Very central to village. Great set up for cooling on hot days.

The location of the accommodation was exceptional. It was easy to get around Russell. The rooms were big and airy with ceiling fans and air conditioning if required. As a family we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We loved it so much, we have already booked again.
The accommodation needs a deep clean and it was not the cleanest on arrival. The top of the oven was dirty and there was hair on the toilet seat. The couches and rugs need a deep wash. Ceiling fans are noisy. There was also a very unpleasant smell that came into the main bathroom from the compost.

Fabulous apartment in central location. Extremely helpful and friendly management.

Excellent location, smack bang in the middle of Russell. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to make your own meals. Baden, the owner, is a very nice man with a big smile and was there to greet us.

The place was in a prime location for the event we attended, it was clean and spacious with some old school charm, great use of existing room features. The bed was comfortable and it had a very easy, laid back feel, had outside seating areas on both sides of the room which meant you could capture all day sun, host was friendly and welcoming. We were concerned about the tavern being right next door, however we did not have any noise issues at all during our stay

It was close to the village within east walking distance to all amenities. A lovely place to stay in and our host was awesome

Great location, room and host.
No complaints
2.5
Perfect Location. Clean , good bed and bathroom.
There was so much furniture stuffed into the room we could barely move around. An enormous family size fridge in a studio seemed unnecessary.

Our whole experience from check in to check out was excellent. Room standard was high. Staff member was cheerful and helpful.
The outdoor chairs were beginning to rust.

We are so glad we chose to stay in Russell rather than Paiha and chose Seaport Village. Seaport Village is very comfortable and very central with good facilities. We had a car but it is only a stone's throw from the jetty so we hardly used the car whilst there. So easy for the boat. Russel is lovely, very small but with a very interesting history. We wish we had stayed longer so we could explore the old town more.
This was one of the most expensive places we stayed on our New Zealand trip but we think that is because it is the Bay of Islands and such a good location. It was good value compared with other places in the Bay of Islands.
4.5
the venue was nice and quiet and away from the busy nature of the Duke where we normally stay. Will definitely stay again.
No Sky TV.

Accommodation, location, facilities were all excellent and suited our needs for our 4 night stay. All staff were very friendly and helpful and laid back. Nothing was too much trouble.
4.0
the location is fantastic, it couldn’t be any more central. The room itself was very cosy and comfortable. would absolutely stay here again.
I paid extra to have a room with a sea view. When we asked the person at reception we were told that there is no sea view and it’s just something that booking.com add on the description os the room.
I felt this was misleading and if a sea view is stated, then that’s what you should expect to receive.

Perfect location, just a short walk from the ferry. The owner Baden, & staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Baden even kindly washed & bleached my fishing shirt for me to a cleaner white than its ever been! A home away from home. With easy access to a 'hell hole' coffee (a short 1 minute walk away) to help start the day I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
4.5
Excellent location, suitable room and very clean.
There was a cockroach in the information book and a weird smell in the draws. I hung out the blanket and wiped the draws down, but there was a lingering smell, not musty or unclean.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The beautifully appointed rooms with heritage ambiance, the comfotable beds, roomy bathroom and really clean. Staff are super friendly.
Couldn't fault anything at all.
