Péssimo, não consegui ficar mais que um dia

Para os viajantes de hostel, não é uma boa recomendação. Quarto condição péssima e fedido. Cozinha suja, sem condições de cozinhar Banheiro sem ventilação e com arranhas por causa da umidade. O local tem mal cheiro, quando pedi um bom ar pra colocar no quarto, não tinham. Não vale a pena.

A forma como o dono cobra as diárias, muito sem respeito pra falar. O local tem mal cheiro.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, good kitchen, really good value overall in a classic local town house.

Lampshades or other lightbulbs would improve the ambience.

The hostel is at a great location, on walking distance from the docas, the ver-o-peso market, and other tourist attractions. The staff is super friendly, WIFI is good. The hostel does not offer breakfast but there are different local places nearby for breakfast, including the various market stalls that offer café da manhã. Rooms are very basic but do feature air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower. At USD 15/night, do not expect a Hilton, but if you are searching for a cosy, friendly hostel at a central location in Belem, this is great value for money.

Bed sheets were quite old and worn out.

Almost nothing. Except for being good looking on the outside and having a very good location, the hostel is very very bad!

Do not believe the pictures posted by the property on Booking! Underground bedrooms are very bad, all the spaces are dirty (you almost cannot touch the bathtoom doors!). Bad smell everywhere, including the kitchen. Awfully neglected hostel.

Old house, very basic, but with air-conditioning

The room had an air-conditioning and the bed was comfortable, the wifi worked well. There was a shared kitchen available to use. There is a large supermarket not so far, and very close to the riverside.

The whole building is an old wooden house, the room window doesn't actually have a glass, so you have to chose either natural light, or heat and mosquitos. We could hear our neighbor in the bathroom as loud as he would be in ours and when he flushed the toilet our toilet was bubbling up. Some of the kitchen utensils are very old, we didn't find a usable pan to make some eggs, the fridge is not cold enough/freezer doesn't work and it's very dirty and messy. The water pump is so loud, if it starts working early morning you won't be able to sleep.

no breakfast, but rooms are fine, own bathroom, internet was good, air conditioned room staff friendly; common room; equipped kitchen; excellent central location.

Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere

The location is close to the city centre and a walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the water front...

The entire building is literally rotting away... Entire sections of the ceiling above my bed were so badly molded that it is caving in. The levels of mildew are so bad that it's literally difficult to breath. The beds were incredibly dilapidated, and bedding clearly not cleaned properly (I used my own liner)... I tried asking for a different room, but the one they showed me was even worse.... The shower room was literally blackened, floors and walls leaking, and with an overbearing stench.... Elsewhere, there is a lobby, but unfortunately only one fan, so if you aren't lucky you will be sweating within minutes of trying to sit and 'relax' in this hot box. The kitchen had blocked sinks and pots with unused foods lying around for days... The WiFi didn't reach many parts of the hostel, including my room.... Other than one member of staff who tried his best, no one else has even pretended to make an effort at speaking any language other than Portuguese (I speak five...)
