This is a little piece of heaven. The house is decorated impecable, the outside balconies, fire pit and dock to the water are gorgeous. We kayaked and swam several times during our stay and absolutely loved every minute. The property feels like you are in a wooded retreat but really very close to get to town.

We had a fabulous time at this beautifully updated home. It was so peaceful and right on the lake. We enjoyed floating in the lake and kayaking. It was just a short drive to the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

I traveled with my husband and young child. The house had plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen and fun games. It was a great space for our family.

We were so very comfortable during our week. The home is lovely, clean, and in excellent condition. Nothing needed repairs or attention. We hope to stay again in the future.

This was our 2nd visit to Stonehaven. In my experience, the second visit to a vacation destination rarely lives up to the first time. Stonehaven was the exception to this. My sister and her family came up from FL, and joined me and my family. It was the perfect space for our reunion, with plenty of gathering areas, as well as spaces for quieter times. The house is very clean, and beautifully decorated, and the lake view is absolutely gorgeous! Denise provided plenty of extra touches, too, which we really appreciated, and when we requested the a/c setting be raised a couple degrees, she was quick to accommodate our request. Lastly, the checking in and out process at Stonehaven is much easier than at some other places I've stayed in the past. Things like that really matter when you're struggling to get your kids and belongings organized and out the door in a timely manor. I could go on and on!
I'm already planning our next visit! Highly recommend!

The property was beautiful and perfect for my family. We were visiting prior to the graduation ceremonies and wanted somewhere to relax and spend time with the Clemson graduate. We had plenty of space and the house was immaculate. The host was extremely responsive to the few questions I had throughout our stay. I definitely will return!

This property is absolutely beautiful! Me and my girls had the best time visiting around the fire pit and remembering the good ole Clemson days! Denise and Brad are wonderful people and maintain a clean and comfortable home. It truly was the perfect place for our reunion- we haven’t all been together in 25 years!!! Will rent this home every time!!!

We rented this property for a weekend getaway with our high school teens and college aged kids who attend Clemson. Our college kids spent the days with us. The outside space at this house is excellent. It rained the entire day on Sunday of our stay, but we all were able to still sit outside and enjoy the view and each others company. Our age group worked perfectly for this house. One of our college kids had recent knee surgery so she could not get down the spiral stair case. However, she just opened the side door and came down the outside steps to sit outside with us. I saw several reviews about the stairs. If you have very young children or older folks on your vacation, it may be an issue. It was not for us! My son kept saying, "You should buy this house!" We had a great time here. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

This house is beautiful. The furniture and finishes were very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked. SUPER clean. The outdoor living spaces really made this house special. The only consideration would be, if you have small children you would need to be aware of the safety concerns with spiral staircase and the railing to the top floor. There are large enough gaps between the rail posts that a child could easily fall through.

From the moment we stepped foot on this property we knew it was a perfect pick. We were looking for a quiet, lake front property to spend some time with friends. Denise and Brad’s home was beyond perfect. The house was beautiful (inside and out) and the view was breathtaking. We spent our days on the beautiful lake behind the house and our evenings were spent on the lower back porch and by the fire pit. The house was equipped with almost anything and everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with cookware and all the prepping tools required. The whole house was very clean and organized. Denise and Brad were very accommodating and had great communication. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Having recently returned from a 2 month military deployment, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a getaway trip without the kids, for some rest and relaxation. The Lakehouse on Lake Hartwell (Stone Haven) provided just that. The house was beautiful, with spectacular views and convenient lake access. Also very clean with lots of little "extras". It's close enough to various small and larger towns to provide lots of options for things to do aside from time spent on the lake.(And of course there's Clemson! Go Tigers!) We plan to return with our 2 daughters as soon as possible. (There's ample room.) Cannot recommend enough!

I’ve been wanting to write this so others could take note before booking. When we arrived I was taken back by the location. FYI, A few doors down are multiple houses collapsing and trailers which look like they've been left. Directly next door on both sides are fine. When you arrive it was very easy to navigate getting in BUT if you have any older family staying with you they cannot climb the extremely narrow spiral stairway to the basement area. There is a pad on the basement ceiling bc one can hit their head going down. As you are climbing down the stairway you look straight into large holes opened up in the floor/ceiling between the levels, its difficult to explain but you would see it if you visited. Unfortunately, the second bathroom downstairs is the most updated so have the smaller folks use that one. We went over Thanksgiving and the thermostat is controlled by the owner and this was a problem. None of us wanted to stay downstairs bc it was freezing, a little dated, and the stairwell climb, we all stayed upstairs, which if you run the fireplace and the air reaches a certain temp the air conditioner then clicks on and the back bedrooms get ice cold but the open loft heats up. There was this cycle of hot cold all night until i called the owner and she kindly turned off the air. Bc there was a hole also behind the upstairs toilet (unbeknown to the owners) we had two roaches which came inside. I can stand any type of bug even snakes but roaches are one thing that absolutely makes my skin crawl. We got rid if the them w spray.
If I would have known about these little things I would have made a better informed decision about staying. Of course no one is going to disclose the location but the stairs were a big deal.
The place overall is decorated in a lovely shabby chic cottage and gathering outside around a fire pit was wonderful. The fog rolled over the lake in the morning which made for beautiful pics. Everything was clean and easy to use for we lacked nothing in appliances. The owner is wonderful and so very kind and accommodating.
If I had to do it again for our family I would choose a different location and a larger home but this would be perfect for a blended family w smaller kids who could stay downstairs. Hope this helps.

