We stayed at Casa Serendad for 5 days and absolutely loved it! The pictures of the house don’t do it justice, it’s beautiful and the view is breathtaking! Jorge our concierge was so helpful and guided us to so many local great places. The back patio has the most stunning view and we saw monkeys, iguanas, and macaws while sitting having coffee every morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay !

Great place, would stay again.

This is a lovely property. Everything worked well for our family. Four nice bedrooms were perfect for us and three kids, each having their own room with comfortable beds. Enjoyed seeing the squirrel monkeys, macaws, and toucans come right up to home for close views. Amazing. Kitchen and living room are not huge but had everything we needed. Everyone has commented on the very steep drive and that is accurate. But just take it slow. Property manager also very responsive to questions and needs. Thanks for a wonderful vacation in Costa Rica.

We had a wonderful time in the Manuel Antonio Park area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful! The house was perfect, plenty of room for privacy as well as enjoying time together as a group. It is not too far from things however, you feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle. Definitely recommend an especially to advantage of having Chef Cris come and make you meals!!

Our group of nine (four adults, four children, one infant) loved our stay at Casa Serenidad. Jorge and Hazel, the in-stay and pre-visit concierges, were incredibly helpful and arranged airport transfers, activities, grocery delivery, and more. We arrived to a pack-n-play set up for our infant. The house was furnished with towels, staple board and card games, basic spices and kitchen supplies. Massive master, rest of the rooms and bathrooms are comfortable. Independent control of temp. in each room. Really enjoyed our stay and the area as a whole.
A few things that prospective visitors should know --
* Reviews mentioning the driveway are 100% accurate. You'll want a 4 wheel drive vehicle if you're not used to steep hills, and you'll need to walk to the base of the hill to meet cabs and scheduled rides for excursions. Cars and cabs will be necessary. Not an easy walk to town.
* The kitchen is fine, not amazing. Some oddly laid out drawers that don't open all the way. Pots and pans are low end, but within the expected range for a rental like this. It would be difficult to prepare daily meals for a group that maxes out the occupancy.
* The pool is beautiful but could be dangerous for some groups. Slick tiles around it. Our kids had a couple hard falls, then we got smart and laid towels down to create traction. Super deep, and you'll need to closely watch anyone who isn't a strong swimmer. Monkeys and birds were in the trees around the pool and a highlight of the visit.

We loved staying at Casa Serenidad! The location was great being between both Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We had restaurants and shops very close to our location and Jorge was quick to get us a cab to go anywhere we wanted.
The house was also very nice with 4 bedrooms, a nice living area, and amazing pool with a view of the jungle canopy. We were able to see a lot of wildlife from the patio and pool such as macaws, iguanas, nighthawks, and several other unique animals.
Jorge and Hazel were both very helpful in planning our stay and helping us book in house chefs, which was also a great experience.
Overall, Casa Serenidad is a great place to stay and would highly recommend for other groups to stay here. Pura Vida!

Our group of 9 had an amazing stay here! The house is beautiful and spacious. The pictures are accurate. I actually thought the pool and deck area looked even nicer in person. I also felt like the primary room bathroom was a real selling point! House came with cooking utensils, basics like some tea or coffee or olive oil, as well as fun games. Regular towels and beach towels were provided. Our group loved making coffee and hanging out on the porch with our legs in the pool every morning. The staff were some of the nicest and most responsive people I’ve ever met. Jorge was always available and called us so many cabs! His help made transportation SO convenient given we didn’t get a car. He also recommended great places to eat. Note, the house is up an incredibly steep STEEP hill. Just be aware if you are renting a car or if you want to walk places. That’s the only downside of the house is it’s not really walkable anywhere even though it is nearby. That said, we didn’t care about that; the location is how you get those nice green views! My friend did see a bunch of monkeys one morning, also, which was cool. In summary: everyone in our group loved the house, and I’d stay here every year!

The home was perfect for our stay in Manuel Antonio. Both Hazel and Jorge were outstanding concierges. The home is very clean and comfortable with AC throughout. The pool is refreshing after long days sightseeing. Jorge recommended the Monarca cafe and we loved it. It is one of the few air conditioned cafes in MA and you are surrounded by beautiful butterflies. Highly recommend home and cafe!

