central location and very close to very nice restaurants and bars.
nice bar and terrase in the hostal too.
Toilets and showers are shared but clean.
If you arrive and nobody at reception, go to the other side, and enter from the bar, to get checked in.
WIFI did not reach my room.

Super friendly owners and hosts, really nicely decorated place, great sense of community — looking forward to coming back. Bed and bunk room were comfy and for a great price
Some builders and building inspectors working on the property used the shared toilets and left them dirty

the bar was really nice, where we met local people and spanish tourists, who are very social and nice. Good beer exchange before dinner. Dinner is included and not fancy but nice, and well prepared.
The room was warm at night, simple, but all you need, with enought electricity plugs to change batteries for all.
If you are going with friends and want to share a room, spend more money on sociallizing and drinks, this is a place for you.
Not much. This place is simple and basic, but the price is well suited for what it offers.

A lovely little hostel in a quaint mountain village. The hostel is a museum and was actually very interesting! It is clear a lot of attention to detail and history has gone into 1) the preservation of the hostel & building, and 2) raising awareness of the history of the beautiful region. We learned a lot (with our kids) during the stay. We were two families and shared a private room. Compared to some of the refuges we stayed while trecking this was Amazing value for money, and very comfortable! the food for both dinner and breakfast were great!
The service for breakfast was not super clear at first, but I think we may have been too early! Once we realized they were planning for later, all was great. They even offered plant-based milk, and the food was delicious! They make a lot of their own goods, from toasted almonds to cider!

Excellent service from the owner. Restaurant/bar/tabacos in the property and interesting museum.

The place is authentic and well situated for those who like to go hiking or there for the wintersports in Baqueira. Bonus is the fact you can have a look around at the museum-part of the place and the fact there is a room with a microwave to warm up your own food if needed.
The breakfast is extremely limited (no ham, cheese, juice just one morning) and for sure not "continental" as mentioned. Due to limited space you are very close seated to other tables, but what is for sure not COVID-proof is the fact you are sharing cereals and fruit with all other guests who are touching them during the same breakfast. Dinner is actually 22,50 instead of the 20 euros mentioned on Booking, but ok for being a refugio (poor compared to other refugios in the area that have much more difficulties to get supplies though). The place itself is pretty worn out and needs a huge refurbishment: beds, rooms and bathroom all have patches all over the place.

Amazing stay for just a night as a rest during a long hike in the Pyrenees, the host was very nice. Definitely a place where I would stay again if I am nearby in the future.
