Breakfast is excellent but see below
The staff on the desk were extremely pleasant and nice
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere.
We have stayed in the hotel many times. We stayed for 1 night on our way to St Tropez and 1 night on the way back. Both ways we had asked for room 104 and neither time did we get it. On the way back, we were shown to our room and I asked the porter how the television worked. The bottom line was that it was out of order. Two staff spent over an hour trying to sort it out and in the end we had to move rooms and were given a very nice room except that unlike the one we moved from, it was dark and over looked the main road which was very noisy when the windows were open. I was annoyed because I had just unpacked and because I was unable to go out whilst they were trying to fix the television.
Some rooms have heated towel rails and some don't.
Breakfast is horrendously overpriced.
The soap is very bad quality.

amazing location with beautiful views out of the window. The room was spacious and comfortable (especially the bed!) I didntʻ use the kitchen but it was well stocked with cooking essentials.

An excellent location to visit Avignon, where we could safely garage our car for a few days and explore on foot. The room facilities were good, with a kettle and a small fridge. The bathroom was a generous size with a separate WC.
I would have liked to have a second formal chair for sitting at the desk. Also, a small shelf in the shower to put shampoo and body wash on would be useful.

The hotel building is beautiful and has plenty of charm.
I think it is relying on past history and past guests. The hotel, apart from it’s location, beauty and charm is not five star as perhaps the Hermitage in Monaco or the Savoy in London or the Raffles in Singapore are.
When we arrived at the property the staff at the reception desk gave us a warm welcome as opposed to leaving it.
The bedroom was pleasant enough but didn’t match the photos of other classic rooms containing antic furniture. The room was dull, devoted of any charm, no view and rather dark inside.
The bathroom was clean enough apart some long hair found in the bath tub. The tiled floor in the bathroom needs brushing with some bleach. photos
On the bedroom door, there was some panel which I couldn’t understand the need for, it was covered in dust on the inside. photo
In the evening, after we had dinner and came back to the hotel, we went to the bar, which was very comfortable but there was no staff there. We had to go to the reception desk to ask for service. This happened for the second drink too, no one behind the bar. The barman was apologetic and friendly, which helped.
On leaving the day after, one night stay only, we went to the dining room for breakfast. The room was beautiful and tastefully arranged. Again, we had to ask for service at the reception desk, no one was there. A member of staff turned up and apologised and was friendly.
The breakfast buffet was , pathetic for a five star hotel. What was there was pleasantly displayed but not much choice. This was very disappointing indeed and again.

Fantastic location for visiting Pont de Gard & Le Pont d'Avignon. The hotel courtyard & setting of the hotel in a square of bar/cafes was lovely. Parking convenience and helpful staff.
The room was fine, but dull. The receptionist on arrival was clearly just 'fed-up' - no smile or welcome. This important position can create a positive or negative experience for the guest.

Location and building (it is a really pretty place)
The receptionist did a poor job. She never informed us about what was included in the reservation and we could enjoy only part of what we had programmed. She tried also to charge us a breakfast that we never had. Once she realised about her mistakes, after we explained them to her, she never apologised, really arrogant behaviour .

4 star quality in a 5 star hotel, top location, friendly staff, very comfortable bathroom
Right under our bedroom window an airco or similar device was humming most of the night, in spite of our question for a quiet room, very simple breakfast on 3 star level, no extras in spite of room rates of 400 euro and up

Good location to central Avignon. Checkin relatively easy with reasonably large bedrooms and bathroom which had been refurbished.
The hotel itself is very dated and the entrance courtyard is not fit for purpose. You wouldn’t want to sit in the courtyard it’s so rundown. Expensive for what it offered. Our room certainly didn’t look like anything on the website.

Everything was excellent. A very special recognition to Hanna who met all of our requests and made perfect recommendations. The terrace is the most beautiful we have seen. Cleanliness of room impeccable.
Nothing really

The garden is wonderful for a glass of champagne or food. The hotel has a small but very nice menu to enjoy in the garden now with corona restrictions, that was a nice surprise. Breakfast also good considering restrictions. Staff very friendly and informal. Lovely bed.

Location was excellent and my room was of a very high standard.
Restaurant was closed and no breakfast. Didn’t realize they had parking facilities as it was not announced!
