Everything! Was really cute and cozy/welcoming. Will definitely stay again in the future! We stayed on a whim when my cousin was having a mastectomy. We intended to stay with her, but found out it wasn’t allowed when we were there. Balcony was amazing and just what we needed to decompress after a stressful day!

Location was the best!
A bit too small. There was noise from the room on top. It is an old building.

Location
Bathroom sink had a few strands of hair, towels had stains, handheld shower was broken, bedding had stained on them and hallway had a fouled smell.

The property was in a nice part of the city.
The room was very small - there was barely space to walk around the bed and there was nowhere to put my luggage. The "kitchen" was a microwave, a sink and a kettle (so not a kitchen) and I was only provided with a few paper plates, plastic cutlery and throwaway cups to eat from. There was no soundproofing - the people in the room upstairs woke me up just by walking around for example. Despite telling Sonder twice that I would be leaving at 11am, housekeeping tried to get into the room at 9:15am - I had just gotten out of the shower but luckily I had placed the bolt across the door so that they couldn't walk in on me in the nude.

Excellent location
Not having a front desk is completely unacceptable, and very uncomfortable, specially when doing check in and check out.
The check in process is painful and annoying.
This should be more clear at the booking app.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We liked being able to watch Netflix on the tv.
We had a very long journey and asked if we could possibly get into our room 2 hours early. They said yes but then asked for a fee of $30. It’s not a budget hotel, and kind gestures go a long way towards securing repeat bookings.

The location is great. all things being virtual proved difficult as they provided the wrong Wi-Fi password, the tv didn’t work properly and can only be watched from the bed. Only two towels, no housekeeping and a bed that needs to be replaced, my back is killing me.
No cable tv, no hdmi 1 input to Mirror my computer, the most horrible bed, only two towels, no housekeeping offered.

The check in was very easy and quick, the room was excellent, big shower and comfortable bed, spacious and clean. The location is amazing!

location
the person in the room above us was so noisy and banging around at 5:30 which woke us up and kept us awake

Sonder Back Bay was a lovely place to stay. It was central to shops, services and bus routes. The building and room were delightful, and I was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone on business or personal travel as the room allowed for considerable self-sufficiency.
No issues. All good.

Location.
Not enough lockers for luggage. Luggage don't fit inside locker
3.0
located so close to the convention center
shower leaked water on floor, window blinds don't go up, couldn't work the coffee maker
3.5
Great location and comfortable bed. Library / lounge as extra space to work was really useful.
Our room had a smell of diesel heating. The bed was difficult to access on one side. The kitchen area was poorly equipped - there were plastic cups but that was about it; we would have liked a plate and bowl and spoon each.

The location was great. Very close to Hynes Convention Center and train stations.
The bus stop was also very close so easy access to and from the airport.
The walls are pretty thin, so you can hear late night conversations.
Also since the street is right by, woke up in the early morning to the sound to trucks.

Kitchen in room was well equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Appreciated that there were plates/cutlery in the room.
Smell of toiletries was unpleasant; coffee in the room was not palatable.
The room didn't have a desk/working area. This was unclear in the room profile on the website.

The Location and the view from the room
The service, i've got to say that it was absolutely shocking!! I've never experience such a poor experience in dealing with a hotel or anyone within the hospitality industry in my entire life. Having arrived at 2.30 after travelling for over 11 hours we where told that couldn't go have the room until 4pm, with no luggage storage available we where made to sit outside the room for a further 1 hour until eventually they agreed to let us in. It was absolutely comical, we paid $5,000 for a week to stay here and they had the cheek to ask for another $30 to check in early! Unbelievable!! However it was also topped off by the constant lies of the rep saying the room wasnt ready! Stupidly he didnt realise we had the code to enter the building and we actually sat outside the room in the corridor waiting for them to eventually agree to let us in, so this was a complete LIE , all they wanted to do was try to charge us even more money.
Imagine travelling all that way for them to make you sit in the corridor for an hour - what an absolute disgrace!!!
In addition to the above its a huge shame that the service is so bad, as the property is in the best location of Boston, but Sonder are trying to be this super cool cost effective company that run everything by an app and dont actually have this face to face interaction that people enjoy when staying in hotels. The overall experience was just shocking.
Having eventually entering the room, it was clean and great views but again more issues came up! What is the point of having a small kitchen if you dont have any cutlery and glasses, its just pointless, providing paper cups like your on some sort of school trip and paper plates like your a baby! again embarrassing!!
We stayed for 7 nights and when I asked for the room to be cleaned, guess what happened - I got a response saying yes but I would have to pay for the room to be cleaned! I mean this was just the cherry on top. I actually laughed!!!
