Exceptional

The cottage was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. I loved sitting in the garden early in the evening under the pergola, excellent location, and easy access to all local attractions. Highly recommend staying 👌

The fridge is a bit small, nit picking now

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location

Zoo cottage was everything and more than we expected. The house was beautiful and all recently renovated to a high standard. It was much bigger than we expected too. The proprietor was very attentive and checked in to ensure we had everything we required and was also on hand when needed.

Great property to stay at - exceptionally clean and well appointed. Very bling.

Great position for our needs. Nice seating area in the garden. Everything very clean and well stocked. Very solicitous host.

Bed bottom sheets weren't deep enough so kept coming off overnight. Blind in the kitchen didn't work. Too much bling.

A great location , a lovely host and close to the Zoo, Chester, & Cheshire oaks. Perfect for family

We travelled with our 2 year old . Chris the host was great . He checked in with us to check everything was ok. As we stayed for 2 nights , we also received a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. Staying in the cottage was so much easier than a hotel with a 2 year old as there was plenty of space including a lovely garden area. The zoo was actually within walking distance or just a couple minutes drive in the car . Chester anc Cheshire oaks were both just 10 minutes drive away. We have recommended Zoo cottage to our friends with little ones who are interested in traveling down to Chester . We would highly recommend Zoo cottage and will definitely stay again .

Exceptional

The property was spotless. It was lovely and warm when we arrived after a day in the rain! The instructions from the host were easy to follow. Beds were comfy, the property was spacious, the garden area was idyllic despite the weather, the kitchen well equipped, and you can't help but feel at home. We loved the bathroom. We don't get to go away often, so when we do, we always hope a getaway will be as close to perfect as possible. And this was. Thank you!

There was literally nothing that we didn't like.

Family night away

Zoo Cottage was a beautiful place to stay. Not far from Chester Zoo and perfect for our family of 4 with 2 children. The house was incredibly clean and cozy. Great facilities including a baby gate and high chair which was a great addition for us with a little one that has just started walking. Chris, the owner, was really helpful and easy to contact should we have needed too. We would definitely recommend to friends and family hope to return ourselves.

The house was the right amount of space for 3 of us (adults) and the garden looks amazing should we have stayed in the morning warmer months.

There isn't much not to like. Would say that if you have a family with children the fridge may be slightly tight on space.

Had an wonderful christmas spent in zoo cottage and definitely stay again

The location was perfect for the zoo and within walking distance which is why we chose zoo cottage to spend some time together for christmas. The place was beautifully decorated for christmas ,including a tree,and well presented along with chocolates. Chris couldn't do enough for us.

Nothing really to complain about , maybe a bit more of a freezer might have been handy for some of the food ,especially as in summertime peeps may feel the need for ice cream.

Perfect Stay

Zoo Cottage was a very nice and comfortable place to stay, situated in a quiet close in a great location near to Chester. Loved the decor including the Christmas tree and decs! Shame it wasn’t warmer and we could sit in the lovely garden. The owner was very attentive during our stay. Would certainly recommend and stay again. Thanks Chris :)

Lovely home from home

A home from home , spacious property with a lovely feel to it. Christmas decorations were a lovely surprise too. Host was very helpful always checking in that all was okay with our stay. Definitely will stay again, especially in the summer as the garden facilities look fab. Thankyou Chris

Comfortable and relaxing.

The location was very near to many of the places to visit in Chester. The house was very comfortable - home from home and in a quiet area with everything you might need for your stay. My husband and I had a lovely, relaxed break.

I honestly can't think of anything that would of improved our stay.

Would recommend, especially if you are a family and want more space than a hotel would give you.

Suited us as a family because of the space. Everything was clean and warm. Welcome bottle of prosecco was much appreciated.

I found the key lock safe difficult but then I do have arthritic hands so it could just be me! More hanging hooks in bathroom would be good.

Really Good

Zoo Cottage is in a great location we drove to the train station to get the train to Liverpool. Just across the main road is shop which you could get most things and a bakery was inside as well. Chis was very easy to deal with throughout the booking process and giving us instructions on how to enter the property etc. The house had everything we needed including a nice outdoor area where we could sit on a nice day. Beds were comfortable and the area was quiet, the bathroom was good with a powerful shower and a toilet, plus there is a toilet downstairs which was really handy.

There was nothing we didn't like about this property.

Excellent accommodation and Chris was a fantastic host

It was ideally situated for our planned visit to Chester Zoo. We were able to shop locally and we had a really good meal at the Indian restaurant across the road. Excellent accommodation for our short stay.

The weather on Monday when we visited the Zoo meant a number of animals were kept in.☹️

Exceptional

A lovely house, home from home. Was really impressed by the spacious bedrooms. Our host Chris was at hand if needed and quickly responded to any questions that we had. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to sit outside after out days outings, so we were unable to enjoy the lovely private decking area. Well situated for access to the Blue Aquarium, Cheshire Oaks Shopping, Chester Zoo and Chester City. Would definitely recommend.

Was located perfectly for what we needed. We have an annual trip to Chester zoo every year. Chris was brilliant at staying in contact and we felt very comfortable there. Will definitely be booking again

really close to everything we wanted to visit - nice quiet location

the heating was on a timer that we were told not to touch, which meant we were far too hot the whole time we were there.
