Beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly.
Very clean.
Configuration of room, not as requested on booking.com. Staff had not been notified of request via booking.com and were unable to rectify until following day.
I would suggest a bigger choice of cereal for breakfast.

Lovely old building we had a large and comfortable family room, very good dinner menu, and full English breakfast in the morning. Staff very friendly and accommodating

I liked the fact the hotel was in its own grounds, which was very peaceful. There was plenty of parking places.
The staff are very friendly and attentive.
It's a bit out of the way, I drive so wasn't a problem for us.

The breakfast was excellent but be warned if you don’t like beans on the plate with a full English you should let them know when ordering, otherwise they do it by default. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
I don’t really understand why this hotel is so expensive, it’s more like a dated pub with a function room. Our two bedrooms were very small as were the beds, and one of the rooms absolutely reeked of chip fat. Presumably it’s over the kitchen but it wasn’t really habitable. The other room was mostly fine but the bathroom was tatty and cheap and there was a horrible red/brown splatter on the shower wall. The bedroom ceiling was pretty cobwebby which usually indicates a cleaning issue overall. I’d say the room and facilities aren’t worth paying any more than £90 a night.

The breakfast consisted of continental and cooked full English included in the price which was excellent. The room albeit small was comfortable with a very comfy bed. Bathroom was basic but OK for 1 night. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Carvery lunch smelt delicious although we didn't try it. Was a very popular venue with the locals which is a good sign.
Very noisy in the morning as we were above reception and there was a lot of noise from staff.

The bed was very comfortable and warm, especially good as the outside temperature was about -4 degrees Celsius! The room was a good size and quiet, with a new deep pile carpet and underlay.
When we arrived there was a Funeral Wake in the function room which hosted such a large number of guests, there was no room to park! I had to park around the back of the property where there are some private houses.
There was nobody on duty outside to explain, neither was there any notice to inform new arrivals like myself where else we should park.

The staff - Particularly Laura - were fantastic. The young lady who was on breakfast duty in the morning was also fabulous and she made sure we had everything we needed. The chef cooked a fabulous vegan friendly breakfast with extra mushrooms! Thank you
Not sure...it was a great trip down memory lane

Friendly helpful staff I new that there was no disabled access to first floor rooms, either a lift or chairlift would make this a more appealing place to stay.
Beautiful cooked full English breakfast and continental breakfast available aswell

Easy stop off location for travelling from Scotland to the south. Staff were very friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Big rooms and bathrooms.
