Location was brilliant, breakfast really good, staff were super friendly
So few sun loungers at the pool, guests put towels on beds but then were not there. I dont feel this should be allowed

The staff was phenomenal, they were so attentive and kind, very hard working! The location was excellent and it was easy to walk everywhere I wanted to go. The pool was very nice, and the breakfast was delicious too.

Location was away from a lot of the noise, it did have a good view from the poolside if you can call it a pool

The location was great, near town and the beach, so we could walk everywhere.
The shower was amazing, very powerful, the bedroom was very clean and we had a nice view.
During our stay there was a strike with Comboios Portugal (trains) and our train was delayed in hours and could be cancelled. We tried an late check-out by paying an extra fee, so we could enjoy the day a bit more and have a shower before we live, but there was no negotiation, even though the bedroom was free (A staff told us they make a mistake and it was booked for us). They offered to leave the luggage, but nobody wants to take a 4 hour train full of sand, so wouldn't help us at all. So I believe in this situation, should have more flexibility. We had to pay another hotel nearby to have a shower before we left.

very good central location just a short walk from the beach and the old town, the hotel room was comfortable and clean with working AC. we recommend this hotel
we had the room facing the common terrace and there were people smoking just outside our room, which left an unpleasant smell in our room

very close to the main center
breakfast didn’t have many choices, the bar wasn’t very well staffed

The hotel itself was very beautiful and had an amazing view of the beach/town. The pool was awesome and the staff were super helpful and nice. My husband especially loved the breakfast. The location was also very convenient for us. We took a boat trip out of the marina and this was very walkable to that and we were also able to walk from the bus depot to this hotel (granted I would recommend taking a taxi, but you could walk it if you wanted). The room was small but very comfortable and the AC worked well enough for us (we sleep very hot so that often is not the case). I think the view and the staff were definitely the best of our trip!
I got a message after booking saying they needed a 200 euro (in cash) deposit when we arrived in case of damages which was kind of sketchy to me and inconvenient as we had not planned to travel with a ton of cash on us so we had to make a special trip to the bank to get euros. They did not ask for it when we arrived though which was just as well. There was a sign about how they would charge 50 euros per towel that is damaged from makeup or tanner/sunscreen, etc. That was new to me and made me very nervous so it is worth noting. We were only there one night and were very careful, so I don't think we were charged any extra, but you might bring some of your own wash clothes and beach towels to use to be safe.

Location
A water pipe burst on my floor during my stay. Due to this my room flooded and a portion the ceiling fell down in front of my doorway and nearly hit my head. None of the staff ever asked how I was or even looked at me until I had to ask them to change my room to a dry floor. They made it seem as if I was an inconvenience and not a guest.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely location

Very good localisation
Small swimming poll with always cold water. Really small breakfast, everyday this same. Without any hot dishes like fried eggs or something. You need to ask about any refill. very unpleasant lady cleaning rooms.

After 3 days in Porto, we arrived in Albufeira for 3 days to chill and pause before heading to Lisbon. The Vila Sao Vicente is located in close proximity to beach, live music, restaurants, supermarket (Mercado), pharmacy with onsite doctor. At night, the town is full of restaurants and outdoor seating, mostly families and young people. Disappointed there was no live bossa nova, samba music only English music. Maybe due to Covid 19. There are no quiet places to relax in hotel except by pool which closes at 10pm (22hr). The hotel does not provide water, tea in rooms. It’s best to purchase water at Mercado or purchase at hotel. Also we noticed in Porto and Algarve that only 1 napkin is provided with meals. Not sure why.
Good places to eat are Casa Del Mar (grilled octopus + salmon), Eddys (salad w/shrimps, hamburger + Sangria), Bailote (paella). We are two
American women travelers (age 50) so we walked around, purchased momentos and wine. We opened a bottle of Cabriz Sauvignon Blanc wine to drink at poolside in late afternoon to were reminded of the small bar with limited drink selections. My friend ordered a pina colada and was not impressed. We enjoyed the wine with cigars.
To buy euros, we had to use the ATM across from Cambio Exchange place, which only gives 20 euros bills. We then went to Cambio Exchange for 5 and 10 euros. Cambio will buy back your euros; however, we could not use credit card to buy them. They’re opened only on weekdays 9:30am-1pm.
Vila Sao Vicente has a descent size pool but not enough lounge chairs for full capacity occupancy. The pool overlooks the beach and it’s picturesque. For breakfast, you will be asked for preferred time to eat (outdoors by pool) and to complete a breakfast form with daily selections. Note you will eat the same selection each day, unless you ask. They will accommodate. We stayed in room 108 which has no view but we didn’t care as we did not expect to spend time in the room other than to sleep.
The room doesn’t include an iron, tissue box, toiletries, blankets. No bathroom hooks to hang towels, etc.

Great location with a good view (breakfast at the pool)
We felt that the staff was overwhelmed especially during the breakfast as they didn’t seemed prepared to serve all their guests properly. However, the staff available was very friendly and helpful.

Bed was very comfortable and the Air con had our room like a fridge it was really nice as the heat was crazy hot! The hotel is very clean and the pool area is lovely with amazing views. 3 minute stroll down to the main Old town square which was a great plus!
Breakfast has to be pre ordered the day before which just didn't work for us, we paid for breakfast inclusive but never had it as we were always busy the evening before... an open buffet would be better. There is a 50 euro charge if you damage towels etc. with tan but the soap provided by the hotel is bright orange and I spilled it on a towel by accident and it stained even after several hand washes in the sink, just hoping the washing machine will get it out. Bar was also poorly stocked, the bar ran out of superbock on tap (the only draught tap available) at the start of the week and the keg was not replaced for the remainder of the week and the cocktail menu is obsolete as they didn't have the makings of most of the cocktails
