Die Kombination Lage, Optik, Qualität und ein hervorragendes Personal hat uns total überzeugt!
Absolut empfehlenswert!
4.5
Room and location superb. Breakfast excellent.
Wasps could be rather annoying sometimes. Perhaps natural remedies against them could be used, such as 'live traps'.
4.5
Beautiful location, tranquil and serene. Lovely rooms, with an individual character. Excellent breakfasts. Very friendly staff.
Almost faultless, the only small issue was the plumbing in room 3 where occasionally the hot water supply failed, possibly due to the proximity of the kitchen? But really everything was to be loved.

The overall design of the hotel reminds me of a pure Mediterranean house, even a "Mas" with several dependences, cozy and charming, lime alike ocher walls, with very qualitative materials (solid wood, pink granite, pebble stones) and warm lights. The hotel is decorated with taste, a lots of seawashed woods furniture, everything fitting with the atmosphere. Neither over fancy, nor shallow. There's a feeling of authenticity.
The location is stunning, less than 10 minutes walking distance from the marina, not far either from the historical village. Mort than the location itself, the surroundings are terrific. The access to the sea by the beautiful garden of soft touch grass, olive trees, pines and beautiful flowers, as well as the private fine sand beach is making this place feeling like a hidden jewel . The jasmin walls will spread a wonderful smell on the terrace while you'll be having a great meal in the restaurant (bistronomic philosophy and led by a very skilled Italian chef) with a 180° scenery view on the Porto Vecchio bay. Having delicious breakfast with that view under the soft shadow of a pine and feeling of the light sea breeze on my skin will remain in my memory for a long time. The quietness of the spot only harmonized by the chirping birds and rythmic wave's lapps will terminate to build this heavenly atmosphere where all of your senses are deeply satisfied.
The room was lovely, very well decorated, repeating the warm and cosy atmosphere of the hotel, the bed was extremely comfortable, we loved the heavy blanket making you feel like in a cocoon and the pebble stone shower that gives you a pure and very mineral feeling. Almost like in a sauna, but in your own shower.
All that said, it is still nothing compared to the staff amability that was one of a kind.

really nice resort-style hotel. perfect location at the see but in walking distance to by all restaurants and cafés in the old town. but most of all the staff at the front desk was so nice and helpful (a special shoutout to Celine and Amandine who were charming and professional!!).
only thing i did not like was the fact that I had to check-out at some point…

Beautiful property, terrific location and warm and capable staff!
3.5
The staff was very warm and welcoming.
The bed was comfortable.
No coffee machine in the standard room,
The shower didn't work properly
Overpriced and not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel.

Not really on beach but Port which has lots of stones to walk on to swim. Rooms could do with a fridge.

Hotel Le Goeland is in the most beautiful position on an estuary. It is very quiet but you can easily walk into the old city of Porto Vecchio. (Up a steep hill). There are other cafes and restaurants closer too. We did, however, hire a car as it would have been a shame not to get to the nearby beaches and towns (Bonefaccio). You could get to Bonefaccio by bus but not the beaches. We had a ground floor room with a small terrace - beautiful view of the water. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. The breakfasts are superb and being a gluten free vegetarian they did provide me with g/f bread. I would highly recommend the Hotel Le Goeland and would definitely stay there again.
The dinner menu could have some vegetarian options.

seaside
1) reservation restaurant seaside /garden was initially confirmed but cancelled few days before arrival in favor of a seminarygroup. lack of respect for commitments…i specially chose this hotel for the seaside dinner, pitty 😔
2)they suggested new restaurant shegara. the unpleasant restaurant roadside terras showed no interest in serving us unless the reservation. after 25 minutes we left our table. finally we had topdinner in center of porto vecchi restaurant casa corsa.
3)the hotel refused to give me the official billing “facture”. you have to ask “booking” to send you by mail. I made 100ths of reservations by booking.com, this is the first time the hotel refuse to ...

Helpful and friendly reception stuff. Nice garden near the sea. Good location in the port.

A charming hotel in an attractive waterside setting with attentive young staff, a very good buffet breakfast & exceptionally comfortable beds. The 'rustic' decorative style is quite fun, but choose a room with a shower rather than a bath. A pebble-lined bath may look novel & attractive, but is far from comfortable!
The location is good too, with the marina-side restaurants approx 6-7 minutes walk away & the centre of the historic town around the same again. Would happily return to this return in future.
The automated coffee machine at breakfast offers a good choice. But - having tried most of the options - we were unable to find a coffee that was anything better than 'Okay'. Best to stick with the tea, for which there is a fantastic choice.
