Hotel location useful for an interesting city

Location very useful for town centre, staff friendly and breakfast adequate.

Free parking, garden, refrigerator and safety deposit box.

OK nothing special

Bed sheets were clean & freshly laundered. The room was quiet. Breakfast was good

I have stayed here a number of times. The general decoration and carpeting are beginning to show signs of wear.

although always loved the hotel may choose to go somewhere else due to this experience

we have been there before and the location and the staff are great; as is the breakfast.

we didn’t get as nice a room this time. the decor was tired, the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working nor was the tv.

Awful experience staying at this 1-star hotel and paying a 5-star price. Will never stay there again

Nothing, would never stay at this hotel again at over 100 Euros per night.

Where do I begin!. Here the list, in order of encounter. No secure parking, had to pay for street parking, no restaurant in hotel. Bar not open until 7pm!, Wi-fi very slow/weak. 3 Euros upgrade option to get to 7 or 8mps. Don't stay here if you have to work. Tiny "double" room - the smallest I have stayed at ever. Poor breakfast. All of the above negatives cost me £130 in total for the "experience", the night before I stayed at a 5-star hotel in Toledo Spain in a room 5 times the size and with all the facilities you would expect such as free/secure parking, fast internet, full cooked breakfast and my check-out bill was £68. I was not expecting a 5-star experience at the Ibis-Alencon but for sure I was not expecting the lack of facilities, tiny room, email-only capable wifi etc for £130. I don't usually write reviews and I am not a complaining type when travelling back to UK from Spain on my own with dog but there are certain basic requirements such as, at the very least, being able to have a beer at the hotel late afternoon on arrival after 7 or 8hr drive!

Great stopover on our way through France with 2 dogs

Lovely staff on reception and in the breakfast room. Parking right outside the door. Great location in the town centre. Dog friendly. Nice bar downstairs.

Pleasant stay

Hotel close to downtown

It was busy in town, therefore difficult to find a parking place. Reception assistant gave misleading information about where to park, as we found out later.

Superb

Good location parking directly outside, you have to pay but its free from 6pm to 9am the next day. Good value for money, all downstairs rooms well decorated , fan in the room

Great overnight stop, Alencon itself is a nice town.

The hotel is centrally located and there is secure 24hr parking close by.

The hotel corridors had a bit of a musty smell but the room was ok and bed comfortable.
