Property is full of character. The staff, both reception and waitresses were lovely! Surprisingly large garden to the rear with parking. Location was perfect, easy walk into the historic town centre.
Issues come with such an ancient building. The stairs are steep and awkward, especially if you are on the top floor. The warning about the car park entrance is accurate, best check your car width beforehand if it is a large vehicle.

The location was perfect, about 4-minutes' walk from the train station and similar distance from city centre. The room was a 'stable room', separated by about 30-seconds' walk from main reception building. It was in a row of four stable rooms and had a patio area with table and two chairs for each room. Lovely to sit out in sunny weather. Also had a larger garden and deck chairs and more patio furniture. The breakfast room was in the main reception building, nicely decorated with gold/red wallpaper and all the tables were spaced out well. Breakfast options included continental and cooked, and had an optional 'Daily Special'. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. We both loved it, and would happily stay there again.
There was nothing we didn't like, everything was good.

Ontbijt was goed, op order, dus je moest wel van te voren bedenken wat je wilde hebben. Locatie was ideaal. Rustig maar met alles op loopafstand. Prachtige tuin voor warme avonden om in te zitten.

The stable room we had was beautiful, gorgeous bathroom and the grounds were beautiful and so peaceful. You did hear the train but was not a problem. The TV in room some channels there was not a good reception. The breakfast was excellent lovely presented didnt think much of the plastic chairs shame as the whole place was beautiful. The entrance was tight but can be done. We loved it that much we have booked again. Highly recommended.
The plastic chairs in dining room I thought let it down.

Clean quirky and great value.
Great but for the parking entrance which took ten years off my life. Will need to rethink the size of vehicle we bring next time. :-)

Location was good. Close to cathedral and downtown area.
Breakfast was good. Honor bar could be valuable but never had time to use it. Lounge areas were comfortable. Very pleasant.

Location
Could have been cleaner. Room had dirty mirrors and net curtains. Couldn’t open the windows for fresh air.

The proximity to the town, the feel of the accommodation and the quiet despite where it was.

We liked everything from the helpful very friendly staff to the large but cozy room. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the cathedral and shops. Plus parking on site.
The only, very slight downside, was the shower screen that moved whilst you showered. It meant the floor got a bit wet.

From the moment we arrived till the time we left we were impressed with the staff and the information provided to help with our stay. The hotel was very clean, with an excellent choice of breakfast. The hotel was ideally positioned for all there is to see and do in Canterbury with plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Small little things like the honesty bar, underfloor heating in the bathroom and the offering of crockery and cutlery for those that want a takeaway are willingly provided.👍
Nothing 🙂

We stayed in the Stable room 5 for two nights. The beds were very comfortable, there was tea and coffee making facilities with plenty to choose from including decaf. The bathroom had a very large walk in shower and compliment shower and hand wash gels to use. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have every had, locally sourced eggs, bacon and sausages all served by friendly Staff. All the Staff we met from Reception to the Breakfast Room were lovely to deal with and made you feel that they were pleased to see you and very helpful with any queries we had.
We will be booking again in May and cannot wait to stay again.
There is nothing we did not like and nothing we felt could be improved. The place is just perfect as it is.

A warm friendly welcome from Jane after a long journey was much appreciated, a guided tour followed.
The accommodation was exceptional and faultless, if all traveling experiences could be like this .
Thank you to the cooks cleaners and all the staff we didn't see , well done !

location was excellent.
room was clean, modern, warm and comfortable.
loved the honesty bar - what a great idea.
great choice for breakfast.
all good, except the rather tight car entrance - just pull your wing mirrors in, take it carefully and slowly and you’ll be fine

Well we’re do I start…we only stayed for one night but I can confirm 100% my wife and I will be coming back time and time again and possibly with family or friends. The room was outstanding along with everything else, location, breakfast and the staff. The main building was very homely and warming. They operate an honesty bar which is well stocked with all types of goodies. Guys I hope you take advantage of staying at House of Agnes as you will not be disappointed.
