The house was perfect for our group. It was clean and is walking distance to the French Quarter and French Market. Communication with Kent was great and he was very nice. The only downside is that it is very close to clubs on Frenchman Street and the music from the clubs is very loud until the clubs close.

We had an awesome time at this lovely home. We enjoyed the more authentic look and decor and updated bathrooms. Very comfortable for the 6 of us and the beds were comfortable. Only issue was lack of towels. 6 of us and only 5 towels. The home is definitely on a vibrant corner. We enjoyed people watching and going to the close restaurants. We were staying up late playing games and catching up with old friends so the atmosphere was fun. If you bring a vehicle parking could be difficult. We did text the owner once for an issue with no response. We were able to resolve it, but that makes you nervous if we couldn’t have fixed it ourselves. Over all, very fun getaway.

Everything was as described & we loved the authenticity, but didn’t realize how loud it was residing across the street from all the clubs on Frenchman’s Street. Hard to sleep before 2 am.
Host checked in on us during our stay, but not responsive when needing questions answered & didn’t give me our check in info until a few hours before our flight left.
House was clean & great walking within the French Quarter.

A sister trip to New Orleans for my 65th birthday was a total blast! The food, the music, the hospitality- none disappointed. Our host was very responsive any time we had a question. The house location was in the middle of everything; so walking distance to so many key locations.

Our stay was awesome. Super easy overall. Only negative comment which isnt really a big deal was the lack of towels and wash clothes available. We had to do laundry almost daily. Also parking could get dicey. Other than that, awesome.

This property has serious safety issues. Upon entering first person tripped over plywood covering a hole in the entrance. It was covered by a rug! Spent the next 7 hrs in emergency room. Banister in stairs is barely attached. Long concrete steps out back door are not attached to the house and have no railing. The house needs some care and maintenence. Molding hanging from ceiling, missing lamp shades, broken chandelier, many missing tiles in bathroom. The quality of cleaning needs improvement. However the location was fantastic

Overall impression was very good. Noisy at night but great location, close to everything we wanted. Loved the balcony. Ubers were plentiful when needed.

We had a great stay! Kent was very accommodating. Charming historic New Orleans house. Loved the balcony overlooking Frenchmen street. Highly recommend if you want to be in the heart of it all.

House is very large and well-kept. Location is phenomenal. The neighborhood has great restaurants and jazz bars. Bourbon Street ~25 min walk. My friends and I had a wonderful time, and it was amazing to be able to walk to everything, especially during Mardi Gras season when cars cannot pass through many streets because of the pedestrians.

Roomy, comfortable house near Frenchman. Responsive host. Check in was easy. Be aware that music from clubs can be loud. We were able to watch the parades from the balcony.

Great Space for friends or family visits. Bedrooms are all large and 2.5 baths is luxurious. Large kitchen as well, wish we planned to cook more.

Location location location! We had the best time ever at Kent's house. Everything you need for a New Orleans stay. One of the most accommodating hosts I've ever had! We will be back.

Lets start with Ken, he was amazing, he was super helpful and went above and beyond for us.
As all the reviews say, this house is in the heart of Frenchman street. There is an abundance of live music outside your door.
The property is just like in the pictures and was perfect for our group of 7.
We liked being close to walk everywhere, 15 min walk pretty much anywhere.
We would stay here again for sure.

This property was fabulous! Great location and walking distance to the quarter, and the music and night life of Frenchman Street right outside. The house and location were even better than we anticipated! We will absolutely keep this place in mind for future visits!

It’s in a perfect location, we never had to drive once! Best part of town and the rooms were clean and big beds. Will stay again!

Be prepared to stay up late and sleep in to enjoy this spot as the locals! Great food in the neighborhood and within walking distance to the tourist area of the French Quarter. The house is spacious and there’s plenty of room to hang out as a family. Great host!

