The hotel, bar, staff and room. Evening meal perfect.
A little bit scatty at breakfast. The first day was perfect then the Sunday and Monday morning was a little bit full and therefore were very slow and ran out of things but on the whole didn't really bother us as we don't mind waiting.

Location to town, friendly staff, great breakfast. Nice oldie bar lounge.
Though it was clean it really needs a lick of paint.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The ambience
Service at breakfast on Monday morning was not good

Excellent food, especially breakfast. Staff always cheerful and helpful. Good location and excellent parking facilities.
A walk in shower would have been helpful as I have mobility problems and will not use a bath shower for fear of slipping over.

Breakfast - there was plenty of choice and hot breakfasts were served promptly and were delicious. The waiting staff were excellent, bringing coffee as needed, very friendly and cheerful. There was also a good variety of options from the continental selection
We can’t think of anything. Staff were always friendly and helpful and happy to,oblige

amazing continental breakfast. very pleasant and helpful staff. the building has a lot of character and very good location for exploring the town. Good wifi.
being a period preperty, some of the room facilities, particularly the bathroom, were dated and could probably be renewed.
7.0
Comfortable and clean it’s close to everything.
Better stairs or lift

The food cooked was lovely. My husband and myself opted for burgers, I never go for burgers and they were so flavoursome. The breakfast was also lovely and the lady serving was lovely also
Could have been alot cleaner. Room 24, coffee or tea stains on walls, floor sinking which creaked everytime someone got up for the bathroom. Seems very dated but good for the value I suppose. Previous people that stayed left a charger at the desk wall which had fallen down. Cleaners should have found this just shows its a quick in and out

In main hotel with amazing view of the abbey
Would have liked a bottle of water in the room.

Location is good, Tewkesbury is a beautiful town, that's all. Glad it was only 1 night.
Our room was very tatty and tired ,needs a complete revamp, bathroom is ridiculously small and dirty, I couldn't bend over the handbasin it was so close to the radiator which if on would burn you, in fact it would be a safety hazard. The shower was disgusting the shower rose was gunged up and sprayed in all directions. I couldn't find a parking place because they have a ticket machine that allows anyone to park, they offered me a ticket that would allow me to park my car in a caravan site car park further down the road. They know how many people are booked in they should have allocated parking spaces for guests only. Would benefit from a stay over by a Greene King director , there was a constant dripping sound all night in the room it wasn't a tap, Room 21. Over priced. Avoid at all cost . As a Booking .com Genuis level 3 I expected better. We couldn't get a table for dinner they were fully booked but that was no loss, there is a lovely Italian restaurant down the road. I would definitely not recommend this establishment, keep searching.

Lovely breakfast. Near the Abbey and River.
Bed was comfortable. Also an iron and board in the room.
No cold water coming in the shower. Had to run the cold tap in the sink for a very long time to get cold water.

Location is very good. Room size is spacious with a good sized bathroom with walk in shower. The car park is free. The building has lots of character and history. The staff are excellent

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect, just on the edge of the town center.
Breakfast choices were varied and portions were a good size.
The hotel lounge was busy (live singer played on Friday evening) and had a good atmoshere.
The only (very minor) bit of negative feedback I gave the receptionist when checking out was that the hotel bar didnt have any stock of Brandy.
She advised there had been a problem with their stock order.
