Wunderschön eingerichtetes Cottage auf dem Gelände einer Farm in einsamer romantischer Landschaft. Sehr nette Gastgeber. In der Umgebung viele Gelegenheiten zum Wandern.
W-Lan ist nicht sehr stabil.

Perfect location in glorious countryside. Nice rustic ambience. Lovely magical walk nearby by protected water meadow.
There seemed to be a recurring plumbing problem (odour) which the management were making efforts to rectify.

The Wagon House is part of a working farm and is set in an exceptionally beautiful location at the edge of the Quantocks. It is also near the West Somerset Railway, a heritage railway that operates trains drawn by former GWR steam locomotives (Prairie tank and Manor class). The shriek of a train's whistle echoing from the hills was a feature of our stay. There are many interesting villages and sites to visit; we saw a herd of red deer on Bicknoller Hill; and were given a tour of Halsway Manor, a Folk Music Centre. We also visited Bicknoller, Stogumber, Crowcombe, Dunster (and beach), and Minehead. The houses and churches are built of the local red sandstone. In all we had a wonderful time, helped by some excellent weather. Though carless, we travelled about easily with the help of the 28 bus service, which operates along the main road from Taunton to Minehead (A358). The cottage was comfortable, had excellent modern facilities, while preserving some of its former rustic character, and our only complaint was about the loo, which worked erratically.
As said above, the loo was temperamental and at times refused to flush: we had to resort to pouring buckets of water down it.

The location of Meadowsweet Farm is wonderful. Very quiet, but within easy reach of the north Somerset coast and walking distance to the local village pub. The property was lovely, very well presented and clean, and the christmas decorations were a nice touch. It was very quiet and peaceful, with lovely walks across the farmland and down to the stream and woods.
No DVD player as stated. The wifi may well work in the other properties on site, but there was no access within the Wagon House - walls too thick in this old property perhaps? We had 4G on our network as soon as we got near the front door however, so not a problem.
