My stay at Hotel Apollon in Kos Island was a delightful blend of beachside bliss and a scrumptious b

Located in the Lambi area, the hotel boasts a prime location with easy access to some of the island's best beaches. Upon arriving at Hotel Apollon, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The check-in process was smooth, and we were immediately impressed by the cleanliness and well-maintained appearance of the hotel. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the sumptuous breakfast spread offered at the hotel. The variety of options was truly impressive, and we found ourselves spoiled for choice. With three different egg styles, sausages, bread, spreads, mushrooms, hot dogs, pancakes, fritters, flakes, and a coffee machine to cater to our caffeine cravings, every morning started on a delicious note. The juice bar with a vast assortment of flavors and a wide selection of cakes added a touch of indulgence to the most important meal of the day. Throughout our stay, the staff remained attentive and helpful, always ready to assist us with any queries or recommendations for local attractions. Their hospitality truly elevated our holiday experience.

there are not enough sunbeds by the pool for such a large number of people. mostly all sunbeds are taken up with towels in the morning and some of them gape empty occupied throughout the day

The fabric of the hotel and gardens etc. was very good. Not very old.

Services like Wifi and safe were at (expensive) extra charge. Food selection was limited. Drinks selection was very limited. Queues for pool bar - not enough staff. Not enough sunbeds and no policing of people claiming sunbeds at 7am and not using them until afternoon!

My stay was like a dream. The terrace room was perfect

Breakfast was delicious..mushrooms, coffee, omlette... Pancakes...so colourful and plentiful. Effie was super fabulous helping me to feel at home. Also Cindy and Poppy on the front desk..really kind and helpful. Plus Irene cleaning my room was so nice and my room was always Clean and beautiful. The position of the hotel was like a dream ..near the beach and heaps of walking Paths around the complex The plants which I observed were really special in that they were botanical plants with medicinal properties. I will definitely come back again as I live in Kalymnos. I loved the Therma visits and I left feeling like I had a new body. Thankyou for the experience. Themi xx

Excellent stay - would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Apollon and wish we had stayed for longer. The staff was extremely nice and friendly and made us feel very welcomed! The facilities were excellent, clean and modern and the room was great. We were welcomed with a lovely plate of fruit and a bottle of water and wine. The location was really good, close to Lambi beaches, several restaurants and shops and a 20min walk to the town centre. The breakfast was great as well, lots of variety and choices for both savoury and sweet - Overall we absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again!

Disappointing experience

- Lovely modern room - Good WiFi - Walking distance to Kos town (approx 30 mins) with good transport links

- Staff were unwelcoming/rude - appeared understaffed in bar area - All inclusive was poor - very few drinks included (water was not included) - Food selection/quality was poor - Small pool but a good temperature - Little atmosphere (eg music around the pool/bar area) - Pictures slightly deceiving

Lovely room, very clean and comfortable to stay in. Shower and bathroom was nice. Great to have free bike hire on one day to commute into city centre.

Reasonable location to main attractions. Only issue is no elevator and with luggage it was difficult to get up the stairs. There was no help offered or given up the stairs.

We have been welcomed by Mrs. Poppy, such a lovely and classy lady. We had a beautiful and clean room facing the pool. Breakfast was great, with so much choises.

Best hotel near Kos Town by far.

The staff were very friendly and hardworking. Our housemaid, Lkjana, was brilliant. She made towel sculptures of animals every day to make us smile. The food was good and the hotel was modern and very clean.

The one bar with one barman was very busy and always a queue. A second bar or an extra person would improve this.

Excellent stay at a modern, clean, family feel hotel.

Incredible staff. It feels like a family run hotel. The rooms are clean and I had a fantastically sunny balcony with a view over the pool. I would absolutely stay again if I returned to Kos and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a pool based, sunny holiday. Internet is fantastic, which was important to me, as I needed to work. Food overall is good and hot. 20m walk to Kos town.

Some extra charges, like the gym. It is a stoney beach nearby but that isn't the hotel's fault! It all depends what you want.

Superb

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, genuinely some of the best I have encountered yet. Rooms were exceptionally cleaned and the effort gone into making towel animals / fruit / wine was a lovely touch. Breakfast and meals were good value for their price.

We ordered ground floor apartments for all rooms, but only got them for 1 on arrival. This was corrected to 2 rooms during the stay, but it would have been better to get what we booked on arrival - that would have made it the perfect stay.

Good all-inclusive stay in a beautiful deluxe room!

Let’s begin. Room- Absolutely amazing. Bright, modern, and clean. My friend and I were so surprised! Definitely meets and exceeds 4-star hotel expectations. I think these are the newly renovated deluxe rooms, so try to get one! Grounds- Very nice display and variety of plants/flowers around the hotel. Location- you’re outside the city center, but close to the beach. Walking to the center takes about 25-30 minutes. Covid Protocols- You had to wear gloves in the restaurant, and could get your own food. Much more effective than waiting to be served the food, as is in some hotels. WiFi- We didn't have to pay for it, and were given the code to use for free.

Food- It was definitely okay, especially for me who is a pescatarian. More variety of desserts would be nice. Breakfast was quite good, lunch and dinner were fine as well. They have an a la carte restaurant, closed due to Covid, but you can still reserve the menu for dinner, and eat while seated in the main restaurant. The food seemed to be quite good until the moment I found two pieces of chewed chicken at the bottom of my (vegetarian) mushroom risotto. Who even knows how that happened, but it makes me wary of how cautious the kitchen staff is… Pool Bar- They didn't have many of the snacks listed, and the water is definitely not drinkable!
