Fantastic location and amazing front of house staff in the hotel and restaurant. So friendly. We have loved zooming around the city on the bikes, but we could also walk everywhere.
The beds were a bit too soft for our liking. It we are used to hard beds.

perfectly located, beautiful apartment with a nice view on the neighborhood. Cafes, coffee roasters, restaurants, bakery, amazing ice cream shop and shops very close by.
the apartment apartment has an air cooler, which is necessary in summer as the apartment is quickly getting hot if outdoor temperature is rising

Very cosy hotel and room, with a great view of the square. The owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and fuss-free stay.

This is a really lovely hotel just a 10 minute walk from the bars and restaurants of The Hague and situated in a vibrant square offering a fun alternative from the town. Really good value for money for a hotel of this calibre.
We didnt have much interaction with the staff as were staying in an apartment just across the square from the hotel itself but communication was easy and it was clear that they were on hand should we need anything at all.
Our apartment had very steep stairs but other apartments had elevators etc so just let the hotel know so that they can make suitable arrangements.
Overall a really good stay and one which I would recommend to those looking to explore The Hague and surrounding areas including Rotterdam which is just 20 mins by train.

room: more spacious compared to the size of an average hotel room. Location: great, a bit off the beaten track, with local vibe, with nice bars and restaurants. Breakfast: fresh ingredients and I loved the green tea :)

Perfect location, wonderful hosts. Beautiful, spacious and clean room. Lekker breakfast @Bayonne. We enjoyed our stay very much and would book again when returning to Den Haag. Thank you, Anuschka, for the tips and the really nice chats.

The hotel is located on a nice and cute square with restaurants and cafes. The room was very cozy and comfy. It seemed to be a family business, which made it even cozier and warmer. Liked it a lot!

Great location and lovely large and spacious rooms with plenty of light.

Second time we've stayed at this hotel. It's in a nice neighbourhood. (The Hague has lots of these!) Tram and bus links a few minutes' walk away. Bars and restaurants on the square, but you may prefer the selection elsewhere.
Apartment had rooftop views and plenty of sunlight.
Elevator in building (if a bit slow.)
We've yet to stay in a room we actually booked, so a bit tricky to rate this hotel. The apartment in which they put us this time was in separate building, and has a slow elevator, tiny toilet room, and roof beams to hit your head on.
Breakfast on the first day was a disaster: we arrived at 8am, they finally delivered food at 9am. We went to the (excellent!) Cafe Blossom up the road after that.
Overall, we felt we should be getting a better experience for the money. We'll consider other options next time we stay in the Hague.

Lovely small hotel right in the center of The Hague. Warm reception and comfortable, clean, quiet room despite being on the square.

Wonderful place to stay with family in the middle of the city!
Climbing up the stairs might be a bit tricky with a big luggage

Beautifully quirky and comfortable hotel well situated for all the city's attractions. Superbly comfortable rooms with every facility you need, and very helpful staff. Some great little bars directly opposite too, a choice of 3, all of which looked very inviting.
The stairs are a little noisy - some people came in and made a lot of noise around midnight and woke me up, so the soundproofing is a little inadequate.

very nice room, with a living room and a table for quick meals, nice decoration, clean and spacious, comfortable beds, large bathroom with towel heating system. 3 min walk distance to public transportation and to the peace palace

The hotel itself was truly a boutique place with only few but very nice individual rooms. we had the pleasure of a suite with a bubblebath in the middle of everything much to our daugthers liking.

The hotel was absolutely lovely. The room was both spacious and comfortable with large windows overlooking the beautiful square below. Anushka was so welcoming and helpful when we checked in. She showed us the neighbourhood layout on a map and highlighted a scenic walking route. She provided an umbrella for the rain that was forecasted, and then carried my luggage to our room.

The personal touch from the owner. This ensured that we did not need to carry bags up the stairs. Chatting with us from time to time. Helping us find our way around Den Haag. Helping us very directly when our baggage was lost by the airlines.
Nothing really comes to mind.

Breakfast is fantastic - highly recommended! :)
The staircases are pretty steep and narrow. For me being young and with little luggage, it was fine. But if you have a bigger suitcase and/or your're not so good on foot, you're in trouble...

Location is great, right on a lovely square with nice options for eating and drinking, and nicely located for getting around.

La Paulowna Boutique Hotel was an unusual good surprise from almost the first moment. One of those gold nuggets pretty difficult to find. Not only because being sometimes tired of a correct however impersonal attention you get from most of the luxury hotels around, we had at La Paulowna Hotel a human, amable and personal attention that makes you feel at home when being far from home; but also for its elegance and remarkable decoration. Definitevely we had a pleasant and comfortable stay there, and we are longing to come back soon.
