Wauw! Our stay was amazing! We are travelling with our daughter (18 months) and we all felt home when we arrived. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and are great chefs! Little Robyn immediately had a couple of new aunties she fell in love with. The rooms have a great atmosphere and are located close enough to Ubud, but also far enough for peace and silence. We initially booked for 1 night, but cancelled our next hotel to stay longer. Thanks team of The Samara hotel!

this is not a 4* place. TV but no signal, WIFI on and off. Room supplies - had to ask each time for it. Breakfast is symbolic.

Really nothing - I did find the door key difficult when locking the door. But all was lovely

I booked this accommodation five months ago. The reason why I booked this place at the expense of inconvenience in the location of the accommodation when almost all accommodations could be booked in Ubud was because our group could share the space. When all the rooms here were empty, I carefully read the reviews and questions and chose a room marked with a villa - a private swimming pool with two rooms on one floor.I didn't choose a two-bedroom villa and a swimming pool because I knew the stairs were outside and not inside. In other words, we knew the difference between the two rooms, and we chose more rooms when we could choose both. They explained that it was to provide a larger room. That is not the right answer. We wanted each other to be in the same space, and the pool with the villa was the higher of the two rooms when I booked the accommodation. They reserved the room we reserved later than us, but they offered it to people who stayed longer. If you explain that it's a better room and the same price, the situation gets worse. You may have thought we could just move on without knowing how meticulously we checked the explanation of the accommodation in advance. However, if a guest has completed a reservation five months ago, they should be aware that there are clear conditions or forms they want in-room that they want. They told us that we had no other choice and that we could move to another accommodation if they didn't want to. That was a very irresponsible thing to say. It is only possible if we waste time looking for accommodation and pay a much higher price than five months ago.The manager said he would provide two services. Time is very important for us who stay in Ubud for only three days, but time constraints were inevitable to receive the service provided by the accommodation. Nevertheless, the reason I received this service to the end is that I don't want to repeat the same mistake to the other guests in the accommodation.

Samara Villas located about 7 minutes walk from Ubud Market and about 10 minutes walk from the Saraswati Lotus Temple. It is truly well located even if you don't have a motorbike, but Rusma and her team can sort this and many other things like a beautiful floating breakfast and even a privat massage in your villa or room.
I absolutely loved our stay - what a beautiful scenery! Our villa looked out onto the rice fields and it felt well tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud.... it is very quiet and peaceful. The villa itself was breathtaking also - beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms, amazing bathroom with a hot tub and doube sink (always a winner!). The private pool and sunbathing area was out of this world too. I really loved the garden and the beautiful plants and trees that created a true oasis for our stay.
Rusma and her team always made sure we had fresh, drinking water available and delicious breakfast that set us up for the day ahead. She has organised our sunrise hike to to the top of Mount Batur and even prepared us some packed breakfast when we had to leave the villa super early for the day's adventure.
I'm was super happy and impressed with Samara Villas and I would happily return here when visiting Ubud, Bali in the future. I highly recommend them as a place for you to stay and have a wonderful and peaceful time at the villas whilst enjoying the business of Ubud which is only a short walk away.

Staff were very friendly
The spa bath was horrible, when you turn on the jets slime came out. My kids hurt themselves on the edges. A normal bath would be better.
Power went out a few times during our stay.
Villa was not well equipped, with minimal cutlery and crockery.

Exceptionally nice staff. Beautiful location in between rice fields. Rooms were large with high ceiling. Free scooter shuttle service until 8pm available.
Without scooter pickup rather steep walk (with a nice view) back from ubud. Whirpool water smelled a bit. Sun chair and 2nd floor pillows would improve the stay even more :)

Lovely place, the view of the rice field is really beautiful.
The staff is super friendly and will help you. I broke my phone during my stay and the staff was so nice to lend me a phone to reach them
Perfect location if you have a bike otherwise there is free shuttle where the staff will pick you up
Expect to have some ants around your villa as its located near the rice field. Not a big deal as the place is really clean

Friendly staffs, responsive with our request.
Clean room, location is in central, nice view, surrounded by rice fields.
The hotel provides free car park just few meters in front, continued by walk or by motorbike (free service from the hotel).
Need to align w/ booking.com about children rule. If you have children better to check first with the hotel.
Sofabed is actually a sofa.
