If Carlsberg did hotels…..

We made a last minute change of hotel to here for the last 2 nights of our trip to India and we are SO glad that we did. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, it doesn’t look anything special from the outside but once inside it is a stunning, luxurious place to stay. Our room was lovely with a view across the city to the president’s residence, and it had the best hotel shower ever! All the bars and restaurants are decorated with great taste and elegance. We really enjoyed breakfast and had an amazing meal at the House of Ming. The gym is excellent and the pool and gardens are a lovely oasis in the centre of Delhi. I used the spa and had the best massage and facial I think I have ever had, Mary my therapist was amazing. Location is good for Khan market and others New Delhi sight seeing like India gate and it is about 40 minutes drive to the airport (dependent on traffic). We really loved our short stay here and couldn’t recommend it enough.

Quizá la situación, aunque tranquila y segura, si bien es cierto que Delhí tiene una extensión enorme.

Overall a very pleasant experience. Shall certainly repeat

The breakfast on the 8th floor was very nice. The staff was friendly and warm. The best was Mr Dubal, the duty manager who checked us in. The perfect host, solicitous and courteous in the best Tata tradition.

The food at the Machan and even room service. Needs to be better

Great location, Wonderful and helpful staff

The hotel exceeded my expectations from the first moment of arrival with great service and explanation about the hotel facilities, the Taj Club, which will be a reason for me to come back and the location of the hotel in the heart of Delhi. The Gym has an instructor for most of the hours during the day, which was a great addition, and the team went above and beyond to make my stay even better.

On my last morning, I went to the Taj Club for breakfast at 7 am sharp, as I had a flight to catch. For some reason, it seems they weren't fully prepared for people to arrive that early. I would expect that when breakfast starts at 7 am, it will be ready to serve on time.

our week at the Taj

We would like to give hearty high praise to the room service of Mr. Ganeshyam who took excellent care of our room, with minute attention to details, care and cleanliness. We were also very happy with the upgrade we got on the room, which was beautiful. However there were two downsides that we think the hotel should take into consideration (below).

1) The breakfast - it was an "a la carte" system that simply didn't work. The service was slow, inefficient, unorderly. It felt like the whole scene wasn't managed properly - loads of waiters who didn't know what to do. We kept wondering why they changed the previous excellent buffet system, and it was challenging even to get salt... 2) Even though we stayed in a beautiful spacious room, there was constant irritating noise of dragging that came from the inner lift services of the hotel and the noise travelled in a way that highly disturbed our stay in the room throughout the day. The hotel tried to resolve the problem with no success.

Taj Mahal at #1 Maan Singh

Loved the decor, the staff behaviour, the rooms setup as well as available amenities - everything was great! Included dinner was great - options as well as taste wise.

Breakfast spread wasn't as great as expected. The service overall for all meals was just too slow. Even though we reached at 4pm, the rooms weren't ready still.

Excellant Hotel with a few blemish!!

The hotel is at an excellent location with greenery all around. People of the hotel are excellent and very responsive. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. The bathrooms are also very adequate.

The hotel however suffers a few shortcomings. No one other than guest relations and in room dinning pick up the phone. So, if you want to book a table at the Ming that’s not possible because they just don’t pick up the phone. Frustrated one day I walked into Ming, the Asian restaurant, but was curtly told that they are sold out. The restaurant Manager of Ming who was sitting there, refused to speak to us which was very strange in hospitality industry and specially in Taj group. The food at Ming was average and the breakfast at Machan was quite listless.

Fantastic!!

Very nice hotel with good house keeping as well as massage therapist was very nice! My children enjoyed cupcake time with other kids!

An exceptional hotel with amazing staff.and facilities

This hotel is incredible - the best I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing, the whole hotel smelled like flowers, the rooms were cleaned perfected every day, a man came around in the evening offering tea and more fruit and towels. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite. The room was huge and so beautiful. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond at all times. The lovely man Darmus who worked in the pool area made sure all day that we were comfortable, had enough water and towels, and was just so friendly. We enjoyed our day at the spa. Priya was an excellent masseuse. The jacuzzi area was so relaxing. The breakfast was very extensive and had every option. The staff in the Italian restaurant were lovely and the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great but not good for dining

Breakfast was amazing.

Dinner at both the restaurants was not good at all and worse still the prices were extortionate. I would not be charged those prices in Mayfair London, so how they are able to charge so much???

Modern and Comfortable

This was a modern large property. Our upgraded room was comfortable and spacious, but not particularly charming. The bathroom facilities were excellent. The hotel design was a bit dated albeit in very good condition.

