Bra mat i restaurangen
Dålig standard på rummen. Gemensamt badrum under all kritik, nedslitet och smutsigt. Som att stiga in i 1960-talet…

Sijainti huippupaikalla, hyvät vaellusreitit. Hyvä ruoka.

The absolute best thing is the location: the trails (Taivaskeron kierros and Palkaskeron kierros) start exactly from the hotel's car park. Also the hotel is surrounded by reindeer, it was amazing looking at them and taking pictures every time we went inside or outside of the hotel :) The room was very clean and spacious and had a great view. Breakfast was also very good, typically Finnish with many different options (you even get to make waffles!).
The only thing we didn't love was the restaurant. The food was very good but too expensive. Also, since the nearest café or supermarket is in Muonio (30km away), we were hoping we could buy something small for lunch to take with us to go hiking, but the options were very limited and not that good. So it would have been better to buy some snacks in advance for our hikes before arriving at the hotel.

Loistava aamiainen

Breakfast was outstanding. There was a large selection of different options available. Room was very simple but it was adequate for someone who is visiting Pallas for outdoor activities. The hotel sauna is also very good in my opinion. Nice way to relax after each day of hiking.

Lovely authentic hotel, tucked out of the way, we think they were suprised that 2 aussies came to stay. Rooms were small but cosy, shared bathrooms down the hall. Loved the breakfasts and all the choices. We even found a swimming hole to plunge into after skiing for the day. Sauna was being rebuilt, so we had to do it tough :-)
everything was great

We really enjoyed the authentic atmosphere in Pallas. I wouldn't change anything about the hotel. It was everything we dreamed of and even more. The location is perfect for a ski holiday (we did cross country) and for relaxing in a beautiful landscape.

There's truly no better place to stay for a skiing adventure in the fells of Pallas. The location of the hotel is perfect, in the midst of the mountains, and provides the ideal base for adventures on cross country, alpine, or backcountry skis. At night, if you are lucky, the lack of light pollution makes this an incredible place for the northern lights (or just the stars).
The atmospheric old mountain lodge style of the hotel suited us perfectly. The dining room is beautifully designed, the sitting areas are cozy, and the hotel guides ("owls") lead daily tours of the mountains, free for hotel guests. They're also helpful for anyone planning their own adventures.
The man at the ski rental shop deserves a special mention for being incredibly friendly and helpful. He was very patient in introducing us to backcountry skis and setting up all the gear, and provided excellent suggestions to help us have a great first experience.
The rooms are austere and somewhat institutional, but this is part of the style of the hotel. You're also in the middle of the mountains, in a national park.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with many Lapland touches, such as spruce shoot smoothie, blueberry soup, lingonberry, and cloudberry jam. The hot breakfast items also rotated, great if you have a longer stay. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and well executed, albeit at typical Lapland prices. The spruce cake was particularly delicious. Food truck outside during the day also quite good.
Would suggest to skip the Lappish delicacies platter, as the portion is miniscule for 26 euros.

The hotel’s breakfast was excellent. Also the dinner enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurant was delicious.
The rooms could be updated.

The man in the reception is friendly and very welcome.
The resturant is great. It is just in the nature.
Although everything is still functioning but the property needs some renovations. The lady in the reception is not welcoming.

Exceptionally cosy atmosphere in an unique location. Great breakfast and the best reindeer kebab from a street kitchen on a parking lot (1st of May extra). Spacious sauna.
The drying closet for sportswear in the room is old and inefficient.

the staff were so very friendly and helpful, the food was great (especially the breakfast) and the location is perfect- in the middle of nature!
it is pricey, especially for a young couple like us, but it was still worth the money. the price is very justified by what you get! we hope to come here again one day when we can afford to stay longer.

Great for outdoor activities. It a special place.
The hotel needs definitely a renovation. Everything is very old, it looks like untouched since >30 years. Wlan only in certain areas, slow.

Excellent location in the middle of the Pallas fells. Price to quality ratio not that high as the rooms (and overall facilities) are a bit outdated by now. However, everything was clean and tidy. Superb restaurant with local dishes and drinks. Highly recommended for people who enjoy hiking on the fells, also a great end to the legendary Hetta-Pallas hike. Parking lot often occupied by reindeer friends (an absolute bonus for me personally). In general, I would recommend this place for its hospitality and old time feel - however, be mindful that the facilities are a bit outdated. Sauna also available on a daily basis.

The breakfast is amazing! If you're not staying here I would recommend driving up for breakfast before hiking! The ala carte food was good as well.
And of course the location could not be better for a hiking holiday. Trails leaving from the backyard, and there are a few bikes for hire if you want to mix your activities.
The beds are a bit hard, after a day of hiking a bit more comfy bed would be nice.

Location. Strait on the skies, regardless of type, from the door.
Although the place has it's own unique appearance, maybe the outer walls would need some paint time to time.

It is in the national park with immediate access to the tops of Pallas which is the place to go in Finland for a number of snow sports and paragliding.
The property is old and in need of repair in many ways.

Dining was arranged very well under the corona restrictions. Staff was extremely friendly and location was perfect.
WiFi only available in public areas.

Location and the views
You can tell that the identity is a bit lost of this place. It’s screaming for a major refurbishment. The spaces are very old school, which is nice, but can be renovated. You can hear the steps from the corridors and neighboring rooms.

Nice place in National Park
