Smooth sailing

Great location, although it was on a main road the units were quite. Host was friendly and made everything easy. Would stay again. Units are older type but very clean and had everything you needed.

Basic motel priced accordingly

Easy parking. Full stove to work with Heater heats lounge nicely Electric blankets Milk offered when book in Close to town

No water pressure. Couldn't get all conditioner out. Uncomfortable couch No dnd sign Info in 3 different places Small tv which you have to manually turn on/off. Says view but none Bathroom and kitchen windows won't close

Not applicable as they do not do brekfasts

I felt bad as I could not maneuver my car to exit the place and drove over lawn. Its fine if the last motel unit had no car parked in the parking spot because it would give more room to make the turn.

Room was clean and tidy, enjoyed my stay

The room was comfortable, loved the shiny lino throughout the place.

The kitchen stool were a bit unsteady for my self as I am not a small person needed to have a higher chair to get out off for anyone like myself with arthritis

Fantastic, bike friendly and exceeded our expectations.

We arrived by bicycle. The owner very kindly stored our bikes securely in the shed. The room was lovely and clean and it was an easy walk to town. Would definitely stay again.

Location is great but the 1970s room is very disappointing, needs a complete updating refurbishment

The location was excellent

The room needs updating, the bed blankets (not sheets) needs washing, they have not been laundered for a very long time and are unhygienic. The kitchen draws stick close. The water from the shower is a trickle and the whole bathroom/kitchen is straight from the 1970s. The bed mattress is way passed its used by date and is sagging into the middle. The TV is very small (18in I think) and you need to sit directly in front of it to see it. There are no electrical sockets next to the bed to charge the phone over night

Very good

This is a perfect location, close to town, attractions and pathways. The room was fairly basic but really clean and fresh. It was also more spacious than expected. The host was welcoming and helpful. My sister and I loved our stay here and will be recommending this motel to others.

although the motel is tired and needs refurbishing, it had everything we needed and was roomy with two bedroom areas and

close to river. nice view. Town not too far away. Good price and very roomy.

everything was ok but I would encourage the owners to get new blankets and bed covers as the ones being used are old. the sheets were nice crisp cotton.

Excellent value, location and service

Amazing service. The motel owner was super friendly and welcomed us with a smile after a long day driving. The information in the units on Wanganui and the motel is incredible as gave us a great insight into what was on offer

Very good

While a bit dated, this is comfortable, very spacious and clean motel. And excellent value for money. I have stayed here several times and will stay there again.

Superb

The unit was very spacious, quiet, clean and very good value. The location is ideal, a leisurely walk into the cbd, to Kowhai Park, to the Riverboat Centre, and the wonderful riverside market. The owners are friendly and helpful. We have stayed here before and will do so again. It's everything you need at a reasonable price.

Adequate and as expected for the price.

Despite being stuck in the 1980s, this motel is perfectly adequate for a short stay. I've stayed before and will again. Friendly staff, clean, great location beside the river. And above all, cheap!!

The décor was dark, gloomy and depressing. The shower was a trickle and very dark. Lost in the brown paint era...

Perfect stay

Location was perfect, not far from centre of town and the river just directly across the road, room was just a bit bigger then I expected.

Only thing that comes to mind are the showers being a little low and soft water pressure

Great spot by the river, close to town

Great place near the downtown ( drive, or decent walk). Everything there I needed, I even cooked breakfast!

Wanted to charge my car, but someone else took my park! First world problems!

Great location, good for couples, has a very friendly cat!

Lovely location, nice and quiet, friendly staff, also had a lovely friendly cat called Bear, which was a nice touch. Nice motel. Would recommend.

We will definitely be looking up Riversdale Motel for future visits to Whanganui.

We did not have the breakfast. Fantastic location with direct access to the main travel routes. Very reasonable prices for the scope of facilities.

The facilities suited us all just fine - as grandparents with our daughter, a seven year-old grandson along with his four year-old sister.