We had a wonderful time at the house, and the owners are extremely gracious hosts. This was our second stay there in 3 months, and we definitely plan to be back in 2022!

Super cute lake cottage! Perfect for a football weekend with friends!

We stayed here for a Clemson game.
Pro- The house is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the stadium; nice dock for kids to fish off of; relaxing porches to enjoy a cup of coffee on and soak in the view
Con- there is a tight spiral staircase to get downstairs, if you’re tall, you have to duck to be able to get up & down

Overall this was a great visit. The property is beautiful though we would have preferred at least one king bed. The access to the lake was ideal and the outdoor seating was great as well.
The only real issue was that we would recommend that the owners offer a few more basics to guests (ie toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags). These are essentials and quite cheap so I was surprised when we got there and there was a total of three rolls of toilet paper and NO extra garbage bags. Had this not been an issue we would give the property five stars. As it is I'd give it 4 1/2 stars. That said, the property owner DID communicate that only starter supplies would be provided (though again I think of toilet paper as an essential, and a cheap one at that). I was thinking of things like coffee which has often been provided to me at VRBO properties in the past.
We found ourselves a bit cold on the first night as the thermostat is locked, but a quick text to Denise solved this as she raised the temperature remotely. Communication with the owners was great.
Also, while this is a lake house on a lake known for great fishing you will need to supply your own gear if you'd like to fish. This is completely understandable though (not at all a criticism) and the provided kayaks were great!
Location wise, the property is close to Clemson (about 12 minutes from the University) as well as shopping in Anderson. We never felt far from anything. If you're there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday you also have quick access to The Smoking Pig, some of the greatest barbeque I have EVER had! It's only about five minutes away and highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our lake weekend with friends. Great quiet spot right off the main lake.

The lake house is super nice and updated with touches that tell you the owners want a great experience for renters. We loved sitting on the covered porch with a view of the lake.

So lovely and great layout accommodated grandparents and young children alike. We all enjoyed each others company while playing in the lake and relaxing.

This home was beautiful, well maintained and with some updated features. Its location on the lake was also prime if you are looking for privacy. The owners were very nice. Clemson Marina was also a nice marina to rent a boat. Very nice employees. I would rent this home again and recommend it highly.

This house met all of our needs and more. We took the kayaks out daily, fished off the dock, swam in the lake, enjoyed meals on the beautiful porch, and really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves! The views were phenomenal, and the weather was quite mild as well. The house was was perfectly sized for our group of 8 - 2 families of 4. The only thing that was a little bummer was that the loft was open. Since it was listed as a 4 bedroom, I had hoped the loft room was behind a closed door. This only mattered because the teens slept up there and the toddlers were up early every morning making it hard for the teens to sleep in! 😂 Everything else that was so perfect and wonderful about the house totally made up for this though! The cement pathway down to the dock is seriously a treat too. Makes such a nice clean walk down to the lake. If you rent this beautiful home, you have to wake up for at least one sunrise. The steam pouring over the lake is just breathtaking. You won't regret staying at this house at all!!

The cabin, lake, and location were perfect, the whole family was able to relax and we felt like we were at a summer camp. My kids loved jumping off the dock every day, the lake was peaceful with no boat traffic, and at night we enjoyed the fire pit with a firefly show!

Our oldest son wanted to visit Clemson, so we combined it with a family lake getaway at Stone Haven. It was fantastic! Everything our family needed to make most meals at home during our stay, lots of games to enjoy, and the firepit was also a hit. Enough space to spread out, but also enjoy being together. Comfy beds and couches too!

My family of 4 rented this lake house for a weekend. My oldest child & husband only had a convenient 15 minute drive to Memorial Stadium. My youngest & I stayed at the lake house & enjoyed playing board games (the house had tons from which to choose) on the well appointed, comfortable, pretty, lower porch. This house is located on a very peaceful part of the lake and the neighbors were very quiet. I can’t say enough about how clean the house was upon our arrival- and I’m very particular! The beds were very comfortable- possibly Tempur-Pedic mattresses. My children enjoyed staying in the loft bedroom, which also had very comfy beds. There is another bedroom on the basement level with the game room area, a large bathroom, & laundry room, as well as an exit to that lovely covered porch I mentioned. The spiral staircase leading to the lower level took some getting used to at first, but it was no problem for us. We would definitely rent this house again! Next time, I’d like to try their kayaks (if the weather was warmer) since the house is on a quiet part of the lake for that. We definitely got the peaceful weekend we needed. The only reason I gave the neighborhood rating slightly less than 5 stars was because it was very hilly & not really conducive to taking walks, which I had hoped to do. But with our short stay & how nice the house was, we had everything we needed & didn’t miss taking walks!

We enjoyed our stay at Denise's house! Dining outside, fishing off the dock and roasting S'mores around the fire pit was fun for both the kids and adults. The house was great! The kitchen had everything needed and the goodies were an added treat. Denise's recommendations for nearby Denver Downs and Smokin' Pig were a hit.

We loved this home. Communication with Denise was easy and the house was exactly as described. Lovely location, well stocked kitchen, and cozy! Los of room for family. We rented a boat from Clemson Marina which was fun and also enjoyed the kayaks at the house. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time. Spent a few days here relaxing as a family before dropping off my oldest son for his freshman year at Clemson. Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our time here. Denise and Brad have done an excellent job with location, amenities, and beautiful decor. We had everything we needed for a very peaceful stay. We would definitely love to visit again!