The location was a prime location. It is in the heart of Frenchman St. As other reviews stated, it does get very loud on Friday and Saturday. However, that is expected with such a prime location.
Kent was great to work with. We had some changes in our plans, but fortunately things worked out with availability, and Kent was extremely accommodating. I have stayed at other spots in the Quarter, but if you love music outside of the Bourbon St cover bands, then this is your spot. I'm looking forward to future visits to this home when cooler temperatures arrive!

My group and I very much enjoyed our stay at this property. Kent was kind enough to let us check in early because the house was ready. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved having the outside patio area for late night hangouts. This property was very spacious and was in a great location with just a short walk to the French Quarter. The music playing from the nearby bars was noticeable to me but did not keep me from falling asleep, even in the front-facing bedroom. The morning noise of nearby trucks and construction was actually more bothersome to me but was not enough to impact the overall quality of our stay. I would definitely stay at Kent's place again and would recommend it to anyone who can appreciate an authentic New Orleans-style home and being close to the action.

Convenience and fun in a perfect location. It is walking distance for all the music and eats you can ask for. Perfect for our group of six, with plenty of space. Listening to the local bands, while sitting out on the balcony, was a favorite for everyone. We will definitely be back.

Perfect place to stay for a group of friends! Experience nightlife and parades from the upper balcony, surrounded by bars, music, and good food. Neighborhood is loud but great to be in the center of a party! Location is unbeatable right on Frenchman St, short and easy walk into the French quarter. Beautiful historic home, easy check-in/out process with great communication from the host. Highly recommend!

Really cool historic home with lots of space for our group of 8. Great location! We were able to walk all around the French Quarter. It does get loud at night, but we expected that. Kent was very nice, available for questions, and let us check-in early because the house was ready. There were some initial questions with the AC and security system but everything went smoothly. Some parts of the house are showing their age, but overall the rooms and bathrooms were very nice. I'd stay here again!

The house was lovely, and so close to so many great things. It was definitely loud sometimes at night with the club across the street, but that's to be expected. The hosts were great, and came by asap when we requested more sheets and towels, and even made us another key! The house its self had a few small improvements needed (like a lack of closet rods for some reason), but overall the vibe and comfort of the place was great. I took 7 people who had never even visited NOLA to Mardi Gras and everyone had a blast; and I feel that staying here was a big part of it! Thanks :)

This house is beautiful. So comfortable even with 6 adults staying here. Great location. Can be a little bit loud. But that is to be expected located right off Frenchman St. We could enjoy the music and people watching from the balcony. Highly recommend!!

Plenty of room for 8 people! Location and space made us choose this rental, and we’re happy we did! Beds were comfortable, balcony overlooking Frenchman St with live music was a huge perk! Could use some furniture upgrades but overall a nice home.

This house is perfect location to so many restaurants, bars, shops. Everything you need in walking distance. It is right across the street from a dance club, so if loud music isn’t your thing, you may want a different house. We had 7 adults that comfortably stayed. The house is beautiful and roomy.

We had a wonderful time at this house! It’s so spacious and walking distance to everything. It definitely is a party house and gets loud outside at night but that’s half the fun! The people watching from the upstairs balcony could keep you entertained for hours. I would definitely stay here again when traveling to Nola!

This place was awesome for the group that I was with. The facilities had a great kitchen, private bathrooms, plenty of bedrooms, and places to relax. Would definitely stay again!

Loved the location. Sitting on the balcony listening to music in the evenings was the best! Home was clean and comfortable. Bedrooms are roomy. Great food within steps. We used 'hop on hop off' so we never had to drive.