What an amazing adventure! This place was in the PERFECT location…minutes by car to the best restaurants, beaches, and shops in both Manuel Antonio and Quepos.
This was my family’s first trip to Costa Rica and our host Jorge made sure the transition was absolutely seamless. He was always quick to respond to all of our questions and helped us to find and book the best tours and restaurants to suit our family. When our son got a fever for a stomach infection (from who knows what), he didn’t hesitate to rush over with a thermometer and drive with my husband and son to see a doctor (by the way the medical system here is so efficient). We always felt looked after and secure.
Thanks Jorge, we look forward to seeing you next year!

From beginning to end, our vacation at this rental was wonderful! Hazel communicated everything prior to our arrival and set up several excursions for us. Even when one of our party’s flights were repeatedly delayed, she helped arrange a late night transport for him to meet us at the house. Once we were settled, Jorge was on call to take care of all our needs, from rescheduling a zip line tour after a super rainy day, to getting us last minute, hard to get tickets and guide to the Manuel Antonio Park. Jorge went above and beyond! It’s not an understatement to say that the staff made our entire trip more than we could have ever hoped for.
The location of the house was perfect- nestled in the hillside between MA and Quepos, you felt like you were immersed in the jungle. Macaws flew by every morning and we saw white faced and squirrel monkeys from the pool deck multiple times. The driveway is super steep, but just put your car in 1st gear and go for it!
If you’re up for an adventure, go down the street to the path to the El Salto waterfall. 2km trekking in and around the creek brings you to a hidden gem for swimming and jumping. Kids found the hike super fun, but be aware, the older adults had to take it slow to avoid tripping on the roots and rocks. We packed a lunch and made an afternoon of it.
All in all, I absolutely recommend this place for your Costa Rican vacation. Pura vida!

Perfect for our stay and for our family
Spotless house, great location
Monkeys came to visit twice, along with countless birds.
Book the house, you won’t regret it

The house was clean and as described. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly. Having Jorge as our concierge was very helpful for booking excursions and setting up taxi rides. Nauyaca waterfall excursion with Paddle 9 was our favorite. They assist you with cliff jumping which you can not do on your own. They also share the history of Costa Rica. You can see beautiful parrots fly by while sitting by the pool every morning. Magic Bus food truck was one of our favorites. Not fancy but good food.

My family and I had a memorable stay and look forward to our next trip. We could stay at this beautiful property again and again. Honestly, I’d love to buy it!
Birdwatching from the patio overlooking the pool is a lovely way to spend time drinking coffee in the mornings.
The vacation rental team helped with everything from calling us cabs to booking excursions. They’re a very professional group.
I will only caution you that the driveway is very steep. I highly recommend a 4-wheel drive.

This was a lovely property that was perfect for our family. Loved the off-the-beaten-path location, which was ideally situated between Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Loved sitting out on the balcony while listening to the exotic sounds of the jungle’s fauna. The dipping pool was great, too! We loved our stay!

Wonderful stay at this house on a hilltop in Quepos. Our family loved the infinity pool and the privacy of the back patio. plenty of shade. We saw many colorful birds fly by. Clean with high end finishes and comfortable beds. We stayed 3 nights but would have been comfortable for a weeklong vacation or more. The vacation house staff and concierge Jorge and his team were very accommodating and prompt. They planned our excursions and they were perfectly executed. Tip: If you rent a car, you need 4 wheel drive. Very steep to get to the top of the hill of the home. Would recommend this home for a luxury vacation in Costa Rica.

This place was amazing! The villa itself was spotlessly clean, the furnishings were beautiful, and having 3 bathrooms was very helpful especially for a large group. We were speechless when we first walked out onto the deck. Being at the top of the trees was amazing. We saw hummingbirds, macaws, and monkeys! Getting up the driveway was a bit of a challenge at first as it's very steep but well worth the end result of being at the top of the trees! The proximity to Manuel Antonio on one side and Quepos on the other was perfect for restaurants, groceries and entertainment. The owners were quick with responding to our reservation change. The other thing that made our stay perfect, organized and unforgettable was dealing with our concierge, Hazel. She helped to organize the many excursions we went on and without her adsistance it would have been much more difficult. We definitely hope to go back some day.

