location
could not access the hotel —-not even to drop a bag —until 4pm!!!! They kick you out at 11.30 in morning. I missed a church weddding because of this and could only go to the reception

Coffee machine in lobby didn't work

Location was great and room was big and comfortable
Cleanliness could have been better. Towels were felt a little musty

Amazing location, right behind the Chateau garden. Very friendly and accommodating staff, they let us check in at 12.30pm even though their policy clearly states 4pm. Filtered water dispenser (free), and half-decent coffee (1 euro) on the ground floor.
The property is old, so no elevators - which isn't a problem until you're lugging a 25kg suitcase up two flights of rickety stairs. The room was a tad unclean, and there was a giant spider in the far corner, web and all ;)

The breakfast was amazing.
Poor quality of beds.

a bit noisy from the road

Location is close to Chateau.
The staff is pretty disappointing. Cleanliness and maintenance is very average.

The owner was very welcoming. The bed was comfy and the room was adequate for a short stay. There was air conditioning, which was a welcome relief on a hot day with a window that we couldn't open. The hotel was well situated, very near the park and within walking distance of the castle. I would stay here again if the price was lowered by a third!
This hotel is too expensive for what it is. It is a perfectly pleasant two star hotel ; small rooms with thin walls, tired decor in the communal areas and a simple breakfast which was not worth 10 euros. Our room only had a sky light window, which we couldn't open, which was quite claustrophobic. The shower was not very powerful and there was no shower gel in the dispenser.

Breakfast was lovely..
We enjoyed the whole experience.

The location was really nice, close to cafes and shops. Right in the city centre.
There weren't any place to park on a street. The room was not sound proof and unlucky me, the family arrived next door around 1 am. The air in the room was really dry..

Breakfast was cheese, jams, and bread. Not eggs. It was okay for a day but would not get it more. The building and the rooms were not beautiful but it had a certain je nais se quois charm
Size of the rooms, beds.

location is great,
My rooms was old-fashioned, with a terrible roof window. Very poor comfort overall, the door seems to be in paper.

the room is nice and cosy but a bit small. i can manage it for a short traveling but not recommend for long stay
small and not recommended for a week stay in Fontainebleau

Clean, very decent bedroom for the price. Good location, near the city centre and the canal
The hotel is quite old, and you can see that in the carpets, walls, and blankets. Not dirty though, just old.
For me, the worst is that the cleaning lady comes at 10 AM, shouts and tries to open the door (with her key) and wants you to leave your room to clean it. All in French naturally.
So I was sleeping, she woke me up and forced me to go to the door to tell her that I did not want to leave my room to be cleaned in the morning. I don't think they understand that the reason that the checkout is at 11h30 is so that the hotel has time to clean after. Very disturbing, to be forced to wake up at 10 AM to tell a cleaning lady that I do not want to be forced to exit my room.
