Algumas surpresas estranhas mas não passei a gostar menos.

Gosto de tudo.

Por 2 vezes encontrei coisas de outras pessoas em cima da minha cama, acho que continua a haver dúvidas da parte dos hóspedes em relação às respetivas camas, por isso aconselho a numerarem as mesmas de uma forma mais visível. Pela 1ª vez também vi várias vezes a porta do quarto mantida aberta com o chinelo de um hóspede, por acaso, desde a 1.ª vez que fico neste hostel que levo sempre o meu cadeado, caso contrario não sentiria que as minhas coisas ficassem seguras. Outra situação que reparei desta vez, isto porque fiquei num quarto diferente, é que outros hóspedes de outros quartos têm acesso a outros quartos, incluindo o meu, através da varanda, ou seja, não adianta a porta estar trancada se eles têm acesso pelas janelas das varandas que por norma estão abertas para a circulação de ar e baixar um pouco a temperatura nestes dias de calor, o que coloca em risco a segurança dos pertences e dos hóspedes, aconselho colocarem vídeo vigilância nestas áreas suscetíveis. Na 2.ª e última noite da estadia fui acordado por um hóspede que pensava que a minha cama era a dele, ou seja, a mesma pessoa que tinha pousado os seus pertences em cima da minha cama, após lhe ter indicado qual era a cama dele, pois era a única disponível no quarto, o hóspede colocou o colchão, almofada e edredão no chão da varanda e foi para lá dormir. Após achar todo este cenário fora do normal fui avisar na recepção o que se tinha passado, o funcionário foi até ao meu quarto para verificar a situação mas aparentemente não tomou nenhuma medida, o que depreendo que tenha sido para evitar algum tipo de ruído para não prejudicar o descanso dos restantes hóspedes. Apesar destas situações às quais acho que devem REFORÇAR ATENÇÃO, assim como o barulho que os hóspedes fazem quando chegam a meio da noite ainda continuo a gostar do hostel, localização, funcionários e da relação qualidade/preço.

Good stay with fun people

Les chambres sont grandes, les lits confortables, avec un balcon et une belle vue sur la ville! Pour le prix, c'est très bien, la cuisine est fonctionnelle, les douches sont suffisamment grandes, il y'a bcp d'espaces pour se poser, une belle terrasse très propice aux rencontres pr les solotravelers, un bar avec suffisamment de choix pr commencer avant de sortir a bairro alto en pub crawl.

L'echelle pr accéder au lit du haut n'est pas pratique, il y'a bcp de marches pr arriver à l'hostel et a sa chambre, et seulement une machine à laver et un sechoir qui ne peuvent pas fonctionner ensemble, et il manque des endroits pr étendre son linge pr le sècher

I’ll definitely stay here again.

The location is very good and I was able to easily take two tours from there. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The beer is nicely priced and there is a terrace. to sit on and enjoy it.

Big difference in dorms, prefer the upper ones and the lower beds.

Ι stayed 2 times in this hostel during my time in Lisbon, in different rooms, so I will write a general review of the place and then grade each area specifically. In the first place, I spent 2 nights in the 12 persons dorm. It is exactly on the road’s level and you enter the room without entering the hostel. At first sight it seems a bit scary being exposed by the windows with a view from the street, but ok nothing odd happened. What is the worst part of the room is that I was put aside and I had to walk the whole double area room to go to the -only one for 12 people- bathroom to pee during the night, trying to be quiet, let alone the people who were sleeping nearby the bathroom. The Wi-fi doesn’t work at all in that street level room. No internet at all, never. But what was the most embarrassing fact during my stay- which I found out that exists in both rooms- were the stairs to climb to upper bed. Guys, seriously you have to find a solution before someone gets injured. The stairs of the bed’s ladders to go to the upper bed and then go down are non-existent. No foot can be set on them because they are tiny. So any time you try to get up to the bed or go down you are totally exposed to fall. There’s no room to set the free foot. Guys, buy a spare ladder, no big deal to cause such problems. Please work on that. I tried the jumping method, which would be difficult for a shorter person. The same type of beds existed in the 10 persons dorm that I tried during my second pass from the hostel. It seems only one euro more expensive, but believe me it’s worth. More bathrooms, more toilets, Wi-Fi working perfectly there. So my proposal is, don't hesitate to get the 10 persons dorm and ask to be placed on the lower bed, as I did for my second passage from the hostel. Great place close to the metro and the historic center. Although my first experience was bad, I don’t think I would find something more cost-effective in the city.

Very basic

The location is pretty good, though there are a lot of stairs like in the rest of Lisbon. The kitchen is really nice and so are the common areas

The bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable. It's difficult to climb on the upper bed because the stair is too narrow. My room was small and very basically furnished. Lockers are small and uncomfortable. The check-in has been slow.

Nice staff, price

To reach the hostel you have to up the hill. Neighborhood is all covered in graffiti and doesn't look safe at night especially. You get into the room directly from the street, there is no hall, given that the door is made of glass and plastic it was noisy.

would not recommend

the room I stayed in looked nothing like the photos. It smelt SO bad… little black fly bugs everywhere (woke up with bites on me), the bathroom has either mildew or mold on the ceiling and in the shower… everyone was sick and I ended up getting sick after I left. I was supposed to stay 4 nights but left after the first… I never got refunded. 180$ is too much for what you get in my opinion.
