Last minute stay

Good location, easy to find. Quite a basic room but plenty of space. Good value for money

I didn't like the bed. It was in very poor condition and requires an upgrade

The host was great, we were running late and he stayed until

The bed was good and parking was right outside our room.

There was no tea towel. The shower floor needed to be rinsed before we used it. Pillows were a bit hard for me.

Handy to the showgrounds, staff are super helpful and friendly

The staff were very friendly and super helpful, It was really handy to the event we were attending at the showgrounds

Disappointed.

It needs an update. Simply things like a welcome pack. Disappointing as we were there for work and had a formal event. Power points and lighting in the accommodation was not up to a high standard.

As above but overall it was disappointing. For 2 professional females the facilities was not great.

Great staff and location, but is more rundown than I was expecting

Location was excellent for me as I was working at the Auckland Showgrounds, just 1 block away. Supermarket and Joes Garage within area too. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I froze! There is no proper heating in the rooms and with exposed windows in the ceiling there was no point in trying to heat the room. The carpet was ruined and lifting. I felt like I was going to trip over when I walked around the room. Difficult to see in the bathroom at night as only 1 small light. Generally run down.

Low standard of accommodation would not recommend

It was an easy commute to get to Greenland but it would have been better to find somewhere else.

The room was dark and smelt musty . The was only one small window in the entire room including bathroom and kitchen. The decor is badly dated with the bed and couch showing signs of age and serious sinkage in the mattress and couch. There were no bedside tables and the bathroom was in poor condition and really needing a renovation to get to motel standard and the 20th century. MIrror in bathroom was stained wth grey black splotches over it… these continued to the basin area and the vanity door was warped by water and breaking down. There were no fans and the heating was a plug in appliance. Also there was no phone in the room or way to contact reception or call out. The room felt dingy and dirty would not recommend. Then there were the neighbours who were having domestics through the afternoon and then partying with loud music through the night…. Not a place to stay if you want to rest at all. Ceiling rafter was broken, pint chipping everywhere… only good thing… good water pressure and bath was ok…

It served it purpose.

Had to rebook with the motel itself. 4 people instead. Given penthouse suite. Not good and the room smelt. Rebooked to ground floor. The motel was nothing like the photos. Very unkempt and needs a refurbishment. Unfortunately didn't take photos.

The location was handy

The room was dated, carpet worn, drapes dated and poorly hung, room was old and cleaning was poor. Rowdy neighbours. Very poor value for money.

Will not return for another visit.

Air conditioning in room and ceiling fan above bed, plus location was very close to Showgrounds (our reason for staying in Greenlane).

Tap in bathroom worked intermittently. Shower head was very fine mist that went everywhere apart from where you needed it. Ceiling in toilet covered in mould. Fridge controls not working (froze the milk even on setting 1), cooker hob only boils on rear ring (controls don't work).

The pool wasn't clean so we couldn't swim. The toaster was broken, the TV didn't have much channels to choose from....

Cleanliness to be a priority

It was a last minute booking - Could only get this space for my Parents, neice & nephew and my daughter.

My family wasn't too impressed -said it wasn't clean, insects were found so my mum made sure to washing everything in hot boiling water, mattresses are old as the covers came off. My dad had to go ask for toilet paper, not sure if there was any cleaning services through out the day? Because they would leave and come back and crumbs still on the floor so wasn't vaccumed. Overall the family room was average the windows up top need a clean and mould is visible - cleanliness should be your top priority especially if kids are staying in these rooms.
