The rooms are very good, with a good bed and bathroom, also they have a tv and a d fridge.
I would say that everything is perfect except for the nasty and very potent smell of naftalina all over the place, and the fact that you are inhaling that all night. I also don't like the fact that you have to do the checkout at 10 am

We were a little dubious when we arrived. It was a Sunday afternoon and the streets were empty apart from a few people partying in the street.
The hotel building is a lovely old art deco design. The entrance is wide with a short staircase to the reception desk and elevator.
We were given a room on the 3rd floor. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The whole hotel smelled of zesty lemon disinfectant.
Our room was large and decorated in the style of the era with high ceilings, decorative bay window, parquetry floor, ornate ceiling and architrave moldings.
Everything was was clean and comfy.
We required parking and the hotel has a deal with a lot a block or two away. Very secure.
Whilst this hotel is not in the best part of Montevideo it is close to the old town, and museums and is priced better than it's counterparts in the vicinity.
The only fault was that while everything was very clean, some things were dusty Ie bed head and bench top. This is a minor concern and it just felt like it let the room down a little.

Our room was not very clean. There were marks all over the wall and the shower curtain had blood on it. The room had a very old smell in it as well as the hallway to the room. The listing said there were renovations. But if that was our room the renovations must have been in the 70’s. There was no breakfast as advertised. The location was close to the historic center. but that’s it. there isn’t much to do around there and it gets pretty deserted at night. We would have opted to pay a little more and stay somewhere like Pocticos and just make a trip to see the historic area if we had know all this in advance.

The hotel provides the bare minimum. A check-in desk, a bedroom and bathroom. There are no other facilities at the hotel.
Given the cost, it would have been nice to receive breakfast, or at least a smile.

Nothing! I’ve traveled to more than 20 countries and this is actually the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
The staff is extremely rude, they treat you very bad, their rooms seem to be extremely old and awkward, the lift makes a lot of noise whenever someone uses it and I can tell you it’s a HORRIBLE experience.

It was fine for a night - helpful staff and big rooms. Kids liked the old school elevator!
Dated hotel, location wasn’t the best esp at night.
3.8
Actually liked it, friendly people on reception, good rooms
Music always playing in hall, kinda annoying
3.8
the elevator was nice to have instead of climbing stairs.
No coffee or snacks

Big room, big comfortable bed, a closet, nice bathroom with a spacious shower, there's an elevator, the location is good and there's a TV and an Air conditioner in the room.

not much.
Location. Room. Bathroom. wifi. No breakfast. Value for money.

Great location, perfect bed, extremely comfortable. I do like the old style of the place. Since it is still well maintained and overall was clean.
The guy that works frontdoor in the morning isn’t kind. Looks like we are doing a favor for him. Our shower stopped to get warm. I talked to the staff and they moved us to another room that didn’t have window. There was marks of drained blood in the shower curtain (I have pictures of it) from the previously room.