Close to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, the home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Pool was fun and visits by monkeys, toucans, and macaws were great. Jorge was very helpful to us. No complaints.

This home was perfect for our family vacation! The location was excellent, we saw red macaws fly by constantly, had both squirrel monkeys and white-faced capuchin monkeys kindly visiting, and saw coatis and iguanas. The location was accessible to town but also felt isolated and private. We loved the layout of the house, the Master Suite was accessible on the first floor for my older parents while the other adults and grandkids enjoyed the top floor. Ample seating indoor and outdoor for a large family (we were 7 adults and 2 kids). We were incredibly impressed with the service provided by Jorge. He answered all our questions, set up tours for us, and even offered to do grocery shopping. Housekeeping came every other day and Margarita also provided us with laundry service in-house for a small extra fee, which was totally worth it. We would stay here again and would highly recommend it to your family. You won’t regret booking this home!

My family of four stayed at the Pura Vida property July 30- Aug. 5th. The property was absolutely perfect for our family. Everything we needed was provided. The views were beautiful and relaxing. We watched monkeys jumping in the trees as we sat by the pool. What set this property apart from every other was the concierge services provided. Hazel assisted with planning our transportation to and from the airport and arranged reservations for our excursions. Once we arrived in Costa Rica Jorge was available to help with dinner reservations and taxi’s. He was so kind and went above and beyond to help make this one of our best family vacations yet! Would highly recommend this property and all that it has to offer!

Our family of 6 had the most amazing 6-day stay at this beautiful home. It's super close to town yet feels very remote, which is exactly what we wanted. The outside space has spectacular views and the pool was the perfect. We saw Macaws flying by daily and heard the howler monkeys almost every morning. There is even a cool waterfall hike at the end of the street that we totally enjoyed one day (moderate hike). Highly recommend!
4.0 / 5.0
The property is amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking items and the kids loved the pool. We appreciated the full refrigerator and the ice maker. Our only issue was trying to find the actual property. By the time Hazel sent the email about instructions to meet we were already on the road driving there. Better directions to property would have been appreciated. But overall the nicest place we stayed our entire trip!!

Relax and Renew
This house is fantastic! The house is so relaxing and in a great location. You are close enough to everything yet you feel like you're in a private retreat. The house has everything you need, clean, and cozy. The housekeeper is so sweet and will do your laundry and Jorge was very helpful. There is a secret waterfall in the neighborhood that is AMAZING and free. Read the guest book for details. Take water and wear water/hiking shoes- it is AWESOME! Would stay at this house again 100%

AMAZING
The views, the house, the concierge were all perfect! I cannot thank Jorge enough for all of his help throughout our stay!!! The cleaning crew made the house spotless! We loved every minute of our stay here and hope to return. The macaws flew by daily! Driveway is extremely steep but we made it up and down safely. Jorge set us up with taxis when we needed and they were all great! Thank you for the hospitality!

Phenomenal
This house was absolutely amazing. It was in a wonderful part of Manuel Antonio, very easy to get to local markets, restaurants, beaches, and excursions. The house itself is beautiful, clean, with lots of space, and I think even better than the photos seen here! It was also well stocked with all kitchen supplies you would need. The pool and grill were probably our favorite part. Lots of wildlife including Macaws, toucans, and monkeys that came right to the house!
The house comes with easy contact to two concierges, Hazel before you arrive and Jorge once you get there. They both respond very quickly to questions and helped set up anything we wanted to do. Jorge will give you a list of recommendations for anything you would like. It was extremely easy and everything they recommended was very reliable. We had the chef come by and cook dinner at the house and did a zip-lining tour. Both things I highly recommend!
During our stay we rented two cars through Hertz. Having a car in Costa Rica was great for our group and our needs. However if I was to do it again, I would have booked the cars through Hazel prior to arrival and taken advantage of the shuttle she can set up to take you from the airport to the house. The cars Hazel found were less expensive and would have just been a smoother process overall.
Overall 10/10 experience and would absolutely rent this property again!

