Hotelli oli ihan rannan vieressä ja helpon kävelyn päässä kaikesta. Ranta oli upea. Aamupalalta avautui ihana näkymä rantaan. Hedelmät aamupalalla todella hyviä.

Emme saaneet bookingin kautta varaamaamme huonetta. Hinta oli korkea verrattuna huoneen laatuun kun thaimaasta kyse. Aamupala oli melko yksitoikkoinen. Tai jos tykkää kanasta ja riisistä niin täydellinen.

Beautiful resort in a great location

Grandview resort is located in a very beautiful place. The outdoor area is really well-mainteined and the beach was literally just few steps from the entrance of our cottage. The live music was so good and the atmosphere in the evening was magic. Breakfast was good and served in a beautiful shared area. Overall a good choice for our stay in Koh Samet.

The cottage was a bit smaller then expected and difficult to refresh with air conditioning. The first hour was extremely hot.

Very good

Overall an good place. Friendly and helpful staff, the breakfast was enjoyable. The bed was good. The food in the restaurant and the evening fireshow was enjoyable. Good ⛱️ to.

The cocktail, I did only try one drink. Perhaps it's my fault for trying something new and different, instead of going for a more regular type of cocktail. For me It was undrinkable, and It put me off to try other cocktails.

Unforgettable!

Excellent location right at a beautiful white-sand beach, and if you choose to get the expensive ocean view room, apparently you get a huge balcony where you can have a bath and take a shower in open air

Little caveat: check-out time is before 11:30 a.m. and not before 23:30 like it says on booking.com We had hotel staff wake us up and we had to pay a ฿1000 fine, but that’s not the hotel’s responsibility

The location is super good.

This hotel does not live up to typical Thai friendliness and hospitality. Otherwise, a beautiful location, but the experience is ruined by rude, ignorant, and incompetent staff. Some examples: hotel sent pre-information regarding the shuttle boat service. We tried to follow the instructions and then called the hotel from the pier, only to find out that the information was incorrect. No apologies, no help provided, just blaming “automated message”. The beach restaurant is seriously under-staffed and incompetent. Wrong drinks, forgotten orders, up to 1.5 hrs waiting time for meals. At the breakfast the chief chef’s behavior was shockingly bad. The hotel would have more potential, but the staff ruins the experience. I would recommend avoiding, you will get better value for your money elsewhere in the island, where the staff really cares about its customers.

Bad design of rooms and expensive

Staff tried hard to fix issues such as airconditioning that did not work and no hot water. They also gave us a 500 baht voucher as compensation. They did fix these issues quickly. Location is excellent and the bean bags on the beach are nice

We did not like the bad design of the grand deluxe suite and the other rooms in the new building. The front door and toilet/indoor shower is on the lower level (we booked 2 different room types both the same) every time you need to use the toilet you must go down a LOT of stairs then back up. Same to enter or leave the rooms. It is unsafe to negotiate these stairs in the dark but turning on the lights shines very bright into the bedroom waking anyone else in bed. This is a VERY bad design and super annoying at night trying to use a torch or phone to get to the toilet without falling on the stairs. The restaurant plays loud live music every night although the helpful staff did turn the volume down a bit when we complained. We paid over 6000 baht a night for this room because we have a young child and needed the space but it's not worth it. The outdoor shower never had hot water and is exposed to others watching you shower or use the bath so this area that looks good in photos is not useful.

Exceptional

Great set up right on the beautiful beach with easy access. We stayed with my mom who has dementia and the staff was so good to her. The food here was fantastic and they had the best beach hang spot and fire show. Definitely will stay here again!

Our room was in a building right next to the town road and some construction and it was super noisy in the early morning. If you're a morning person, no problem. If not, consider a room further from the street!

Great location in the middle of the main beach on Samed.

The room was clean, a great balcony and comfortable beds. Wide Asian breakfast selection. Nice entertainment on the beach by Thai singer.

It would have been good to know that it was a walk-up and that the bathroom was separated from the bedroom.

Fine for a short stay

The hotel has a great location right on the beach and near lots of other restuarants. The facilities are nice and our room was really nice and clean.

For what we were paying it felt a bit over-priced and the breakfast wasn't good. Saying that though, most hotels on Samet are more expensive compared to other islands. I don't think we would have been pleased if we'd stayed for a week.
