Nice place with accommodating hosts

Very nice place to stay with a great breakfast. The hosts were very accommodating, especially when helping us with a slight problem with our bathroom and upgrading our room as a result.

Superb

A beautiful riad in the Essaouira medina.The rooms are nicely and accurately arranged. Great breakfast, with very tasteful jams, crepes and orange juice. Staff was helpful and kind. The property is very quiet also if it is placed along one of the more crowded roads of the city.

Authentic and Peaceful Stay

I was late for checking in and they showed tolerance, they waited for me until 12:00. They provided a heater to make the room suitable for my baby daughter. Thanks, Abdullateef! The room was quiet and comfortable. We had a nice breakfast in the morning and the manager spent all his effort to make us feel well. Sorry to forget his name. He was a kind man and the hotel made us feel so peaceful with all its authentical structure.

The showers and second-floor bed were dusty. If you have a small baby or have problems walking, note that you have to walk around 300-400 meters from the nearest parking place. You cannot park in front of the hotel.

Lovely place to stay, recommend 100% !

I travelled with my mom and we loved everything about the place! From the kind and very helpful staff, to the decoration of the place. Rich and good breakfast. Comfortable and clean place. Excellent location. Amazing vibes and nice terrasse to chill. I can only recommend for a great stay in Essaouira. Thank you Caverne d’Ali Baba :)

Very nice riad in the medina

The staff is super nice and welcoming, we arrived very late and it wasnt a problem at all. Communication was very smooth. The room is nice and for the 2.night we could swap it for a better one. Breakfast is big and tasty.

The rooms are quite damp and cold, they should put some heaters because during the night it gets cold now in december and the clothes get a bit wet too.

Greatly decorated, well located property, a bit noisy at times

The property is great and extremely well located, in the center, near stores, restaurants, cafes, and even the beach. It is awesomely decorated, with a nice patio where a delicious breakfast is served. Our room was quite big and it was cleaned every day. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They came up with a solution for every issue we had and were always at the property. There is parking close to the property, a short 5-min walk, in one of the main avenues. We recommend also visiting the restaurant that's on top of the property. The decor is amazing and the food is quite good. We would stay here again.

Our room was next to a busy street, so there was quite a lot of noise, as there is no insonorization in the rooms. We found the mattress to be a bit hard. There were no toiletries and the shower is waterfall only, which can be a bit unpractical. They didn't have wifi due to an issue with the network provider, and they couldn't solve it during our stay, however, they decided to reduce the amount we pay to make up for it and that was more than okay with us.

Location was excellent.

The shower was awful, and every time I used it the room flooded. The complimentary toiletries were two bars of hand soap. Thankfully I bring my own. The place would benefit from a decent clean. The ventilation was poor, the room was damp, there was no fridge or air conditioning. For the price paid you would expect better facilities anywhere in the world. It was not good value for money, other than a good location.

The staff at d'Ali Baba are just exceptional! They were so warm and welcoming. The room was cozy and the location was excellent. The hospitality was above and beyond and helped make our stay in Essaouira exceptional.

Beautiful and authentic

Stunningly beautiful place with an authentic traditional Moroccan feel. The riad is an absolute gem. The location is fantastic. The beach is approximately a 5 minute walk and the market is only about a 2/3 minute walk. The breakfast was typically Moroccan. Very simple and yet yummy. The staff were really friendly, lovely and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Essaouira to stay here. It's worth it.

Amazing riad in Essaouira

The riad is extremely well located in the medina, the owner is super nice, the riad itself is very cute, to resume we had an amazing stay at la Caverne d’Ali Baba! We’ll definitely recommend it.

In the heart of Essouira

Very nice riad, with beautiful rooms, in the centre of Essouira. Breakfast was tasty and the personnel was helpful and nice.

The shower needs to be changed because it’s old and didn’t work well.

Really beautiful and typical place in the center of the Medina.

The riad is beautiful, the decoration was very typical. The staff was very friendly. Our room was beautiful too.

Our room was clean but not super clean. We found couple of hairs in our bed and the sheets, while being clean, were not really practical to use as the mattress was really big and thick.
