Lovely breakfast, had a very nice evening meal, friendly staff, good location to wander around Stow.
Nothing to say. You expect creaky floorboards and wonky floors in an old posting house which added to the character and enjoyment of the stay. If a little evening noise bothers you, remember to take some ear plugs!

There was nothing to dislike 👍🏻

there is nothing 4 star about this place - but for a few days it’s fine .. the staff didn’t seem that happy or friendly either .. the sunday roast was good but very small portion compared to what we are used to in london - hardly any chicken .. the bedroom was small up some stairs that would kill you unless you’re young and able and sober ! the pillows were so uncomfortable- defo need changing ! it’s was just alright really in general - breakfast was nice but eggs really undercooked rest was ok - only till 10am as well which is bit early for us
the pillows mainly

Location - Right at center. Parking - free parking with reservation at the back of the hotel. Triple bedroom (Room 7) is very nice. We stay during weekdays and it is quiet at night. Old design in the good way. Book a table for dinner.
Staffs were friendly.
Minor things - no power outlet for third bed.

Location is excellent. I have a passion for old and historic places. What a charming place. And Brooke, a staff member, was lovely and made her best to help us.
I loved everything!

A lovely traditional Cotswolds Hotel in a fantastic location right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and all the expected on suite facilities.
The staff were excellent very helpful and polite and a credit to the hotel.
The food was very good both at breakfast time and the evening meals.
The only minor improvement would have been a small wardrobe in the room instead of hooks on the wall.

Fantastic location in Stow marketplace with the added bonus of private parking behind the hotel. The hotel is packed with character and we were very well looked after by the friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great - freshly cooked to order - and we also enjoyed a good evening meal in the pub on the ground floor. Overall, a really nice place to stay in a historic building in the heart of the Cotswolds.
This is an ancient building so don't expect the boutique hotel room experience. Our room on the top floor was reasonably spacious but the bathroom was very small and the lighting in the room was a bit inadeqaute. The walls are paper thin so we could hear everything the neighbours were up to! The room is at the top of a very steep set of stairs so if you have any mobility issues ask for a room on one of the lower floors. These are only minor complaints and didn't spoil the pleasure of staying in a historic building.

Vey disappointed that the bar was closed on the Monday night I had to retire to my room at 7.30 with a bottle of wine I bought in coop I could have done this at home for £130 less

We were only here for 2 nights but don't have any complaints. The room was super cute, comfy bed and everywhere was nice and clean. The breakfast was DELICIOUS - hats off to the chef; the scrambled egg is phenomenal! We also had dinner here on 1 of the nights and found it to be super cosy. Massive shout out to the 2 aussie girls running the place (I wish we had got your names) - you were both so friendly and welcoming! Great base camp for exploring Stowe-on-the-wold & the surrounding towns. We'll be back!
Nothing.

The location
our room is located at the very top of the building and required a dexterous assent using three flights of narrow twisting stairs.

Great historic pub/inn in an even greater location.
Narrow, steep stairs and low ceilings in some rooms.
