had one day of rainy weather and took some DVDs along but couldn't watch them. We found other things to do so it wasn't a big deal, but perhaps update the property info to reflect this for future.
We would come back to stay again :-)

Dog Pawrents look no further!
Loved our stay at Halcyon Cottage. Everything was super clean, the beds were amazingly comfy, the view from the balcony was glorious, and the property had all we needed for our stay. However the best part for us was the fully fenced, completely secure yard for our furbabies.

Cute cottage escape
A cute cottage with lovely decor and just the right size for four adults on a weekend stay. Shower could do with an update, but everything else was perfect for us. Hubby is very particular about noise levels anywhere we stay, and the quiet location away from the main high street was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Halcyon Days with our fur babies. The house is very clean and decor is delightful. The enclosed yard and deck, along with a great sea view are fabulous. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for a home away from home experience. Highly recommend.

Lovely quiet place to relax and enjoy your holiday.
Halcyon Days made us feel at home the moment we opened the front door, light, bright and very welcoming. The decor was perfect for a holiday home by the ocean and breakfast on the deck is definitely something I enjoyed. I would stay again.

A comfortable nice place to stay
We were at Halcyon Days for four days in February 2019. It was a comfortable cottage, clean, quiet, and everything worked, which is rare in our experience! A bonus was that we were allowed to bring our doggie. We let him out in the ample backyard that had good fencing, so he could not get out. A heater in the bathroom and wifi are the only minor things that could be improved. We might want to stay here again in the future.

Great location, super comfortable & motivated owner/manager!
We had a really pleasant & comfortable stay. It was excellent to find a truly pet friendly place with proper fencing. The interior is well maintained & the coastal style very restfull. Love the deck area with that view to the bay! Matt, owner or manager, was very responsive to email and provided lots of info. We would love to stay again & I have already given the cottage details to a friend & her family who want a holiday with their dog.

Bright and fresh beach house
We have stayed at Halcyon Days every summer for the past three years. We love it! We are a family of four with a staffie and we all love the beach. The house has everything we need, it's comfortable and light, and has a great deck that overlooks a bush block with a view of the water. It also has a big fenced yard for the dog to run around. The perfect place to relax. It's also close to the beaches along St Helens Point and not too far from the Bay of Fires. We also love how close it is to St Helens shops and restaurants. Good for take-aways and a night or two out at great restaurants on the waterfront. There's excellent coffee too from the hole in the wall on the main street! A perfect place for a relaxing summer holiday!

Light, airy and spacious!
We loved staying at Halcyon Days. Over the past few weeks we have stayed in a lot of accommodation and this was by far our favourite. For a couple with a small toddler it was the perfect space and would be great for couples or families with two children. It was bright, airy with a great beach feel, clean and had everything you could want including a great deck and yard! The rooms do let a lot of light in, so beware of that, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day with our dog in tow :-)
