For hiking the Ruta del Cares, this is the place to stay

Private parking available and the hotel sits on the road to the Ruta del Cares and the path to Buines and the mountains beyond. The fenicular railway to Buines only 5 minutes walk. Good sized room with en suite shower amd toilet. Good menu del dia available for lunch and dinner, breakfast was typical continental.

No air conditioning, but probably not needed in the mountains.

Las vistas impresionantes, la atención del personal no podia ser mejor. 🫶🏻 El desayuno te llena y el menu del dia está muy bien y ademas a buen precio(17€). Aparte tienen la carta con platos buenísimos. Nosotras pedimos unas croquetas que fueron de las mejores que hemos comido y muslo de pollo con ensalada y patatas 🤌🏻 La verdad que muy bien todo y ademas tienen un gatito monisimooo ❤️

Habían muchos mosquitos pero dada la ubicación es normal 😊

Great choice for access to Cares gorge walk.

The last hotel before the Ruta des Cares walk begins so it's very convenient. Hotel has own reserved parking. Very important if it's a busy day and you arrive after 11am and no street parking available. Nice bar area and superb egg bacon and chips after the long gorge walk which is truly spectacular and not to be missed. Friendly staff. Great mountain view from our room overlooking the road. Comfy bed.

Bathroom is very small but adequate.

Very good

Lovely clean and comfortable budget hotel. Staff very friendly. The menu del dia at 15 euros was a great deal, great local comfort food at the end of a long days hike.

No concerns at all.

Perfect location for hiking at Picos de Europa

The family who runs this small low-key hotel are wonderful. The rooms are small and simple, but the location is perfect for parking and day hiking and the hosts very warm. We also enjoyed the lunch of the day which was a great deal.

there were some problems with the wifi, which isn‘t a big problem but there is no recepcion

Comfortable stay in a great surrounding

Comfortable room in a nice surrounding. We like the food. The menu of the day is very cheap. The room is clean and the staff is very kind. They practice the COVID rules very good, it feels safe. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel in excellent location for walking or a day in Bulnes.

The hotel staff were lovely, especially the guy who travelled to Canada (he was super friendly and patient with my attempts at Spanish!) Parking was excellent and plentiful. The room was basic, but with a good bathroom and shower and storage was good. The terrace was nice to have a drink at and watch all the hikers coming and going as it's right on the start (or end) of Rutas de Cares. We actually didn't walk the Ruta as we had done quite a bit from the Cain end, so we took the funicular to Bulnes for a very chilled out rest day and loved it. Location was great! We had dinner at the hotel (I had goat - or roasted kid ha ha!!) and it was very very good indeed!

Maybe a little more choice in the breakfast would have been good - it seems so many of the hotels we stayed at in the area do just tostada with ham and cheese / jam. It gets a bit 'samey' after a while. However, the orange cake that came with it was delicious!

Perfect location

Perfect location for the funicular that takes you up to the beautiful village of Bulnes. It’s not a fancy hotel but certainly clean and welcoming. The staff were attentive and the breakfast was more than sufficient. Great value for money. The menu was also excellent for the price.

Great, would stay there again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but great and the food at the restaurant was very good. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was a little on the small side. Very good value for money and perfect location for doing various hikes in the area (within walking distance).

Not a fan of blankets on the bed. I get the feeling that blankets aren't washed after every guest (in general at every hotel) but could be wrong! I just prefer having a quilt with a removable quilt cover.

Perfect location for a hike

Perfect location for a hike the next day. Room was clean, breakfast was fulfilling.

Not a lot of parking space if you do not want to park on the street itself. Entrance was kind of hard to spot, you have to go through the restaurant.
