Lovely staff, great location. Will be back!
The guests above/ next door were so loud until 1am...
Had to leave before the breakfast time of serving from 8.30...

Food was very good and pub had nice atmosphere
Television did not work and controller was thick with crime on back. Only had a bath, no shower and lots of cobwebs in windows. Also breakfast starts at 8am which was too late for me as I had to leave to get to work before 8 so had to miss breakfast which was included in price which was a pain.

quirky, great decor, amazing beer garden, good secluded parking - fantastic staff & best meal I’ve had for a long time
rooms were a little tatty - paint etc but was very clean and can’t be helped with an old building
3.0 / 5.0
staff were fantastic and helpful. good location. towels and linen were all clean and beds very comfortable
it was a bit tired - everything needs updating and it had a bit of a "sticky pub" feel to it. shower and bath and all fixtures and fittings felt very old and in need of an update

All the team were incredibly professional and friendly. Five stars with the service and welcome.
It wasn’t the end of the world but the showers thermostat was broken, so we were promptly iffrr we Ed another rooms bathroom. The one thing that stood out was that the building needs an investment into a better extraction fan.

Great staff.
Everything else. Not clean, not as advertised, lacking most things, dark, hot upstairs and cold downstairs.

The accommodation was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The food in the pub was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The decor in the self-catering cottage needed refreshing. The bathroom had damp/mould patches and the sofas are worn in places. There was not enough crockery for 4 people and we had to wash some before we could use it.

Welcoming friendly staff . Warm . Cosy . Log fire.
Had a twin room when we had booked a double room .
Limited menu, several dishes unavailable/ sold out by 7 pm each night.

Atmosphere, food, staff, bed, toiletries and location were all fantastic! Perfect for a one night retreat. Also the room was lovely and warm.
Could hear a loud TV/ music walls are very thin but nothing can be done about that.

The room was absolutely stunning. This was a treat for my wife's birthday.
I took her to Bath for the Christmas Market. We had a 1 nights stay here and really enjoyed the food and the walks, we came with 2 dogs and were made to feel incredibly comfortable and our dogs were fussed by everyone.
We really enjoyed our time here, my wife lived our room with the roll top bath, it was very warm and comfortable.
There is honestly nothing to say that we didn't like.
One piece of advice for future guests, if you see something on the menu you like pre order it. I wanted the venison but it was sold out so then asked for the Pheasant pie which was sold out too. What we had was delicious cannot fault the food or service.

Great location to explore the cotswold are.
Food was great and the staff was very friendly.
Bathroom could use an update.
The road is quite noisy, I would recommend asking for a room on the garden side.

The room was very dark and no view but otherwise really comfortable and clean

the service and food were exceptional. we were really looked after they do a fab pizza in the pizza oven in the bar garden
not the fault of the property but it is remote and you cannot get a taxi for love nor money prepare to drive everywhere. you cannot walk to the arboretum concert 3 miles away down a fast dark country lane we didn’t risk it.
the bed was comfy but the room was a little dark could probably do with a table lamp to light up a corner when getting dressed
4.0 / 5.0
comfortable bed -food was good and so was the service - staff were really lovely
wasn’t anything not to like - was perfect for what I needed
3.0 / 5.0
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent if a little pricey. The room was a good size.
The room was very noisy being right on the front of the hotel with heavy lorries passing on the main road from 5.30 in the morning. The toilet cistern took 10 to 15 minutes to refill after flushing and the shaving light over the mirror in the bathroom was loose so we had to hold it when pulling the switch on an off. We had to ask fore with some milk in our room on arrival for a cup of tea and could have done with a refill the next day but we were too late getting back in the evening.

evening meal was good, nice pub feel. Room was interesting - quirky but comfortable
breakfast - OK but very limited and service rather basic
3.5 / 5.0
we were upgraded which was very nice and gave us lots of space. the property has. sitting room, open plan kitchen, two bathrooms and three good sized bedrooms.
the kitchen and bathrooms weren’t up to the overall standard of the property - they weren’t bad, just not brilliant in terms of decorative standard. there were a few annoying issues with faulty sockets and bathroom fans. the kitchen needs updating. the lighting was a bit ‘random’ for a vaulted ceiling which made it feel quite dark.
