Was able to cook breakfast due to adequate amount of kitchen a accessories and a super market 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment had some plumbing issues that was particularly resolved after contacting the owner.
The apartment is a good20 minutes walk from the main tourist area of Cozumel so we had to take a taxi on several occasions. Don't bother flagging a took took taxi because apparently they are only allowed to pick up locals.

location and the vibes of a Mexican house with a local and touristy feel at the same time.
Facilities, co-ordination with the facility owner. Poor communication and language barriers of you dint speak Spanish.

It’s larger than a hotel, which is nice for friends traveling together. It’s a spacious two bedroom apartment with a large kitchen. Bit of a walk to the main part of town, but there are places to eat nearby. It’s more like living as the locals do than staying at a hotel. Would have been a 10/10 if it weren’t for the terrible experience during a plumbing emergency.
Zero communication from the property - even in the event of an emergency. I asked for transportation suggestions. No response. I tried to communicate when we arrived on Sunday. No response. I had a question about the wifi. No response. All of this I could forgive, but not what came next. We woke up Wednesday morning and the incoming water had stopped working. We couldn’t take a shower, flush toilets, wash hands, nothing. It was completely shut off. Contacted the property through THREE separate channels - phone, text, and message via Booking.com. No response. We decided to go out for the day and hoped it would be fixed when we got back. Nope. Some people came to work on it late that evening, but still no response to the messages I left. Somebody else showed up and gave us huge water jugs, but they were too big for us to lift or use. Great for drinking, but not for flushing the toilet. We stayed Wednesday night thinking it would be fixed the next day. By mid-day Thursday it still wasn’t fixed and zero communication from anyone. We were going home Friday, so we had to book another hotel at our expense just to take a shower and not feel embarrassed about going to the bathroom. Most people would expect a partial refund for the inconvenience and having to double-book, but nope. After three days of Booking.com trying to get a response, the property came back with no offer of a refund whatsoever. Not even an apology. I am a seasoned international traveler. I understand things happen and I try to be patient. I’m familiar with island time. This was beyond that. This was the worst lodging experience I have had in fifteen years with terrible customer service on top.

It's in a nice location. You're among locals so if you want to feel like you're living in an authentic area, it's great. The main street is within 15 minute walking distance so you're fairly close but still in a quiet residential area. Having a car helps but restaurants, shops etc are within a walkable distance if you don't have one. The property was nice and clean and has an off street parking area (watch out for coconuts!). You share the parking area with another property that the owners rent out right next door but there is enough space for 2 cars.
Not major problems but something that could be improved:
The downstairs area (kitchen, living room) doesn't have AC. It's not a problem in the morning but in the evening it can get a bit stuffy. There are ceiling fans, however.
Maybe a bit better system with the rubbish (extra rubbish bags, better explanation of where to put the full rubbish bags, how to separate). If you're a family eating in and staying a few days, the rubbish bin fills up fairly quickly and it becomes an issue.

Extremely spacious and abundant. Nice facilities.
The lady was a bit rude and seemd annoyed by our presence. Rest of the owning family seemed helpful. You can lock yourself out of the bedrooms, and need to wait for one of the owners to come by and open for you, which is annoying. You also have to buy more toiletpaper, trash bags etc. yourself.

We loved our stay at Casa Marisa, what a perfect apartment, we had everything we needed for 4 nights, amazing facilities, great location in the buzz of it all, private drive for parking, they even had Netflix and we loved the local artwork adorning the walls.
We didn’t want to leave this place it was just a perfect base to explore the island, the hosts were great to deal with and we just loved the laid back approach to our entire stay here, would definitely recommend 🥰

Charming, large and sunny 2-story apartment with great ventilation. great kitchen, a toilet upstairs and down and a roomy shower upstairs with hot water.
I didn’t have a car but there’s a roomy space in front. I did use the washing machine which worked well and hung the clothes on the line in the modest courtyard.
I felt quite safe.. basically a quiet residential street. A convenience store is a block away.
it was a bit further from super markets and central San Miguel than I expected, but I regularly walked to get groceries. Not an issue if you have a car or bike.

The best place I stayed in Mexico.
Amazing place with a very nice terrace and very cosy rooms (felt like home).
Basically it has all you need : very big living room, big table to eat, all kitchen equipment and a very big bed in bedroom. It even has washing machine and place to chill outside.
Nicely decorated, spacious and helpful owners.

The host was great. Its a very comfortable place with good ac inn the rooms.
the power was out on our last morning. I'm sure it wasn't the fault of the host but it was a bummer leaving Cozumel with dead phones.

Great value, clean, a/c upstairs blows nice and cold, plenty of space for a family. The space has character and is in a typical neighborhood, an easy drive from restaurants and stores.
Downstairs gets very hot and stuffy, and the couch bed isn't very comfortable. Had some issues with the downstairs toilet but they did their best to fix it.

Spacious apartment in a good price. Very clean and has all the required amenities. The host Badih and his family provided us a very warm welcome!
Everything was almost perfect. There are few minor points which can be improved:
1. If there is an Air Conditioner downstairs - it will be very comfortable during hot weather.
2. The kitchen sink has very less pressure in water flow. Since it was a minor thing - we didn't ask the owner to assist us with that. This can be improved for the future guests.

Hosts were amazing. Gave me a ride to and from the ferry and helped me print my covid paperwork. They were very responsive to messaging. The apartment was immaculate. Clean and comfortable. Good location a short 15-20 min walk from downtown area.
Nothing!

I have to say one of the best experiences of my first solo vacation was the house I stayed in. Far from the center which is what I was looking for. I did my 3 day dive certification in Cozumel and since I was going to be in the ocean pretty much the whole day on those first 3 days I didn’t think it was necessary to be by the ocean. I didn’t mind the walk to the center or to the ocean as it gave me a local perspective of Cozumel. If you’re not into walking, taxis are easy to get through what’s app. I was also close to local restaurants. The house itself was very clean... I knew my sheets and towel were freshly laundered prior to me arriving and it didn’t smell like it’s been left in a closet for months. There’s water that you can drink and when I was out Senor Badhi was very quick to have it refilled. Wifi most of the time worked... there were times when it was slow or completely not working but because the owner of the house just lives across the street it wasn’t hard to go to their house and let them know. Any issues or questions I ever had was quickly remedied or answered. Very nice and respectful family. I appreciate all their restaurant recommendations. They even came and picked me up from the Ferry when I arrived and waited for me patiently. On my last night, they told me if I needed to stay longer that I could stay past check out since there was no one checking in that day. When I was leaving to go back they offered to drive me to the dock. Major plus, was the washer, kitchen necessities were all available, bathroom was clean, hot water to shower, and air conditioning in the room. Planning on coming back here again on June and staying at the same place.
- A little far from the beach a little less than a mile.
- Wifi sometimes didn’t work but the owners were always quick to fix any issues
- Definitely not for light sleeper - the bedroom is upstairs but facing the the street
