We absolutely loved staying at Sidney’s Retreat. Location was close, walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Short drive to Scenic Lookout and to beautiful views of the Blue Mountains. Home was charming, lovely and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Wished we could have stayed longer!

A small little cottage filled with charm. The location was great and convenient. As mentioned before, the property doesn't have parking, however, that didn't affect the overall stay.

Cosy & convenient
This little cottage is conveniently located walking distance to the shops which include, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, bakeries, restaurants etc.
The beds were comfortable and there are beautiful floor to ceiling windows.
Easy communication with property manager, property clean and stocked with toiletries and kitchen condiments.
Just be mindful that there are stairs to access the cottage, no onsite parking (street parking available) and no washer/dryer.

Sidney's Retreat
Our family of 6 loved their stay. Close to Katoomba, parks, everything we needed. The details were lovely- coffee machine, soaps and shampoos, claw footed bath! Loved it.

Wonderful cabin close to town
The cottage has a cabin feel to it and is extremely cosy. A great place to spend time on the colder days and easy to access the mountains from.
Close to all of Katoomba’s conveniences but you definitely don’t feel like you’re in the middle of town.
Highly recommend.

Very pretty little cottage
We had a great time and just about anything you could want was provided. A few things let the place down, such as no parking and that we were asked to clean the fireplace before we left. Surely that should be done by the cleaner.

Lovely Vista Steps Away From Everything
We stayed at Sidney's Retreat whilst we were up in the mountains showing our UK family around and attending the music festival. It is well equipped, clean and so close to everything.

Such a beautiful place. The sun shines right on the balcony in the morning so lovely to have breakfast out there. Super clean and they provided us with a few things like coffee pods and shampoo. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk into the centre and a 20 minute walk to 3 sisters. Close to supermarkets too. Lots of parking on the street. Thanks again.

10/10, faultless. The place was even better than the photos. Incredibly convenient location, sparkling clean place full of character and a fantastic view. Plus, Jenny allowed us a late check out which meant we could cook up a beautiful big breakfast after a morning hike around the mountains. It felt like it was our home! We're already planning our return.

A Cozy Cottage
A pleasant warmly feel to the entire home, my partner and I loved the 2.5 days we spent here. Every amenity you need is supplied, excluding Wi-Fi - which is a 50/50 depending on who you are.
Situated in a little nook and out of the way from the main road, Sidney's retreat is a beautiful place to stay.
P.S. The beds & pillows were the best!

I last visited this property nearly 20 years ago and it’s still as charming as I remember. Warm and cosy and full of character.

Sidney's retreat was a delightful change from the hustle and bustle of the city! We loved the wood fire and the big bath great for thawing your muscles after a big hike. Fully equiped kitchen allowed us to cook all our dinners in the evening and the big back windows proved impressive for the morning sunrise. Don't be alarmed by the possums tap dancing on the roof as the wildlife comes alive in the night. We were worried about heating but the bed had an electric blanket and there was a great gas heater in the main room. Would definitely stay again.

Sidney's Retreat is just the loveliest getaway from the stress of everyday living! Immaculately clean and well cared for, our little family had the best time going for walks, sitting in front of the fire, playing board games and exploring the area. Super close to the amenities of Katoomba, but a world away once you open the front gate, I couldn't recommend it enough! Thank you!

Sidney's retreat is a lovely getaway from the city. Decked out in vintage Australiana and with a treetop view that you'll find it hard to leave. Our German shepherd had a great time sleeping by the fire.

Lovely property close to town
We really enjoyed our stay at Sidney's Retreat. The property is in a great location - a short walk from Katoomba cafes, has a wonderful view and is well set up. Jenny, the host ,has been lovely to deal with and we were able to arrange a late check-out without additional charge. It's not often that you can find pet-friendly accommodation that is so comfortable. We will definitely come again!

Relaxing, comfortable, idyllic getaway
We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Sidney's. Quiet, tranquil and relaxing even though you are only a 5 min walk to the main street of Katoomba with everything you need - supermarkets, cafes, bakeries etc. The house is well-equipped with beautiful linen and a functional kitchen. The view from the back is amazing. Highly recommend.
