The cottage is very cute and the bed is comfy.
They probably should provide more pillows because the bed frame is hard to sit against with one pillow.

Great location very close to beach

It's a lovely little accommodation, only a few minutes walk to a nice stip of beach!
Rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. There were good options at breakfast and a nice flow of top ups each morning.
Would be nice to also have a little section on the beach for the cottage's guests, even if we did have to pay a fee for the chairs and umbrellas.

+ Recently renovated rooms near the beach
+ Decent breakfast buffet
Narrow room with only small window to the outside
- Weak to inexisting WiFi, neighboring hotel showed strenger signal
- Even insisting it was difficult to get the room cleaned every day (not enough staff according to the boss)
- No change of linen in five days
- Mold in the bathroom

Very cute place. Has everything you could need - private room, comfortable bed, private bathroom, 3 minute walk to the one of the more private beaches on the island, free breakfast. So much for such a basic price. Great restaurant just down the street on the beach (Reef Bar) and just a 20 min walk to main beach.
Breakfast had much more variety than expected - eggs, toast, rice, pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, OJ.

Cute clean rooms, beautiful bedding, got everything we needed. Great breakfasts, we didn’t really expect such a good variety. Also there’s a small cafe right around the corner and Short walk to the beach
Too much bug spray used while cleaning the rooms - had to wash all the clothes, leave the suitcase to “breath” for couple days to get rid of the smell

For the price, this is a very good place. If you expect 5 star rooms or service, then you will be disappointed.
There is a bar around the corner, and a short walk down to the amazing beach below. I rented a scoter to explore the island and other beaches. This is cheap, 300-400 bath depending on where you rent. There are taxis waiting at the pier when you arrive to the island that can take you to the hotel unless you do what I did, I rented a scoter as I came of the ferry.
Breakfast isn't amazing, but perfectly adequate for the price.
A little more from the breakfast, and they fill up the shampoo and soap in the room. But, this is a budget stay, I cannot complain too much!

Sky Cottage gave a great breakfast, fresh eggs, rice, noodles, lots of fruit and wonderful pancakes. Most great way to start the day!
I liked everything!

L'emplacement proche des belles plages.
Propre et bon petit déjeuner

Un peu bruyant car nous avions chambre en bordure de route .

We changed from the room to a private bungalow. It was very nicely decorated and even had a chandelier! The facilities were good with a kettle a decent sized fridge. Breakfast was included and was simply amazing! There were eggs, toast, cereal, fruit and Thai food as well. Very impressive. Staff were lovely too. It’s a very short walk to the beach.
There are two sets of curtains in the bungalow. One set was near enough blackout but the very top curtains in the top window near the roof were net curtains and this let in the morning light.

Good room, 3 minutes walk to the beach. Good buffet breakfast with a reasonable choice. A quiet, relaxing garden resort.
Everything was fine.

Super clean, near the beach, Ammy and her staff are very kind. Good breakfast.
No safe-box in the room and the one at the reception was broken. A wardrobe in the room would be very useful.

The problem is the lack of communication with the staff who can speak only in Cambodian.
The credit card terminal was not operational for visa card and we have to withdraw money in a ATM very far from the hotel.
Can eat only fried eggs and not scrambled or boiled eggs.
The quality of the bread was very poor with low nutriments.

reasonable price, breakfast was good and very relaxing place.
all good for the price we paid. If you are budgeted this is the best recommended.

Location is the best, very near to the nice beach and restaurants and the price it's quite cheap. Breakfast was ok. They are providing water every day. Remember to have cash prepared for paying !
The staff is not very nice, they don't know how to communicate in english, they seemed confused if you ask them very basic questions like what time is the breakfast etc. You have to remove the shoes to enter the property which I don't really like to walk barefoot to reach my room or go to eat breakfast. The stairs are very steep and the cleaning is not every day( the towels were not changed during our stay)

The location, 5 minutes from the beautiful Tub Tim Beach, was brilliant. The room was small but bright, clean and comfortable. It was also quiet and we slept very well. We had a great time on Samet but spent little of it in the hotel.
We asked for a room with as much natural light as possible and we got a lovely one on the top floor. However, the staircase was Alpine steep and uneven. Great care was needed to negotiate the climb and descent. The water supply was cut off at awkward times. The toilet flush failed unexpectedly and some showers were postponed. It's an island, we got over it. We were not warned that payment on arrival had to be in cash only. We booked 2 rooms for 7 nights. Payment cleaned us out and the nearest ATM was 2km away, not "on-site" as claimed on booking.com. the manager was pleasant, until payment was made in full. Totally indifferent to us after that. The breakfast room was lovely but the food was boring after the first day. Spent as little as possible on the breakfast seemed to be the house policy. The breakfast was included for all and not "a free genius breakfast" as claimed by booking.com.

Wonderful buffet breakfast included. Comfy room and near a more secluded and quiet beach perfect for chilling out.
There were a few issues like ants in the room or no water in the shower, but the staff were awesome and resolved everything quickly. The rooms are not the most sound proof, but luckily the other people staying were all pretty quiet.

All good. The staff is very friendly and helpful! By booking.com they were sold out for the whole period we wanted to stay and then in a quick call the manager sorted it out and then we could stay longer. The architecture is gorgeous, the hotel is very close to a hidden beach hahaha which is quieter than others but it's fantastic! Their breakfast exceeded our expectations!
A lot of exposed garbage next to get the upstairs :/

Rooms were cute and clean and very comfortable.
The breakfast was the most disappointing part. Very basic and very little choice.

to be honest not much the negative reception we received has put us off here.
the staff were extremely rude. we were an inconvenience to stay there. it’s a shame as the rooms were reasonably nice.
but the attitude of the check in girl was horrendous. really nasty lady. she shouldn’t be working in customer service.
there was no language barrier either as my Thai friend also translated when she tried to argue about payments, when it was presumed the payment had been taken as according to booking it had. so I simply wanted five minutes to check my account. but she continued to be rude and harsh.
there was no issue in paying. we just wanted to double check it had not been
paid.
we were also only allowed one key , the room was being shared with a friend. what hotel in the world only gives you one key for a room that sleeps two guests. again she was rude when I asked for a second key. “only have two one for me and one for you why you need second key”. the fact we are not conjoined twins maybe why we need a second key??? asked if could leave the key at reception in the evening , we was told no they lock the door.
also made to take shoes off and leave outside ,yes a very Thai custom not an issue , however being made to walk across dirty floors up steep stairs is an issue. if you want people to take shoes off undertake some cleaning.

Location and breakfast were acceptable
No safety deposit box in the room although mentioned on booking.com. Staff was very unfriendly, didn't clean the room although asked couple times.
Stairs to second floor were like a ladder.
Not allowed to wear shoes within the hotel.

Air con hardly worked., ants in every corner in the room, bugs in the bed left fresh bites over me every morning. location is quiet, miles away from everything.

very cute cottages. just a couple minutes to walk to beach - either to Tubtim or through Samed Villa.
room didn’t have a kettle, but they happily provided one once we asked. a little more challenging to fix was the loft. so very cute, but the railing was low and we were worried a bit about the kids sleeping up there, esp since the oldest (age 7) sometimes sleep walks. luckily, it was fine but maybe a better option for those with older kids
