Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in angenehmer Atmosphäre

Gute Lage, mit Navi leicht zu finden. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal, schöne Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick, eigene kleine Bucht zum Baden

Es war alles schön nur die Wände des Hotels sind sehr hellhörig, wenn im Zimmer oberhalb die Gäste auf und ab gehen, glaubt man sie haben schwere Bergschuhe oder Holzglocks an.

A piece of us stayed behind.

Where do we start!? Small hotel with a big heart!! Loved the short walk down to small pebble beach where we we met Fabio behind the bar. Breakfasts were good and the last evening of limoncello tasting was a bonus with the mother daughter team! Rooms well appointed and sea views stunning!

Its up a steep hill so not easy walk each time to town.And the buses they say run frequently we did not see. A nespresso machine in rooms would be nice.

The best value for money here.

The atmosphere, kind people, easy and respectful approach. The beach is very close, 2 min walk: one of the most beautiful beach of the island.

The interior of the hotel was crisp white with beautifully accented elements in aquamarine. I loved the the central glass light fittings and the beach-themed tiles in the bathroom. The breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Though the coffee machine was of a good Italian make, coffee didn't taste quite as good as when made by a barrister.

A nice place to stay and good location for Elba

Location: complicated to evaluate. It is on a hill 600 meters from the nearest restaurant. The climb can be tiring. If you have a car, no problem. If you are on foot, the good hotels on Elba are far from the main city of Portoferraio. There are others closer but not the same quality. All things considered, good location. Large room with beautiful view, good Wi-Fi and safe. Good breakfast, not delicious. It has all the basic items like bread, cheese, cold cuts, eggs, yogurt. Attentive and efficient staff.

Room safe can be opened with a standard simple combination of numbers. They should fix it as some hotels have this problem with their safes.

Nice location with a beautiful view, close to the city centre ; ideal for a few days break.

The newly refurbished rooms, especially the bathroom and the parking facilities

The common areas were a bit outdated, the need to pay for additional towels (eg. for the beach) and the very limited vanity kit, especially shower gel

A modern room with an appropriately “beachy” feel and a real beach a short walk away.

The room was quiet. The breakfast options were varied and abundant!

The room air conditioning could have been a tad cooler; the hot water in the shower a bit warmer. These are very minor details.

The best place in Italy!

The room had a fantastic view, the room was very quiet and convenient, the breakfast had much to offer, the staff was lovely and very helpful. Near fantastic beaches and a lot of nice restaurants in town. Best place in Italy!

A great and caring staff—The owner has done well.

Everything was fabulous. The hotel recently went through a renovation and they did a great job with every last detail.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. However, this hotel is located at the top of a very steep and hilly street. I managed the 15 minute walk up hill with no problem, but I don’t recommend anyone to try walking uphill if they are not used to doing that.

Stayed too long, few Napoleonic sites, market in Porto Azzurro awesome.

The view from the balcony was nice sized (no direct or easy access to the beach if that's part of your plan) but weather during our visit was unusually windy and cold so we couldn't use. We like to walk so the mile hike into town was not a problem. Bathroom was older and very small but the water pressure was ok and water was warm. Market in Porto Azzurro was awesome but cash only. Make sure to walk around first and compare prices before you buy at the first stall. Nice places to see in Portoferraio Elba but definitely do not need to stay overnight or more than one night.

Do NOT let the staff make reservations for you. They will say if they do it you will get special service because you are from the hotel. A reservation was made for us to a 'fantastic place call da Lido Ristorante' (http://www.ristorantelido.org) which was the worst food and worst service we have ever had in our global travels. Room smelled funny. Shower was so small, being 5' and 100 lbs, I had difficulty moving. Not sure how my 6'3" husband was able to do it. Cold wind came in from the balcony doors making our room excessively cold. Heat controlled centrally by hotel so no changes could be made. We were told there was 24 hour service but when we went to check out at 0730 to get to the ferry, no one would be available to check us out until 0800.

Very very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts, seaview from the hotel (altough we had a room on the opposite side of the hotel), near beach, not far to the Portoferraio center and ferry.

We missed a kettle and glasses in the room (that should be usual in the 3* hotel), we would preffer non fixed shower head.

Rooms a little small

Staff is awesome & happy to make & serve aperitifs at 6 with snacks. Fairly close to a crowded but good stone beach. Ping-pong table & interior & patio chairs were nice for hanging out. Everything super clean. Probably a good place if you have a car (we didn’t) , a bunch of parking spaces.

Considering the $$ the room felt small. Ok bathroom.
