Maintain the vibe 💯💯

Our stay at Moustache Hostel Varanasi was amazing. The hostel is located at a walking distance from Assi Ghat so you can walk and sit at the Ghat anytime you want. Even Kashi Vishwanath Temple is also 30-35 minutes walking distance away from the hostel so if you love to walk it can also be covered on foot. Special mention to Yash as he hosted us really well. He was very friendly and helped us with the itinerary, planning a return journey, good food recommendations and also maintaining a good social vibe in the common area. Also he was very professional and did a great job at making guests comfortable. The rest of the staff was also good. They have an in-house cafeteria where you can try their cheese chilli sandwich which I loved.

The washroom was clean and hygienic but it was very compact but it didn't affect the experience much.

A hostel where you can’t sleep in

The chef was super friendly and the food was tasty. The sundeck would be a nice Place to hangout bit blasting music deters you from hanging out.

I am writing this in the middle of the night while i have to get up am 4 am for an early train. The music is blasting right outside the dorms. The signs that say „respect the other guests - no loud music after 10“ not more than mere decoration. Staff couldn’t care less. If you need some rest after a long day of travel or have to get out of varanasi early this hostel is not right for you. I was willing to look over the loud music during the day ( where there is also no need for ) but after realising that i will have to travel 8 hours without sleep i am getting angry more and more. The blatant disrespect for others puzzles me. They have a beautiful common area which would be nice to enjoy after long day in the crazy city that is Varanasi. They also have a rather good cafe with good food. Which you also cant enjoy because someone is blasting the music. I was also willing to give some stars for the friendly staff until i got so angry that they didn’t do anything. Upside is: Location is superb. Would be a quite safe haven for travelers in busy and loud varanasi. Upside 2: there are more Hostels and Hotels in Varanasi. Go somewhere else.

The fans on bedside, they are non-adjustable and the lights on bedside have the same prb. Directly on face and also non adjustable

I liked the dorms and the common area was a great place to meet and interact with new people from various parts of the country and outside. The staff was very helpful.

Lot of scope for improvements.

They do not mention that they have non ac hours for their AC dorms. Their in house pantry is unhygienic and too costly. I would try some other place on my next visit.

Location isn't bad, but just a bit far from the main ghats. Still walkable distance. The ac in the room was on at night but not strong, and mosquitoes were a big problem.

Well-situated for Assi Ghat and the staff were helpful and friendly when I tried to check out early. Dorm beds each have a privacy curtain, plugs and a little shelf. There was hot water.

This place is crazy noisy, they have a social area where they blare music out throughout the day, which I found really irritating as it can be heard basically anywhere in the hostel (you can even hear it when walking on the steet outside the hostel). Having some quiet space to retreat to after walking around the bedlam of Varanasi is super important. That being said, there were lots of young Indian travellers staying here who seemed to be having a good time, so maybe it's just not the kind of place for me. Also, Wi-Fi didn't work and the bed sheets had some questionable stains on them.

Much better places for this price in city centre

Location is not bad if you want to be near the Assi Ghat for the sunrise; Bed is okay

The photos are cleary not in accordance with the place. The rooms are small and with a lot of humidity, seems there is no maintenance since a long time ago; Two toilets for more than 20 people; At 8 in the morning the staff starts talking very loud and nobody cares if you are sleeping or not; The rooftop is managed by the guests, they change the music and the volume of it as they want; We asked to wash our clothes and the guy at reception told us about the laundry service that will pick our stuff next day in the morning, nobody came and we ended up going by our own to a laundry service at the street.

Good

Whole property was clean and staff kept a watch that it remains the same. Beds were comfortable and the best part about the property is it's location. At a walking distance from Assi Ghat, one of the main ghats of Varanasi.

Washrooms could have been better and more. For a floor of atleast 30 beds, they just have two washrooms in all! Walls in the mixed dorm needs a little maintenance.

Nice experience. Avoid the top floor rooms if possible.

The staff is really nice and helpful. The location of hostel is close to 500 metres from Assi Ghat which makes traveling really easy. The neighborhood is very peaceful

The room in which I stayed is right next to common area. It was kind of noisy.

The staff was very friendly and the ambience was very safe to stay at. Yash was super helpful and also provided us tips for exploring, shopping, etc.
