Hotel has good location - 1 minute walking to the Main Street and 2 minutes to the ocean. The territory is great and quiet. Many families with kids.
Rooms are clean. We had extra bed for our kid.
They have kid chair in the cafe.
Swimming pool is clean. There are enough sun beds around. As beach is not good for swimming this area is lovely.
Menu for breakfast is very limited- mostly breads and eggs. We didn’t see oats, yogurts, muesli etc. Fruits they serve only with one type of breakfast which was a bit disappointing. They also don’t have good coffee and tea. Also service is not so professional: we had to wait always for quite long to get our order. It’s also allowed to smoke there - on the territory of cafe. That was not good as there are so many kids.
The electric kettle was covered in limescale.

Loved the location, the staff were friendly and nothing was a problem.
Just felt that the bathroom needs updating.

What an amazing place!
This hotel is located in an amazing location right near the beach, but tucked away enough that it isn’t to noisy.
The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Bali. The pool was perfect and the rooms were very large.
I have read other reviews re the bathrooms being sub par. We didn’t have an issue there is a shower over bath, which may not work for everyone. They’re definitely not the most fancy bathrooms, however they are still usable.
We will definitely be back to hotel segara agung!
If I had no be super picky the bed was a little hard but honestly there really wasn’t anything negative about our stay! :)

The location is superb as you can walk to beach restaurants and street cafes. Pool is excellent and breakfast very good. Old style Bali which we love.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. The pool area was lovely. It is in a very calm and quiet location but just a few minutes from the beach and bars. The room was basic but comfortable.
The wifi really needs attention here, it was constantly losing signal which may sound nit picky but we struggled to book grab taxis to get us around due to the poor connection.

Very close to the beach, good breakfast, lovely staff, wonderful pool and grounds.
Bed quite uncomfortable, could feel the springs through the mattress. Pillows very lumpy. Bad smell in the bathroom from time to time. Internet very patchy in the rooms.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was great, pool was great, beautiful surroundings and location. Breakfast was simple but good - toast, eggs, fruit - and they served pastries one morning.
The coffee could be better - but I think Balinese coffee may be an acquired taste!

Not my first time staying in Sanur. Been staying in different hotels at different locations with a different price tag.
Segara Agung is a great place to stay at, a tiny bit worn down but nothing new in here, we're in Bali and everyone takes things like that pretty easy. Pool is large enough to fit a few people, sun beds are spread around the pool, again with plenty of space for everyone to chill. Restaurant on site provides with breakfast and can also cater your needs in the evening with dinner, if and when you feel like not going out. It's located a few minutes away from the beach with tons of restaurants and very close to the town center too with even a bigger selection of restaurants. Really, location is superb!
Breakfast is hearty and healthy too. It's a buffet style breakfast with a separate 'egg station' as they call it here where you ask for the eggs to be cooked in a specific way. Along with that, you have a nice choice of oatmeal, cereals, fruits, juices, toasted bread, bacon and/or sausage and it all is included in price. Come on, you simply can't beat that!
Bathrooms are nothing fancy, so don't expect any luxury, but again, you're spending your well deserved vacations on the island. It's not your airport-type Best Western hotel ;)
The vibe is very chilled and people are very very nice! We had to move to Seminyak for a few days for business but only lasted a day and moved back to the hotel. It's a really sweet spot. So is Sanur in general.
Highly recommend the place! And keep Bali clean.
p.s. been staying in a deluxe room. Standard rooms are not that great, and are cheaper. If you have a choice, pay more, you'll get more.
Standard room we have initially been settled into wasn't that great. A bit worn down, bathrooms not that great.
Please renovate the rooms. Take them out of circulation and spend some time painting the walls and renovating the bathrooms. Clients are getting picky as the competition gets hotter.
Again, not such a big issue in the deluxe rooms.