The prices in the main restaurant were very high. The breakfast buffet could benefit from better bread, cheese and cold cuts choices.

Lujoso y a la vez cálido y local.

Un hotel de lujo y super local, hermosa experiencia. El sauna, jacuzzi y la piscina climatizada una bendición para relajar de un día agitado Estabamos en un sector del hotel que incluyen una sala exclisiva. Muy recomendable!

Los restaurantes tienen un costo altísimo comparado con otros hoteles, pero hay excelentes opciones en los alrededores.

Exceptional in every detail

This is an exceptional property, in every detail. The room was super-comfortable with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this grade, and a great bathroom. But it's the staff who make the Taj. They are all brilliant. Thank you for a memorable stay. I will be back!

Nearly perfect

Service and professionalism way above what you normally get in Indiam 5 star hotels.

We once made a reservation for a breakfast box as we had to leave for a tour before breakfast time. They had confirmed the breakfast to go but on the day of the tour it was unfortunately not prepared. They quickly tried to fix it but the replacement breakfast was not matching what we were used from regular breakfast buffet.

Top 5* Hotel mit 4* Service

Modern, luxuriös und freundliches Personal.

Angebotener und inbegriffener Abholservice, aber letztendlich keine Abholung vom Flughafen. Kommunikation bzw. Erreichbarkeit über Booking.com schlecht. Im Hotel angekommen gab es eine schlechte Ausrede vom Duty Manager warum der Abholservice nicht vor Ort war. Mangelhaft. Besser wäre das Eingestehen und damit eine deutlichere Entschuldigung. Deshalb gibt es insgesamt nur 4* Sterne, da sonst das Personal und Freundlichkeit top ist. Bei der persönlichen Wertschätzung ist noch Potenzial. Da sind andere 5* Hotels besser. Generell ist der Abholservice deutlich überteuert, über 5mal so viel als wenn am Flughafen ein Taxi am Schalter bestelltx.

A VERY GOOD CENTRALLY LOCATED 5* PROPERTY IN LEUTYNS DELHI

Nice and clean rooms, the club rooms were bigger and more spacious, however we found the bathrooms to be bit small as compared to the room size. Nice breakfast, though no buffet, but we could order from the menu, and they made sure we got whatever we ordered out of the menu. Very good and efficient staff at the Chinese restaurant and at the Club level breakfast area, helpful and polite.

A sweet bitter experience, like a poorly made negroni, where you added too much bitter.

Well, it is a mixed feeling with this time in TAJ. Maybe I had high expectations. property did good in some areas and was disappointed in other areas. Check-in was smooth as butter. Though the room floor has rust marks on it. on multiple areas. Did not expect that though. That was a premium room, supposedly. Bathroom worked flawlessly, room service was very slow. The cake was delayed by 3.5 hours. Rest everything was on time. Bar serves really good cocktails. but the music is so loud at some times, that it feels more like a club than a bar. and drinks cost 14 USD/1300 a drink which is okay. But music is deal breaker if you are trying to unwind after a really tiring day. In terms of Service and room quality i would rate them 8/10.

Food disappointed me completely in both restaurants called Machan, and House of Ming, where I had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was okay, served on the table, eat all you can. out of the south Indian trail, only Idli was done right, rest everything was not up to mark. Chole Bhature on the other hand was a horrid tale of whatever can go wrong, went wrong. Could not eat it. If you are reading this, I would suggest juices, they did not mess that up. In the House of Ming: Stay away from Hakka noodles. In terms of taste, it felt like stale noodles with stir-fried veggies. Dumplings though was really good. So it's more like a mixed pot of hits and misses. Would not hold it against property. That was my experience. If you are reading this and booking taj, I would say all the best.

Wunderschönes Hotel

Das Hotel ist wundervoll. Besonders gut war das Fruehstueck im 8. Stock. Der Chef Vinett hat uns jeden Tag mehrere indische Fruehstueckoptionen an den Tisch gebracht und Sweta hat sich sehr liebevoll um uns gekuemmert.

In unserem Zimmer war es ab 6:30 laut von oben da ueber unserem Zimmer die Kueche f den 8. Stock war. Es war glaube ich Nr. 727. Besser ein anderes verlangen.

Everything! The wine cellar is simply an awesome addition to the hotel. Wow! What an absolute delight. Loved it. The spa, sauna, steam and jacuzzi were amazing. Also the pool and facilities. Perfect. The staff were wonderfully polite, relaxed and helpful. Special mention to Sweta Singh and Ujjawal Bajaj who were super helpful when I had to leave early on my last day. Thank you so much.
