Views are excellent from the hotel.
- room was lovely
- Very close to the beach
- staff very nice and helpful.
on site restaurant the food (and quantity) is not great for the price
- lots of mosquitoes by evening (went end of March) so eating / sitting in the restaurant was not an option

Love the space and decor of our room! But somethings in the room needs updating! Luv that we were right on the beach and could look out onto the clear blue water first thing in the morning! Property itself is gorgeous
For the price of the stay shuttle service should be included for short distant trips! There was numerous flies in our room. Need more outside lighting at night!

The location of this resort was wonderful. They had 2 beach areas - a quiet area and a more lively one with food and bar service. The Staff was exceptional and extremely helpful. The villa I stayed in, Beach 3, was out of this world. I would highly recommend this place.
I cannot think of any thing I didn't not like.

Amazing location, by the beautiful Ffryes Beach. Beautiful views - turquoise water and sunset.
Large, well-appointed suite. Modern bathroom (+ soaking tub), kitchenette.
Good breakfast. Pleasant staff.
We liked everything, but make sure that you can walk the stairs. The complex is embedded in the slope of the hill and all suits and villas are on different levels. Depending on the location, you may need to walk multiple flights of stairs to get to your room and to the beach.

Beautiful beach, people were great
No convenience store, me ie could be more expanded

I travelled alone to this hotel over Christmas, and I cannot thank the staff enough for being so nice to me and actually taking the time to get to know me. I can confidently say that they are the kindest and funniest people I have ever met in my life. Their warm welcome made my stay unforgettable, and I will definitely come back because of it.
The water dispenser was the only flaw in an otherwise perfect experience!

accomadation and beach is good
Breakfast was ok, service not great and you have to ask 3 or 4 times to get something, one day they will have something the next day they have run out,

The rooms are unbeatable as are views of the ocean and access to the beach
Service is about 1 star. Nobody is attempting to remove any barriers to make your stay more pleasant. Every question feels like the first time anyone has ever asked it. The front desk staff can be unresponsive and clearly hates their jobs. Most interactions with the front desk (the woman) were unpleasant and painful. They use what'sapp but prepared to get answers like "not sure."
Getting to room involves hiking.
No food is available during key times of the day and no real option to get any nearby. This is one of the biggest problems. They also run out of a lot of food items. There are no real snacks available. Asked for french fries to room service, I got day old fries for $16 USD!
For a large property on the beach, the pool is disappointing. It's small and faces bushes.
The towels are never available. You shouldn't have to beg for towels at a resort on the beach.
No spa. Massages offered in room but don't make the mistake of asking a question about the services, you won't get a real answer.
The hotel allowed cruise passengers to dominate the hotel for an entire day. That's the last thing you want at a luxury resort is random guests getting trashed and disrupting the peace of the resort.
There was entertainment one night out of 5. "Resort"
Restaurants are empty, crickets most evenings. The sad thing is that the restaurant is more than 50% of the usable space at the resort. Big fail. If they lowered their restaurant prices, they'd get more traffic and it'd be an actually enjoyable place in the evening.
The dinner food is actually really good but very limited menu that doesn't change each night besides paella and pizza nights.
When it rains here (which it might, it's the Caribbean), there is no refuge. You will be stuck in your room the whole time. With no food mid-day.

We had a suite and the view of the ocean and beach was beautiful
Having to Walk back and forth on the steep driveway in order to get to the beach, pool, service desk, etc. They should provide golf carts. Communication with the front desk was a struggle via WhatsApp. No ICE in the room, there was flies, so make sure not to leave the slide doors open. If you want local food you have to get a Taxi to take you which cost $60-$80 1 way, or order from app called AllsMart similar to GrubHub, so I'd recommend to get a rental car. Overall everyone was nice.

The view from the breakfast area was lovely, the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The food was fair at best, juices were watered down, espresso drinks were not properly prepared, eggs were not cooked properly, menu was somewhat limited.

Our view over our pool was all ocean. The sunsets were incredible. Our pool was dramatic to look at and perfect for exercising. The kitchen was spotless and gorgeous. The sitting area right out of Architectural Digest. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable . The lovely beachside restaurant was perfect. Quite naturally, it was very hard to leave when our week was over.
The interior stairs were rather steep and long for senior legs, but well worth the spectacular and very private setting.