Beautiful Manuel Antonio Get Away
The house is gorgeous with a pretty view out into the jungle. It comes with everything you need, and even if there is something it doesn’t have, the concierge Jorge is more than happy to help get it for you. Short drive or walk to restaurants and great location for the national park. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Fantastic stay
The villa was accurately described in a lush environment. Waking up in the morning to the sound of the birds was magical. We got to see macaws, monkeys, toucans and all sorts of wonderful creatures. The location worked for us very well. But the biggest asset of the house is Jorge, our on-site manager and concierge. He is fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely wants you to have a great stay. He made everything so easy. So I would give a 6th star for Jorge. Everyone is different but for us the house and the staff made this family vacation a memorable experience.

If you’re looking for true peace and serenity this is your next destination.
I don’t believe the picture does this property any justice. This property is beautiful, peaceful, and has amazing views. The Host Jorge was able to accommodate us at any time of the day or night. The maid service was awesome! I stayed here for my bachelorette party, and I could have asked for anything more! I had such an amazing time thanks for the hospitality.

Serene family retreat
This was one of the very nicest homes my family has ever rented for a vacation. From the helpful coordination upon booking (transport, chef, excursions) to the checkin, service during and departure- we were treated like royalty.
The house was in excellent condition and so very clean that we didn’t have to do a thing but drop our bags, change our clothes and jump in the pool.
Jorge met us day 1, was in constant contact to arrange taxis and transport, chef- you name it. And any hour of the day. He runs an orderly ship and is so helpful! Margarite kept our house (8 adults) so orderly and perfectly clean. This has been a rare service with many VBROs. The guys that managed the pool, the trash- all of it really keep the property impeccable. We were able to enjoy our last evening on our beautiful patio with dinner served by the chef team. It was a relaxing way to enjoy the last evening without worries of preparing for a 6am departure.
This was an important trip for us- celebrating university, phd and high school graduations, new careers and reconnecting after 2 1/2 years of Covid travel restrictions. I would not hesitate to rent this property or any other serviced by this excellent group of people!

Beautiful home!
We had a great experience! The home was beautiful and private. Plenty of room for our family of 6. It’s well stocked with items for any kind of cooking. Air conditioning worked great after hot days out. The pool was amazing! The pictures of the patio area do not do it justice. Jorge was great to answer any questions or concerns we had. The listing does advertise a washer and dryer but it’s not available for guests to use anytime. The housekeepers will do your laundry for you.
We would recommend this house to friends and family!

Fantastic property that was just about perfect for our party of 5 college friends. Everything you need in the house, the pool and view of the jungle around you were wonderful. Our property manager/concierge was available for any questions during our stay and was very responsive. We would very much like to return!

This house lives up to its name
We loved everything about our stay at Casa Serenidad - it's in a great location with beautiful surroundings and the concierge made our stay so wonderful!
The pool was the perfect size for our family of five and we left time during our Costa Rica visit to just enjoy being together for hours on the patio. We were visited by macaws each morning and a group of squirrel monkeys came to play in the afternoon - a dream for our kids!
The house is in beautiful condition with comfortable beds and has everything you could need for your home away from home. We dream of returning!

Paradise! 100% Pura Vida!
We LOVED everything about the property! The view was AMAZING! We saw beautiful macaws, tucans and monkey, everything was perfecto for our family vacation of 6. The owners are very nice and responded to all questions in a timely manner. The refrigerator was on the fritz and the owners had a brand new one delivered before we arrived. The concierge Jorge is the nicest guy ever, and was on point 24/7...he answered all of our questions, and helped us set up excursions, and gave us great restaurant tips, and set up our covid testing at the house for our return back to the USA. The house keeper Margaritta is the sweetest, happiest person you will ever meet! We did not realized we could not use the property washer and dryer. Margaritta washed, dried and folded all of our clothes for us, and they smelled sooooooo good! She is awesome! We loved her!!!! Jorge & Margaritta are real gems!

Fishing Trip
The house worked great for our fishing trip. It is about 10 mins from the marina and the pool was so great after a day on the ocean. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. We enjoyed having Deago cook up an excellent meal with the fish we caught and had to have come a second night as it was soooo good.

Great House and Stay
The house was perfect for us and offered great views of wildlife and the surrounding hills, as well as close proximity to Marina Pez Vela and all of the things to do in the MA area. The pool was a refreshing spot to cool down after a day of adventures. All of the house systems worked great including the air conditioning. Lara was great and made checkin/out very easy.