The property was just as described. It’s an older house so it makes all the old house sounds. The couch in the tv room is actually a foldout which was a great surprise. I don’t remember that being in the description, but I may have missed it. This house was great for an all adult birthday where we wanted to bar hop and be close to everything. If you are there for peace and quiet, this isn’t your house. The beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows. The only thing I found odd about the house was the front door locking situation. Wasn’t a deal breaker by any means. You’ll see if a group of people rent it and not everyone is going out lol. There were plenty of towels and we didn’t run out of hot water (there was 9 of us). The Trash never got picked up when we were there from the people before so our trash cans were full the whole time, but I’m not sure what day trash day is. Definitely lots of things to do within walking distance. We went everywhere on foot including Jackson square, the Market, Bourbon, French qtr, Decatur st, and the Garden district. We used Turo to rent a vehicle for a few hours to go on a swamp tour which worked great. Everything else was walking distance. This house was great for our group size and like I said if you are looking for peace and quiet this isn’t your house which we weren’t lol. I would definitely stay here again if I was looking for the same experience I had. The host always got back to me promptly. I couldn’t find check out instructions, but messaged Kent and he got back to me quickly. Only requirement was to take all the trash out. Also we did request late checkout and not sure if that wasn’t relayed to the cleaning ladies, but they showed up an hour before checkout time which was kind of uncomfortable for my guests that were still there. So if you’re looking for a late checkout maybe inquire to Kent to make sure the cleaning ladies don’t come early. Thank you Kent for the awesome rental and hopefully we will be able to rent from you again!!!

We had a great time staying at this house for my friends Bachelor Party for the weekend. Excellent location within walking distance to anything in downtown Nola. Be aware that It is a very busy area, and you will likely have noise at night, but if you’re booking in downtown I would expect that anywhere. The hosts were very accommodating and were helpful with anything we needed. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend booking this location!

Such a perfect location in NOLA. Easy check-in process, clean and spacious house, fantastic location, very walkable and easy to get around. Will definitely book again!

Music, music and more music!
If you're coming for the music this is a great location for the music clubs on Frenchmen street. However, be advised there is a club across the street from this listing that is open until 2AM on Friday and Sat which is quite loud. Ear plug penetrating loud. However, we would still return to this listing in spite of that. There's a fantastic bakery (red bean turnovers, muffuletta bread sticks, parmesan and herb scones...) two blocks away, the jazz museum and an LP store is 3&4 blocks away, several tasty restaurants and of course amazing music right around the corner. We walked everyday to the French Quarter for other touristy activities, but always returned early afternoon to take in the music from 2pm on.
The house itself, inside, was clean and comfortable. The wall damage mentioned in a previous review still needs to be repaired and there is a window pane in the front door that needs to be replaced. Neither of these items took away from the enjoyment we experienced. We hope to stay here again if we return to New Orleans.

Fun NOLA getaway
The house was charming and spacious for our ladies group of 5. The location is great for exploring the French quarter and the Marigny neighborhood. You can walk every where. It is not a quiet neighborhood if that is what you seek. We enjoyed being steps from lots of good live music offered in various clubs and good restaurants.

Perfect for Frenchmen St. jazz!
If you’re a fan of live music, skip the overhyped and overly commercial Bourbon Street and check out this gem literally steps from the Frenchmen Street clubs. It can still get loud at night but that’s why you’re looking in this area, right? :) The house is a bit older but very clean with all of the amenities, including four bedrooms for larger groups and a balcony for people watching. Two sitting rooms boast comfy couches and the A/C is welcome after a day walking through the French Quarter. Don’t bother with a rental car - parking is scarce and the Quarter is just one square mile, two blocks away. Instead invest in a wide-brimmed hat, comfy shoes, and some sunscreen!
The owner is amazing to work with. We had to reschedule this trip three times due to the pandemic and even a hurricane (!) but all of our concerns were resolved quickly and professionally. We even got some great restaurant advice! Easily the most flexible and accommodating owner we’ve ever met, and that’s saying something. We look forward to future bookings!

Frenchman Street
If you are here to go to Frenchman Street and hear live music, this is a great place. I see some other people reviewing were not there for that and that may not be a great fit but for the 4 of us guys just wanting to hear great music and eat and drink well, it was perfect. All bedrooms were large and two living areas. Marigny and Bywater have some great places for food and drinks so you can enjoy NOLA without ever going to the French Quarter. Brieux Carre, right down the street, and Parleaux Beer Lab, in Bywater, were both great breweries. Too many great clubs within 2 blocks to list. We went to a different one, or three, every night.