The staff and facilities here are phenomenal; we were so grateful we made the choice of Tamarind Hills for our honeymoon in Antigua and would stay here every time we return. From the thoughtfulness of the architecture to its position on the BEST beach on the island, Ffryes Beach, it’s really heaven on earth for anyone seeking a luxe experience with more freedom than restrictive, usually dated all-inclusives (that also charge a ton more for plastic buffet food). Highly recommend you book right away if you’re even thinking about it, and see my note below re: renting a car. This is essential to get around the whole island to try some top-tier restaurants in Jolly Harbour (5mins away) and other parishes.
This doesn’t have to do with the property itself, just an FYI – it’s best to be self-sufficient with a car rental (here and on Antigua as a whole if you’re not at an all-inclusive), otherwise you’ll be limited with taxis and/or the restaurant on the property, which was quite expensive and predominantly Italian cuisine. I noted to the owners how great it would be if the restaurant were Caribbean cuisine, so TBD on that, but Tamarind Hills is still absolutely the best place to stay on Antigua regardless.

Modern, clean, breathtaking views, pleasant staff.
I have no complaints.

clean, quite, good view
food expensive, staff specially the lady front desk, say yes yes yes, but never do it.

Location of resort excellent. Villa facilities generally excellent with a few exceptions. Most of the staff were great, very friendly and helpful but spoilt but one or two who were very poor.
Dinner and breakfast very poor. No teaspoons in the villa. No TV unless you subscribe to Netflix. Four person villa but only 2 sunbeds. No umbrella for patio table. Called Sunset Villas but can't see the sun setting from the villa. One member of staff promised to do certain things but either didn't or had to be chased!

wonderful room with a superb balcony and sea view excellent room
The climb up is not only very steep but poorly lit at night I had a fall that caused minor injury

This is as nice and beautiful of a property as we have stayed at. The pictures are legit. The room met all of our needs minus some operational issues that needed to be attended to. The bed might have been the most comfortable we have had internationally. The patio is awesome. The hot tub and shower were both awesome, but each had an issue that required maintenance, which caused some inconveniences. The staff are all as kind and friendly as can be, ranging from the front desk staff (Nafuna, Tonya, Adriano), to Bancroft, to Priscilla behind the bar, to the always smiling security woman at the lower entry/exit, etc.
A few add'l points for consideration:
- The place is super secure, with gated access on all sides and 24x7 security
- Wifi worked great for us in the room and all over the property, including the beach/pool
- The property is on a steep hill. This equates to beautiful views but also lots of stairs and/or steep walks. We liked the exercise, but others may not appreciate this aspect.
I struggled rating this place. The issues we encountered, and the high price made me consider an 8, but the place was just so fantastic in so many ways I went with a 9.
The property is a marvel built on a hill in a corner of the island surrounded by beautiful ocean waters. I'm sure it is very operationally challenging. I sensed that for everything they fixed, something else messed up (which they would fix). We had issues with check-in promptness, the room phone, hot water in the shower, and hot water in the jacuzzi during our stay. None were significant in isolation, and the staff was always empathetic and responsive, and all issues were fixed, but we didn't enjoy having to report so many issues. This was all experienced in a 3-night stay. There is beauty in things just working which we had expected from such a wonderful property.

this was the best hotel/resort I have ever experienced. it was absolutely beautiful and luxurious. the rooms are very fancy with the most beautiful decor. I loved everything about my stay including the workers. i can’t remember all their names but skinny, marsha, little bit, whitney, tanya, adriano, and tyra were very sweet and friendly. they made my stay as a solo traveler very enjoyable. when i come back to antigua i would stay at tamarind again.
the food from the restaurants partnering with the hotel is expensive and not tasty.

