Friendly staff and spacious rooms
There needs to be better vents especially under the doors and windows to help keep mosquitoes out the room. Especially the rooms on the the far end where there’s bush/trees right outside the balcony

The resort is conveniently located in an area with plenty of restaurants, bars, convenience stores and gas stations. The resort staff was phenomenal and attentive to our needs throughout the stay. The resort room was clean , comfortable and spacious. The view from the room was amazing.

Extremely welcoming and helpful staff members, nothing was too much effort for them and they always greeted us with a smile.
Room was spacious, spacious double wardrobes with hangers, iron and ironing board. Spacious shower room. Functional kitchenette, including small fridge with freezer compartment, 2 electric hobs, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, crockery, cutlery, teapot, teacups and saucers, espresso teacups and saucers, bottle/cork opener, chopping board. A selection of coffees and teas; sachets of sugar. Various types of glass drinking glasses and coolers.
Spacious balcony with patio/bistro chairs and table and 2 lounger chairs.
I had booked a garden view room, however room 35 had views of the garden, the accommodation below and breathtaking views of the harbour and bay in the distance. We couldn't get enough of those views everyday.
15 minute walk to Pigeon Point Beach. Please note, the walk has fairly steep inclines and declines but do-able in flip flops. The walk there is worth the effort, it's a beautiful bit of coastline and one the best in Antigua. Due to family links, I'm in my 40s and have been coming to Antigua since I was 9 years old, so I can vouch for it.
A fairly good choice of restaurants in the local area, however arriving out of season for the area (sailing/tourist season in the south of the island Nov-Apr), majority of the restaurants and eateries were closed. We stayed July/Aug.
The mattresses were very hard and caused all over body pain and sleepless nights, however after complaining twice the staff quickly placed thick soft mattress toppers on 2 separate consecutive occasions making the bed far more comfortable to sleep on.
Couldn't quite fully understand how to operate the Air Conditioning unit, there was no instructions that went with operating the remote control. Wanted to reduce the intensity of the unit, but was unable to do so effectively.
TV had 2 remote controls! Again, could have done with simple instructions in how to operate the TV with the use of the 2 remote controls.
It would've been nice to have found a carton of milk in the mini fridge on arrival, to make a much needed cup of tea after 15 hours travelling approx.!

Check in was fast and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Views of the marina and bay were breathtaking
There was a moldy smell in the room. The fridge had many rust stains. The bathroom floor had many stains which gave the appearance of not being clean. My room had quite a bit of mosquitoes despite the doors and windows being closed.

Hotel is set in the heart of town, walking distance to everything. it has a lovely chilled / relaxed ambiance. Also offers a lovely range of complimentary teas and coffee. staff were very friendly and helpful.
The working of the tv wasn’t easy to understand. Although you could use your password and sign into your Netflix. Unfortunately my Air con disappointingly didn’t work. It went on initially then the trip switched then it would go on and off within seconds.
No body could fix it till the morning and I was leaving that day. I am used to not having air con so it was a luxury I wasn’t able to enjoy on this occasion.
The fan above the bed was too high up and didn’t have much affect.

steep road and steps to room

Being on the harbour front with the nearby Gallion & pigeon beaches were lovely also the food restaurants available.
Within our accomodation the kitchenette 1of 2 plugs didn't work plus one of the two rings to hob didn't heat up at all, we did notify at reception. The bathroom toilet flush when we first arrived didn't work very well but was fixed the next day! & Needed desperately a fan to work with showers & toilet.
Being in and around the yacht area is more lively but the noise from one bar at night was unbelievably bad up to 2 am in the morning, the doors were vibrating I had to use cushions to buffer the noise.
Room was a nice but attention to these issues wood have made a better.

I have to say I didn't have the highest expectations of the hotel - my partner and I stayed for the sailing regatta we were racing in but it exceeded my expectations. For starters I managed to get our booking dates wrong and so we didn't actually have a booking for night 1! Luckily no problem at all and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Our room was HUGE with a little kitchenette. Yes everything quite basic but very clean and lots of space. I slept really well for our whole stay. The location is not for everyone, right on the marina where there are busy bars and clubs so it is not a quiet environment but it feels safe and really it is really fun and great to be located centrally for everything you need. The Marina restaurant had very good food too. Also a short 10 min walk to Pigeon Beach and similarly round to Nelsons Dock - very handy location and above all very good value for money.
Nothing!

The apartment was very spacious, clean and the air conditioning was very good.
Location was fantastic for all that is around, the view was ok but we did opt for a garden view.
The whole apartment is in need of renovation and in the mean time the fixtures and fittings require a bit of maintenance.
I appreciate we have just come out of global pandemic but this apartment obviously required refurbishment long before then, also with the cost of travel and leisure these days I'm unsure if we got value for money.
The mattress was very firm, no matter what side I slept on I always woke with a dead arm.

perfect location for the English harbour
a little tired
lots of mosquitoes

The apartment was large and comfortable with a fantastic view of English Harbour 😁. We read in reviews that a golf buggy lift would be available to take you up and down the very steep walk up to the apartment. Although when you read these things you do wonder if this will be totally so. We soon found it was correct. A buggy was available EVERY time we asked and made a bit of fun each time.
ALL the staff were amazing. They were very helpful, very polite and good fun .
Although it did not come as a surprise to us as we had read lots of other reviews, the apartments could do with a refurb. They are very tired and therefore appeared to not be the cleanest for example a large chip in a tile on the stairs down to the bedroom.
None of this though detracted from the fab holiday we had.

fantastic location, great view from the balcony.
security guards were very helpful.
very basic room, not what I expect from the pictures.
check in staff weren’t super friendly.

We booked a room with a sea/harbour view and it was definitely worth it (a brew on the balcony every morning watching the yachts). Large spacious room and aged but very clean bathroom. Very close to the road where you find all the main bars/restaurants but no noise issues.
The rooms are built on a small hillside so there is a little climb to get to some of the rooms - golf buggies drive you and your luggage up/down as you arrive/depart - in no way an issue for us but may affect some.
The only other issue is that some of the rooms windows only have wire mesh and wooden shutters, no glass - this means you do have a chorus of whistling frogs (ubiquitous in the carribbean!) every night. It didn't affect me as I'm a good sleeper but I'd suggest you take earplugs. These points are only for information, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Our room was a joke. It was dirty and disgusting. we couldn’t walk around without flip flops or our feet would be black… it was so dirty. There was a vent/window from our bathroom into the lobby of the hotel. You could literally hear everything (in both directions). The toilet was broken. The pillows, blankets and towels were the cheapest.
