About this house rental
Diephuys 14A is a completely renovated (2017) holiday home located in a very residential area in the heart of the historic center of Bruges, Unesco world heritage city. The canals with swans and boats, the picturesque market square and the Burg, the museums (Groeninge, Belfort, Chocolate museum, ...), tasty restaurants, bistros and cozy coffee bars are all within walking distance. The hip boutiques and nice interior shops that Bruges is rich, often located in lesser known, smaller side streets you have found from the Diephuys 14A!
The house is a typical Bruges house with stepped gable (hence the name!) and with its red façade immediately falls into the streetscape. The house has been renovated with respect for the authentic elements present and was furnished with an eye for detail on the one hand and with attention to contemporary comfort and luxury on the other.
Diephuys14A with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms comfortably accommodates 8 people (possibly with 2 babies); The whole house is always at the disposal of the guests. Besides Diephuys 14a, Diephuys 14B with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is suitable for 6 persons. Both self-catering homes can also be rented together for larger families or groups of friends. The house is not allowed to smoke and pets are not allowed. Free WIFI. Paying parking facilities in the street (max 4 hours) or in nearby underground car parks.
Holiday apartment Diephuys 14A
Once you open the front door and leave the typical Bruges cobblestone street behind you, you end up in an oasis of peace. Through the entrance hall - which is common to both houses - you end up in the private part of the Diephuys 14A holiday home.
Here you will first find a small sas with the stairs to the upper floors, a cloakroom and a separate toilet. From here you also reach the living space of the house. Decorated in warm shades of green & brown and renovated with characterful materials such as Moroccan zelliges and oak tresses, this room invites to cozy moments with family and friends. Enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner prepared or warmed up in the stylish, practical open kitchen (with dishwasher, oven, hob, coffee maker, ...). Napaing about a day full of discoveries with a good glass of wine in the seating area where there is also digital TV.
Via the stairs you reach the first floor where there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with double sink and rain shower and a separate toilet. The bedroom located at the front of the house, also called the Blue Room, is decorated in warm tones blue and gold with some colorful accents that come back in pillows and wall art. This room - suitable for 2 persons - is equipped with a super king size box spring bed with high quality mattress and real duvets & pillows for a peaceful night's rest after a day of strolling around in Bruges!
In the bedroom at the rear of the house there are 2 single box spring beds (which can be brought together to a double bed). Here there is also room to add a cot that is available on request, as well as high chairs. This room is more airy with some geometrical patterns in green and blue that give character to this room;
Via an intermediate staircase you then reach the attic floor of the house where you will find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with double sink, shower and toilet. The attic bedroom located at the front of the house invites to a blissful night through the combination of the light color pallet, the warm natural materials used for decoration and of course the super king size box spring bed suitable for 2. A baby cot can also be placed in this room upon request.
The bedroom located at the rear of the attic, also called the Green Room, finally offers 2 single beds to 2 guests; The dark shades of green used on the wall and in the linen, give this room a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

Our family of six adults fit comfortably in this stylish and charming vacation rental in Bruges. It exceeded our expectations with its cozy atmosphere and modern amenities. The location is on a quiet back street a few blocks from the bustle of the belfry square; with great restaurants and cafes nearby. perfect, allowing us to We easily explored the picturesque streets and historic sites; Bruges is an excellent spots for day trips (we toured Flanders fields and Ghent, an easy train ride away.) Els was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Overall, it was a delightful stay that made our visit to Bruges unforgettable.

From start to finish was just wonderful. Check in was so easy. All the instructions were clear and accurate. No issues whatsoever. Property was amazing. Beds were comfy and plenty of space for our group. WiFi worked great.

We had a great stay at Brugge, the house location is perfect, a few blocks away from city Center so it’s quiet but still close to restaurants and sights.
The house is very clean and well appointed, the manager Els even left us some water, wine and treats for us (that we really enjoyed!!).
The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms are beautiful! Given that it is a three story house and that the stairs are really narrow and steep (normal in Brugge) I would be cautious when staying with the elderly.
Els was very responsive and we had great communication throughout our stay.
I definitely recommend staying there.
One minor thing, there is no soap in the bathrooms, I told Els he might consider providing some as no one travels with bar soap.

An ideal property for any family traveling to Bruges. It had the perfect sleeping arrangements for our group, is in walking distance of town, and was decorated for Christmas (an unexpected bonus). Will definitely be come back!!!

This property is lovely. The location is perfect! You can walk to everything in Bruges with ease! It is 3 levels, which is normal for Europe! We had a couple of issues with wifi and the TV and the owner addressed them immediately. My only actual complaint was that there was no soap of any kind provided, which given the Covid situation seemed like something that should be readily available. When I asked, the owner provided some. This was a great space for my family, the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The owner was lovely and we enjoyed speaking with her! I highly recommend this spot for anyone that would like to stay in a beautiful place in the heart of Bruges!

Really enjoyed our time at Els’ property. It was as described. Worked for two families of 4 (4 adults and 4 teens). We even managed to make dinner for all 8 of us one night! Breakfasts were a little easier. Perfectly located a short walk from the city center. Loved our experience in Bruges!

The home is beautifully designed with an amazing location. We would definitely return. The only caution is the steep stairs for seniors or toddlers. We did fine with ages 6-70. We absolutely loved Bruges.

This apartment is beautiful- modern elegance in the middle of quaint Bruges town. The host was amazing- very responsive, even left a bottle of wine in the fridge for us to have upon our arrival!

Six of us stayed at Els’ beautiful home and it was perfect. The home itself is very well stocked, clean, and comfortable. The check-in process was a breeze. Els made herself accessible via WhatsApp and was quick to respond.
The location couldn’t have been better. It is in a safe and quiet neighborhood and walking distance to many restaurants and the plaza.

We are two families with young children, the property was perfect for us. Centrally located with easy access to local conveniences and all the attractions in the town centre. The property is really well set up - it worked especially well for us, a family staying on each floor and with their own bathrooms, plus a comfortable and well equipped living area - a really sociable place to celebrate Christmas together. Els has been an excellent host and the house is set up really nice for Christmas with some tasteful decoration. Nothing has been too much bother for Els in helping us and making us feel welcome at the property - the wine, water and delicious local apple cake were enjoyed greatly. Brugge has been marvellous! What a place to celebrate Christmas. Such a festive spirit and atmosphere. We found good places to eat and drink and staff were warm and welcoming to us wherever we went, even though we are a loud group with 4 bouncey enthusiastic 1-5 year olds. In short, the biggest recommendation we can make is to say, Brugge, Els, we WILL be back. Thank you for a great stay!

We are two families with young children, the property was perfect for us. Centrally located with easy access to local conveniences and all the attractions in the town centre. Amazing Weekend Getaway
I spent a weekend in Bruges with my husband and a few close friends, and we were absolutely thrilled with this apartment. The space and layout is perfect for a small group, everything was as-advertised and the host, Els, was very helpful and always responsive. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to see the central sights of Bruges - everywhere we wanted to visit was within walking distance.