Breakfast was great service and tasty yet sooo expensive Last one and done there< Staff was super Beach beautiful and room spotlessThe staff were so awesome real people with a fantastic personality and heart
Our room..upon arrival the sink was leaking;I The local Man repaired it immediatly HE WAS AWESOME!! had requested flowers (twice, for my GF bDay) didnt happen; the fan over the bed never worked ; the door lock was a bit iffy; the cooktop didnt work; the shower valve had no hot water then scalded you on the same setting; the phone in the room would not call the front desk; the remote batteries were low The gate to the boardwalk had a cheezy lock,Why didnt I make MGMT aware of the needed repairs? I didnt want anyone in my room doing repairs that should have been captured prior to our arrival Although the beach was beautiful no music was provided(at the beach) and the curtains on ALL the beach cabanas were in need of replacement S Little things ,however for the pricing the place should have been near perfect

The complex is beautifully designed on one of the best beaches one can find. The suite was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The common areas have a view of the beach and there were ample loungers on the beach. We only had dinner at the restaurant and found it over priced for the very small quantities.
Netting on the poster bed would have allowed us to sleep with the balcony doors open listening to the waves.

The facility/hotel was very nice and the location was amazing! It felt very laid back and relaxing. I especially liked that the facility is nestled between two beaches which offered interesting food and activity options. The beachs were also beautiful and not crowded. The staff were nice and pretty funny as well. We shared a few good laughs. Especially the restaurant staff during breakfast. Adriano especially, a staff member in reception, was very helpful and super courteous. The club house (main restaurant) and the pool weren't open during my visit but when it does open, it will add to the experience nicely. The facility does have an evening shuttle to nearby restaurants, and if you choose to go further, a taxi can be easily arranged. I've already recommended Tamarind Hills to friends who plan to visit Antigua this/next year.
I had a issue during which my room was without water for a few good hours, which ruined my last day a bit. But the staff eventually and fixed it just before I had to leave. Better communication in keeping me up to date with repairs would have made this experience less stressful.

Full of broken promise. We booked the resort on the understanding the facilities would be open in October. The day before arriving at the beginning of December we were told everything would be open, Wild Tamarind restaurant, pool, beach bar - only the beach bar was open and it shut at 2pm.
I had a swimming costume stolen from the resort by people not staying at the resort. they knew who had taken it abd wgere they were staying.
When we paid our bill they didn’t give an invoice, the amount was written on a post it note, I’ve asked for email invoice and apology but have been ignored.
the facilities were not open

Firstly, I do need to compliment the size of the room, I am quite tall and so standard hotel rooms are usually a little underwhelming, while this was perfect, the bed was huge and very comfortable. It was clean and since our room was on the top of the hill (which is something thing to take in consideration, it is hilly there and quite a steep walk up, the view was fantastic. The food we had in the premises was also very nice, everything we had was delicious, I recommend the Clubhouse for lunch they had a variety of poke options and we tried a few all were excellent. The best part, PEOPLE, everyone was super helpful and kind, they'd go the extra mile with a smile... never seen a concierge/gate people smiling while having to manually open the gate every time we drive past ... we were very impressed. The food we had in the premises was also very nice, everything we had was delicious, I recommend the Clubhouse for lunch they had a variety of poke options and we tried a few all were excellent.
I would not say I disliked, but it is an area of opportunity - breakfast choices. I understand they only opened the breakfast/lunch area there shortly before we arrived, the big restaurant was to open the week after our stay. I do need to say everything we had was very delicious, but the breakfast choices were quite limited and lacked i.e. a basic continental option (pastry butter, cheese, ham, vegetables). I do not eat sweet breakfast and that left me with a choice of a bagel with salmon (which I had a few times and was good) or full English - which I can have back in England where I live so I am not having that in the carribean for sure.

The property is very clean and beautiful 😍 very quiet. The views are breathtaking. Great staff. All around very relaxing.
If you are arriving on a flight after 8pm make sure to stop and get something to eat before getting to resort. Only 1 restaurant and it closed at 5pm. Most places in the area is closed by 9pm.

The property was beautiful and clean, but the highlight of my trip was the connection I made with the head of Guest Relations, Mr. Bancroft. He was very personable and tended to all my needs during my stay! Because of you, I will solo travel to Antigua and stay at Tamarind Hills again! Thank you again for making my visit to Antigua that much more special! Until next time.
