Bedden waren goed.

The room was great - very spacious and clean and comfortable.
We couldn't get into the hotel. There is no reception at the location itself and no one responded to us ringing the doorbell. Also our phone calls to the hotel went unanswered. We were lucky to run into another couple who told us we had to pick up on keycards at another hotel. When we arrived there and we expressed our concerns about not being able to reach anyone, the lady at the reception said she had problems with the internet (which is why she couldn't open the door of our hotel for us remotely) and was simply too busy to put up a note to inform travelers what to do. Very little empathy there.
Hotels without a reception should really have a reliable fallback in case something doesn't work with technology.

Nice, clean room
Not really „not like“ but a slight deduction for the smartphone based room key which in my case wasn’t a problem, since I have EU unlimited Data and an affinity to all this tech-y stuff, but if my wife would have come alone it would have been extremely frustrating for her to handle all this download/upload process for the room key. Also that the entrance door needed quite a forceful push to open would have been intimidating for her. So this Hotel is not recommended for old school guests.Found the breakfast also slightly underwhelming considering the whopping 22€ per head. But as I said, 4 out of 5

V central location. Old mansion in historic part of the city. Clean . It has a great feel to it and would be wonderful if you are travelling as a couple. Cozy nice place
No staff. Self checkin. Room key comes through an email from booking.com and that took forever . No staff is available at the hotel but at the sister hotel . No elevator in case u need one

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Boutique Hotel Sint Jacob in Maastricht, Holland. While the hotel's location is undoubtedly attractive, my overall experience fell significantly short of expectations, leading me to reconsider future visits.
The hotel sits nestled in a beautiful part of the city; however, getting there was a challenge. Even with the help of Google Maps, the navigation could have been more straightforward, and the hotel could provide no assistance in this regard. This, coupled with a lack of disabled access, severely hampers the hotel's accessibility, which was a significant disappointment.
Another challenge was the absence of an on-site staff at this hotel, managed by a company that operates two properties. If you need any help, guests must go to the other hotel. Moreover, there was no welcoming staff upon arrival, which detracted from the overall guest experience.
The hotel employs a sophisticated phone-based system for door access. While innovative, it caused trouble when my brother accidentally left his phone inside the room. Instead of receiving immediate assistance, he had to travel to the other hotel to fetch a key card. This inconvenience could have been easily avoided with better on-site service.
Upon entering the room, we found trash in the bin, signaling a lapse in cleaning. A towel with a hole in it and a showerhead that wouldn't stay put added to the list of room-related issues. The poor quality of the internet within the room further diminished the experience.
The hotel's breakfast service could have been more organized despite having a team of three people. The eggs were poorly cooked, and the silverware was old and stained, which made the meal less enjoyable.
In summary, while Boutique Hotel Sint Jacob boasts a fantastic location, several areas need immediate attention. From accessibility to staff availability, cleanliness, maintenance, and food service, these elements currently detract from what could be a wonderful

A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. This was our first experience of having a digital room key emailed to us and used on the mobile phone. It worked perfectly. Others in our party requested a physical key card which can also be provided. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.
It was all good.

Very dirty bathroom with LOTS of mould on and around the windows and fixtures.
VERY expensive breakfast that was definitely not worth the money or any money - 39 euros and no hot chocolate or toaster or any hot dish except eggs.

Property was nice and well positioned. We had a room at the rear of the property with a nice view. The room was big and well appointed.
The wooden floor could have been swept during our week long stay as it was inevitable that bits would come into the room on our shoes especially with it being carnival.
Each day as part of the clean a fragrance was sprayed in the room - we think on the bedspread which made me cough a lot! We opened the windows to air the room.

This small boutique hotel is an absolute gem. The room we got was a beautiful attic room with slanted ceiling. It felt very cozy. The bathroom offered a bath tub which was great. The location is perfect and central. We had walking distance to the city center, the Christmas market and the shopping district. The staff was friendly and check in was smooth. Would stay again!

The location in the centre of old Maastricht is brilliant, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good.
The lack of tea making facilities is somewhat disappointing to English tea lovers.

beautiful interior design - vintage feeling
rarely saw a member of staff; no other facilities other than a room to sleep and breakfast. Hotel was not very clean.

Location is amazing. Nice room with small refrigerator.
Shower in bath. Restrictions on check-in time. Could do with more coffee cups.

Great location in the middle of the town. Endless number of restaurants within 10mins walk. very interesting town to walk around. Good breakfast, good WiFi.
Slightly querky access arrangements worked well, when understood. Electronic keys provided for access to the hotel and the room. smartphone essential. Well worth making sure arrival is before 17:00, so that the arrangements can be explained in person. need to book car parking using Q-Park to take advantage of the discount arranged by the hotel.

Great location. Good-sized room. Fridge in room is a big plus.
Airconditioner in room leaked water. I had to pay on arrival even though a pre-authorization had already been charged to my card (the pre-authorization on my card was only reversed the day after I checked in, causing me to exceed the limit on my card; would be better if no pre-authorization was charged). No bathroom mat given until last day, had to use a hand towel in lieu thereof. Towels had stains on them.

great location and nice bathroom
some things could use a bit of care or were in need of restauration
