The staff was the best and the location and views were amazing. The main problems were we had no washing machine, dryer, nor dishwasher. If there were a central washer and dryer available for us to use, that would have been fine as well. Everyone in the building had clothes and beach towels hanging out on the balconies The units need some updating as well. The kitchen in our unit was poorly equipped but the wonderful people in the restaurant let us borrow some things so we could prepare our meals. If the units were as awesome as the staff, it would have been perfect!!

Great resort and highly recommended, excellent service and wonderful staff. Only issue is that the apartment is 11 years old and starting to show signs of age. There is some deferred maintenance.

Our stay was amazing - the staff were incredibly helpful, the suite was huge and as nice as the pictures and the resort was fantastic - we especially enjoyed the pool but the beach was lovely too.

We enjoyed staying here, the location is great, the overall facility is nice, the staff are friendly. Overall, we had a nice time. HOWEVER, the elevator is a serious problem, and was for all we encountered. EVERYONE was complaining about it. We were on the 2nd floor, naturally looking to go down as we have no keyed access beyond our unit, and the elevator opens directly into the units. That elevator would stop on the way up, and take you up. If you didn't get on, it would return AND PASS BY our floor on the way to the lobby, then repeat. We had to take the emergency stairwell many times as it was just simply easier. Sometimes we called the elevator, and several minutes would pass by as we heard it elsewhere above, then the button would stop being lit with the elevator having no intention of coming. A number of times we got on and it took us up to other units, which is a safety issue because the elevator opens directly into units. This happened a number of times where we were suddenly in somebody else's unit, and THEY WEREN'T THERE and hadn't called the elevator. Then, of course, the elevator opened up into our unit a number of times, this when we hadn't called the elevator, and we had strangers inside our unit. This is ultimately a guest safety issue. You don't want to leave anything on the table near the elevator as somebody could easily dart out and grab it, then get back on. This is also then obviously a women's physical safety issue. Also, there are two stairwells, one is an emergency stairwell with one-way doors, the other a metal keyed access for which you cannot exit but can enter if the elevator is broken. Both lead right down to the busy staff area. The end result is we regularly felt like we had people in our unit because the sound travels and the door is not soundproofed, or even properly jammed as it features a huge gap. Even with our interior bedroom door closed we still very clearly heard voices while in bed, and I don't mean distant and muffled, I mean loud and clear. I should note, men came and fixed lights in the elevator, but it was still taking us for rides and opening into other units. I really think this is a computer programming issue as the elevator opens on the way up, but not on the way down, and periodically permits entry without the proper key card present.

The unit was a perfect spot for our group of three couples to enjoy Manuel Antonio. It was exceptionally clean. Furniture was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for simple cooking. The staff was very friendly. Location was excellent.

The place was spacious and staff was very helpful. There was some confusion initially about where we were supposed to check in. All communication referred to Jungle Vista Inn but we actually stayed at Los Altos. It’s the same company, but that was confusing. They were very helpful once we arrived. The pool and beach are very nice

For the summer, my family and I traveled to Costa Rica. There we stayed at this astounding location. The staff there were very generous and cooperative. They recommened a lot of spots for us to try out. They're also great communicators. The hotel itself was spotless and homey. If I ever come back to Manuel Antonio this will be my go-to hotel. The only thing I suggest is that you get extra room keys because some of them will end up not working.
