There was nothing not to like . The location was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a banquet, and the people became friends.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Beautiful and modern and spotlessly clean. Peter and Helen and their staff are so accommodating and make you feel at home straight away. Nothing is too much trouble and Peter is such a sincere lovely person and so informative and helpful.
We loved everything about our stay.
4.8
Comfortable and very friendly hosts with an impressive breakfast and afternoon cakes.
Was all good

The hosts were amazing. Peter went out of his way to make us feel welcome and valued guests. The property exceed our expectations in every way. From the amazing hosts, beautiful rooms and even the lovely scented flowers outside. Food was great with a lot of variety and the daily cakes were delicious. All the little things were thought of and the property was spotlessly clean. A 10 out of 10 stay!
Could not fault anything

Peter and Helen are a lovely couple with an exceptional property. Rooms luxurious and well equipped. Breakfasts, cooked to order were superb. Location great. Helens cakes truly scrumptious.
Do not think anything could be improved upon.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of Torquay town centre.
The property was spotlessly clean and Peter, the joint owner, was friendly and chatty.
Breakfast was amazing. A huge choice of pastries, Greek yogurt, home made lemon curd, home cured ham, granola, cereal and much more. There was also a great choice of freshly cooked hot breakfast dishes available.
Very happy with everything.

Everything was amazing! Hosts are super lovely and have got a lot of knowledge about the area, there has been a cake in the afternoon for the guests (thank you Helen!), breakfast had a lot of options and could choose from cooked menu too. The room was nice and clean, with all the little touches and things you might need when on holidays. The location is perfect for exploring the area and only a short walk to the harbour. Spacious car park at the back of the house.

Peter and his team were extremely friendly and welcoming. Peter kindly helped us at short notice to get a table for dinner at a local restaurant. The location was great, just a short walk to the marina and beach. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh local produce.

Excellent Choice

The room was exquisite and comfortable, Peter and Helen were amazing hosts. The breakfast was fantastic, so much to choose from. Each room is differently styled to a high standard. The little touches were lovely, from nicely packed cookie's, chocolates and even bubble bath supplied.

Like to make a great shout out to this amazing little gem of a find.
I travelled from Norfolk to Devon for an overnight stay to attend my godmothers 90th birthday.
Nothing was too much trouble, allowing me check in early so I could spruce myself after a 6hr drive leaving home at 5am.
Then I got the time mixed up for breakfast and turned up late but was given a beautiful table in the window and served.
I would recommend this place to everyone and will definetly be my go too when I return - ( hopefully fly next time).
Stayed in the garden suite and slept like a baby.
Everyone went above and beyond..
What more could you ask for?
Nothing, everything was perfect. And being a perfectionist myself... Hard to please, that should say it all.

Fabulous breakfast, nice room, comfortable bed, plenty of parking and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Loved everything. We stayed in the garden suite, beautiful rooms and decor and spotless ( having been away to a couple of other hotels recently we found standards of cleanliness and housekeeping sadly lacking, but not here). Excellent breakfast. Brilliant hosts, even coming down to the car park to help with luggage......you don't get that every day. Daily cake in reception on your return from a day out.
Nothing at all

Great location, easy to access free parking, wonderful hosts and great food. What else could anyone need?
Nothing to add here - it was all absolutely excellent

The owner of the hotel helped us a lot with the recommendations around and helped to book the restaurant for the dinner.
The breakfast was fantastic, I would say the best in our journey.
The room and the bathroom was spacious.
The room is a bit worn out and the bed is too small for two.

the location
4.8
Hosts Peter and Helen were great and gave a lot of information on arrival about the property and the local area. The location was perfect for the shops and bars with only a five minute walk. We have to mention the breakfast. You could have as much or as little as you wanted with any combination. Hats off to the hosts and staff. Looking forward to coming back soon…
